I want us to lift our hands unto God this morning and begin to bless Him because He’s able to do all things. I want us to lift your hands and worship Him. Father, we honor You, we exalt Your name this morning, we thank You because You are faithful, thank You because You are merciful, thank You because You are gracious. Lord, we honor You this morning in this place because You are able to do all things, we honor Your presence. I want you to open your mouth and worship God, please lift your voice to God. Father, we bless Your name, thank You, Jesus.
Lord, we thank You this morning, we bless Your name because Your presence is in this place, we thank You because of Your glory that is in this place, thank You for Your power that is at work in our midst, thank You because of Your presence in this midst, Father, we honor You, we exalt Your name, be exalted and be glorified in the mighty name of Jesus.
Lord, this morning we want to hear You only, we want to hear Your voice, we don’t want to hear the voice of any man. Lord, I pray that You speak specifically to every one of us in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. I pray You open our eyes of understanding to see Your purpose and Your plan for our lives so that we can live in the fullness of everything that You have written in Your books in the mighty name of Jesus.
Lord, I hide myself behind the cross, I pray that You only will be revealed and You only will be glorified in the name of Jesus. Blessed be Your name our Father, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
I want to thank God for the privilege He has granted unto me to stand before the people of God this morning to share the word of God, and I also want to thank God for our daddy in the Lord, the PICR region 71. I want to thank God for him and for all the pastorate for the privilege he has granted unto me to share the word of God this morning, and I pray that as we listen to the word of God, I pray that the Lord Himself will speak to us in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
I believe strongly in my heart that God wants to align us with His purpose for our lives, He wants to bring us into the fullness of everything that He has written concerning us in heaven.
So this morning, the theme of this message is “You Are Made For More”. I believe that’s a message to somebody, you are made for more, and I want you to talk to somebody beside you, tell that person that you are made for more.
And the text of this message is taken from the book of Jeremiah 1: 4-10, then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 5Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. 6Then said I, Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. 7But the Lord said unto me, say not, I am a child; for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shall speak.
8Be not afraid of their faces; for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord. 9Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. 10See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plants. Praise the Lord! I believe God is already speaking to somebody this morning.
The verse five is where I’m going to be starting from this morning, it says, “Before I formed thee in the belly,I knew thee; there are two things I want us to take note of there, there is something that God is saying here regarding our formation, the formation of man.
He said before I formed thee I knew thee, meaning that every man that is born into this world existed in the realm of the spirit before they are born physically into the world, so the person that is sitting right beside you was not just a physical body, there is a spiritual dimension of everybody that is seated here. So everybody existed in the realm of the spirit in the realm of God before you actually appeared physically.
We are going to see the two dimensions of the formation of man in the book of Genesis 1: 26-29, and God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. That is first dimension, so that’s the first existence of man in the realm of the spirit.
Now let’s look at the second dimension. Genesis 2:7, and the Lord God formed man of the dust of the earth, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Hallelujah! So when God created man the first creation, God already has designed him and put in him everything, every capacity that he needs to fulfill the purpose of God.
So every man that is born like I said earlier has been created already in the realm of the Spirit, but before they become physical, God already have put inside of them everything that he or she is going to become upon the face of the earth. And the Bible says that God formed man out of the dust of the earth and God breathed into his nostrils, so when God breathed into the nostrils, the life that was inside of God entered into Adam and the Bible says that he became a living soul.
Any man that is living without the breath of God, without operating the dimension of the first creation is actually not a living soul. So every man that is living upon the face of the earth, living life without expressing the intention of God for the first creation, that person is not a living soul, such person can be regarded as a living dead. The person is alive but the person is not alive. Praise the Lord!
We are going to see that as well in Psalm 139:13-17, the Bible says, for thou has possessed my reins; thou has covered me in my mother’s womb. 14I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are thy works; that that my soul knoweth right well. 15My substance was not eat from thee, when I was made in the secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. 17How precious also are your thoughts towards me, oh God! how great is the sum of them! Praise the Lord!
So the person that is sitting inside of you is not the physical body. Man is in three dimension; man is a spirit, has a soul, and lives in a body, so the person that is sitting, the real you is actually inside of you, God has put inside of you the person that He has designed to express the purpose of God upon the face of the earth. Praise the Lord.
What is the purpose of the creation of man? We have understood from the foundation that the original man exists in two dimensions, the first creation which is the spirit that God breathe into you, and the second dimension is the physical body. Praise the Lord.
What’s the purpose of creation of man? Every man that is born into this world has a specific contribution to the overall purpose of God which is eternal, God is from eternity to eternity, and the purpose of God is also from eternity to eternity, so every man that is born into the world, God packaged a dimension of His purpose into them and send them into the world.
Everyone that is seated here, there is a dimension of the purpose of God that God wants you to express in this generation. Praise the Lord. And we’re going to see in the book of Jeremiah 1:10, what is the purpose of God for creation of man? It says, see, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant. That’s for Jeremiah, that’s the dimension of God that God put inside of Jeremiah to express in his own generation.
In the book of Genesis 2:15, the Bible says, and God placed the man in the garden of Eden to tend and to watch it, that is for Adam, that’s the dimension of God that God put inside of Adam. The book of Hebrews 10: 5-10, about Jesus, the Bible says, wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body thou has prepared for me. 6In burnt offering and sacrifice for sin thou hast no pleasure. 7Then said I, lo, I have come (in the volume of the books it is written of me) to do thy will, oh God.
That is about Jesus, so everybody that is existing upon the face of the earth, there is a book that God has written about you in heaven, in the eternal plan of God, and I said is from eternity to eternity, so there is a record in heaven for everyone that is seated here this morning, God has written something specifically about everyone here to fulfill in their own generation, and this is our own generation, what is God saying concerning you and me? What is the purpose of God for you and me?
Praise the Lord.
We have read about Jesus, there is a volume of book that was written about Jesus Christ, and for everyone here that is sitting here this morning, by the grace of God there is something as well that God has put inside of you, you are created for more than what you can ever imagine. I want you to please say to yourself that ‘I am created for something more than this world’, ‘I say I’m created for something greater than I can ever imagine’. Praise the Lord.
Now we have understood by the grace of God the purpose of God that every man is created for a purpose, and there is something that is called the currency of the purpose of God and that is time. So when God released a (human) being into the world, there is something that God gives that person and that is time, to fulfill the purpose of God.
I want us to look at the book of Psalm 90:12, so teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. So every day that we live upon the face of the earth is actually numbered, and as far as God is concerned, God doesn’t look at the fulfillment of His purpose in a year, He looks at it every day – the day that you have been given, what is the purpose of God for that day? Praise the Lord.
What is the purpose of God for today, Sunday 18th of October for each and every one of us? While I was thinking about this, there is a picture that God put in my heart and I would like to share with us this morning. [Displays picture] This is something I would like us to look at, so it’s daily privilege voucher day one of 365, January 1st 2026.
There is 365 days, God is giving everybody, every day He’s giving you one voucher, what are you going to do with that? In the purpose of God is not measured by year, it’s not measured by month, it’s not measured by weeks, it’s measured daily, so when God gives you a voucher for the day, God is expecting you to fulfill His purpose for that day.
So as you are thinking through this this morning, I want us to think about it, the years that I spent all my life, what have I done with them? The vouchers that God has given to me for 2025, what did I do with them? 2026 is almost ending now, the days I have spent in this year, the voucher that God has given to me, what have I done with them? I pray the Lord will help us in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
I want us to quickly look at biblical examples of men that failed the purpose of God for their creation. There are men in the Bible that God actually packaged something inside of them for their generation, but unfortunately they failed the purpose of God for their generation. Praise the Lord!
The first person I want us to look at is Samson, I believe we all know Samson in the Bible. Samson was a man that was born by prophecy, he’s a man that before he was born, God already had spoken about what he was going to become. The angel of God appeared to the mother and told the mother that this boy that you are going to give birth to is a Nazarite, he’s consecrated unto God and the purpose of God for his life is to deliver the Israelite from the Philistines.
Please, I want us to read Judges 13: 3-5, that’s for Samson, and the angel of the Lord appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold, now, thou art barren, and beareest not; but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son. 4Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing. 5For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come upon his head; for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of Philistines. That is the purpose of God for Samson, did he fulfill the purpose?
We are going to see something about him, Judges 14:1, we saw the purpose of God for his life was to deliver Israel from the Philistines, let’s see Judges 14:1, and Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistine, was that the purpose of God for his life? Judges 16:1, still about Samson, then went Samson to Gaza, he saw there an harlot, and went in unto her; Judges 16:4, the Bible says, and it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah. I believe we know the story, what did Delilah do to Samson? That was the woman that finished his life.
And Samson had something, the anointing of God upon his life was packaged in the hair on his head; he has seven locks of the anointing upon his head, and what did Delilah do? She put his head upon her lap, and she cut off the anointing and what happens?
The Philistines came again and the Bible says Samson woke up, he shook himself, he said I will go out as at other times and the Bible says he did not know that the Lord has departed from him. I pray that that will not be our story in the name of Jesus Christ, the presence of God that makes us a living soul will not depart from our lives in the mighty name of Jesus.
The second example is Reuben. Reuben also was a man that God has designed to become a great man, he was the firstborn of Jacob, he was destined to carry the covenant. Remember the covenant started from Abraham to Isaac to Jacob, so who was meant to carry the covenant is Reuben because he’s the firstborn, but what happened to Reuben?
Genesis 49:3-4, Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, the excellency of power; 4Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou it; he went up to my couch. That was Reuben, God has a great destiny for him but he was derailed because of sexual immorality.
Quickly, I want us to look at one more example, Judas Iscariot. Judas was also designed to be somebody that will carry the anointing, remember the 12 apostles, at a time the Bible talk about the 12 apostles that they became men that turn the world upside down, they were going everywhere doing great miracles, fulfilling the purpose of God for their lives, Judas was also part of them.
When they were taking communion, Judas was there; when Jesus was teaching them the beatitude, Judas was there, but what happened? John 12:4-6, then saith one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, which should betray him. 5Why was not the ointment sold for 300 pence, and given to the poor? 6This he said, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein, (and there’s a version that says he stole the money).
So God has a great destiny for him but because of greed and covetousness, his destiny was derailed. I pray for everyone that is seated here today, whatever it is that the enemy may be sending to our lives to derail us from the purpose of God, I pray that the Lord will remove them from our lives in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Everything that the devil is sending to derail us on the path of destiny, I pray in the name of Jesus that the Lord will take them off this morning in the mighty name of Jesus.
So we want to look at examples of men that had the purpose from God and they fulfilled the purpose of their creation. Quickly, I want us to look at Joseph, remember that Reuben lost it and you know the covenant was actually distributed among the sons, so remember Judah. Maybe today I will be talking about the lion of the tribe of Reuben, but what happened to Reuben? He was derailed, and today we are talking about lion of the tribe of Judah.
So this is Joseph, the purpose of God for Joseph was defined in Genesis 37: 9, the Bible says, and he dreamed yet another dream, and told it to his brethren, and said, behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon, and the eleven stars made obeisance unto me. Genesis 50:19 – 20, where the purpose was fulfilled, the Bible says, and Joseph said unto them, fear not; for am I in the place of God? 20But as for you, you thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. So that was the purpose of God for Joseph and we saw that eventually he fulfilled that purpose. Praise the Lord!
I want to quickly talk about Apostle Paul; he was also going in a direction, he was taking a journey that was taking him away from the purpose of God. God has designed him to be an apostle to take the gospel to the Gentiles, but he was busy running about, taking disciples, taking them bound onto Jerusalem.
Acts 9: 1-2, the Bible says, “And Saul, there breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, 2And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound onto Jerusalem.” So that was Apostle Paul, that was what he was doing but that was not the purpose of God for his life, he was taking a journey that was taking him out of the purpose of God but he had an encounter with God that redirected his attention to the purpose of God for his life. Praise the Lord!
So quickly I want to talk about how to discover the purpose of God, we have talked about the fact that everyone that is seated here this morning has something that God has put inside of you for this generation.
The first thing is remove every barrier to the source of your creation which is God. Isaiah 59: 1-2, the Bible says, behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear. 2But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
So that is the major thing that hinders men from fulfilling the purpose of God, and this morning, I pray that every barrier, every hindrance and obstacle will be removed in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Every sin, everything that the devil has packaged into anyone’s life that wants to prevent them from fulfilling their purpose, I pray the Lord will deal with them this morning in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
So, if there’s anyone here that you know that there’s something in my life that is preventing me from connecting to the source of my creation, when it’s time to respond to the altar call, I will encourage you to please come forward and reconnect to God. Praise the Lord.
The second thing to do to discover your purpose, search the manual of your creation. Every product has a manual that gives you direction on how to use that product, so the manual of your creation is the word of God. Luke 4: 16 – 18, that is Jesus, the Bible says, and he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
17And there was delivered unto him the book of the Prophet Esaias. And when he opened the book, he found the place where it was written (of him). So there is something in the Bible for you to find that will drive you in the purpose of God for your life. Praise the Lord!
The third thing to do to discover the purpose of God is prayers. 1 Chronicles 4:9-10, and Jabez was more honorable than his brethren; and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, because I bare him with sorrow. 10And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it might not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
So God has designed Jabez to be a prosperous man, but we saw that his destiny was warped, his destiny was upside down until when he called onto God and God rearranged his destiny. Praise the Lord.
The fourth thing to do to discover the purpose of God is sensitivity to the Holy Spirit as He nudges you in the direction of your purpose. 1 Corinthians 2:9, the Bible says, as it is written, eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him. 10But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
Remember we talked about the first creation is actually locked up within everyone that is seated there, but the Holy Spirit can search it out, there is nothing that is too deep that the Holy Spirit cannot reveal. Praise the Lord!
So quickly I want us to look at what happens when a man aligns with the purpose of God, what are the results that we see in the man’s life? The first thing is that the man operates under an open heaven.
One of the things that happens to a man when he’s not functioning in the purpose of God is that the person will begin to struggle, the person begins to feel frustration. I’m sure we have heard of people that are accomplished people but they actually committed suicide, they have everything that anyone could wish for but because there is something inside of them, they know that I’m not fulfilling the reason for my creation, they actually committed suicide.
We have heard of people that jumped into the lagoon because something is missing inside of them. So when a man aligns with the purpose of God, the heavens open over that person to fulfill the purpose of God for his life, Matthew 3: 16-17, we can read later.
But the second thing is that God is pleased with that person who aligns with His purpose.
The third thing is that there is accelerated progress. When the man aligns with the purpose of God, the progress of that person is accelerated, what you could have achieved in the past 10 years, the moment you come in alignment with the purpose of God, there is speed that God gives to that person. Praise the Lord.
And the last thing is that the man finds fulfillment in life and he receives reward in heaven, 2 Timothy 4: 7 – 8. Hallelujah!
So as I conclude and we are going to be praying in a short while, purpose is the only thing that gives meaning to life and makes you relevant to this generation and generation after. So the purpose of a man is giving meaning to that life, a man that is living not in the purpose of God, the life of that person is meaningless.
I also have a quote here in a book by Dr. Myles Munroe, it says in pursuit of purpose, the greatest tragedy in life is not death but life without a reason, it is dangerous to be alive and not know the reason you are given life; one of the most frustrating experience is to have time but not know why. God has given us vouchers every 365 days, it’s important to know daily what is the purpose of God. Praise the Lord!
As I conclude as well, I also want us to read from the book of Joshua 13: 7-24, because of time, we will not be able to read read that, but it’s an account of Joshua where he defeated 31 kings, God used him to defeat 31 kings. That’s if you read Joshua 13:7-24, and before that chapter, we heard of the time that Joshua was fighting a battle and the Bible says that the night was falling and Joshua commanded that the sun and the moon should stand still.
So God used him for so many exploits, he did so many things in the purpose of God for his life. But there is something that was missing, I want us to read Joshua 13: 1, now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the Lord said unto him, thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet. Joshua will be thought to be a man that actually fulfilled purpose, but this is a testimony of God.
So there could be someone here that you feel that look, I’m doing well, I think I’m fulfilling the purpose of God, I think I’m following the script that has been written about my life, but God is saying something different that there is yet more that God wants you to do.
There is a book that has been written for every one of us, and when we get to heaven God is going to be marking our script. As we are living our lives, we are all writing examination, and God has the marking scheme, so when we get to heaven, God is going to be marking the script, what I asked you to do, did you actually do it? Did you fulfill the entirety of all that I’ve designed for you to do? Praise the Lord.
Please, I want us to rise up on our feet this morning as we pray, and I want us to respond to God, I believe God has spoken to us and God expects a response from us. So if there’s anyone here that you know that there is something that is preventing you from connecting to the source of your creation which is God, this is an opportunity to reconnect back to God this morning because He’s the only One that can give you direction, He’s the only One that can give your life meaning.
[Altar call]
I want us to be in the mood of prayer this morning, I believe that God has spoken to us and I want us to pray. And please, I want us to pray with all our hearts, this is a very serious issue that God is bringing to us this morning as a church, and I believe that God is expecting us to reconnect to Him and to align with the purpose of God for our lives. Praise the Lord.
I want us to pray this first prayer to God. Saul was on a journey that was taking him away from the purpose of God, he thought he was fulfilling purpose but God as we interrupt him, God encountered him and redirected him to the original purpose of God for his life.
I want us to cry to God this morning, please with all of your hearts I want you to cry to God and say Father, every journey that is taking me far from Your purpose, let them be terminated this morning and redirect me to Your original purpose for my life in the mighty name of Jesus.
I want you to respond to God and cry to God, every journey that I’ve taken that is taking me away from Your plan, that is taking me away from Your purpose, in the mighty name of Jesus, Lord I respond to You this morning, Father, terminate every journey that is taking me out of Your plan, that is taking me out of Your purpose.
Every journey that I’ve embarked upon that is taking me out of Your intention for my life, this morning Lord, terminate that journey and put me on the path of destiny, put me on the path of purpose in the mighty name of Jesus. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
The Bible says about Jesus, it says, lo, I have come in the volume of books that was written of me to do thy will. I want us to pray to God, Father, open my eyes, I don’t want to get to the end of my journey and I feel that I’ve run in vain, I don’t want to get to my deathbed and feel that I’ve wasted my life.
I want you to cry to God this morning and say Father in the name of Jesus, open my eyes to see what has been written about my life in the mighty name of Jesus. Everything You have written in Your books, I don’t want my life to be wasted, I don’t want my destiny to be wasted, everything You have written in Your books oh God concerning my life, in the mighty name of Jesus, Father open my eyes in the mighty name of Jesus.
Everything You have written in the volume of books concerning me, open my eyes to see them in the mighty name of Jesus. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
Father we give You all the glory and honor this morning, we thank You for speaking expressly to us, thank You for talking to us in ways that we understand, we give You all the glory and honor, be exalted in the mighty name of Jesus.
Lord, I pray for everyone under the sound of my voice this morning, by Your grace, those that are here physically and those online that by the reason of this message, Lord, You will bring every one of us into perfect alignment with Your purpose for our lives in the mighty name of Jesus. Our life, our destiny will not be wasted in the mighty name of Jesus. Blessed be Your name, our Father, glory be to Your name Almighty God, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
