The Heavenly Ringtone

May 4, 2025

Praise the Lord! With the stanza three of that song, I want all of us to reflect, there you have a description of God in different forms, in different ways and everyone complimenting the other; it says, ‘our Father God, the infinite, the matchless King, magnificent, the living Christ, (our God is alive), the servant Son; (He wasn’t lording it over the people, He wasn’t terrorizing the people, He was not intimidating His disciples, He never used fear to coerce them), the prophesied.

Isaiah 6, long before He came He was prophesied, His name was given as the saving One, the Bible says there is no salvation in any other person except in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Brethren, let’s just wave our hands and bless the Almighty God this morning, let’s magnify His name, let’s worship Him, let’s adore Him; He’s the Almighty, our Father God, the infinite, the matchless King, magnificent; when you say something is magnificent, is remarkable – magnificently remarkable, magnificently gracious, the living Christ, the servant Son, the prophesied and the saving One; to You be glory, honor and majesty now and forever, in Jesus name we have prayed.

The gracious Father, the infinite God, matchless King, magnificent, the glorious One, the servant Son, the prophesied and the saving One; we bow before You this morning, the truth is that we cannot thank You enough, You have been so good to us, You have been so kind to us, You have been graciously magnificent, accept our thanks Father in the name of Jesus.

Today we can carry our legs, we can move our hands, we can shake our bodies, we can speak with our mouth, we can see with our eyes, we can hear with our ears, we can even dance before Your presence, it is Your doing Lord and because it can only be You, unto You we return all the glory today, accept our thanks in the name of Jesus.

Thank You for all that You have done; for the first month of this year we say thank You, for the second one we say thank You, for the third one we say thank You, for the last before this one we give You all the glory, and for this one Father, which is our month of [inaudible], we glorify Your name, accept our thanks Father in Jesus name.

We ask of You Lord that beginning from now, You will manifest Your abundant grace in our life in the mighty name of Jesus; let everything we shall do be done in Your grace, let mercy speak for us in the mighty name of Jesus; let Your grace be sufficient for us to be blessed in the mighty name of Jesus; wherever Your grace will not be, may we not be found there; let our going out be sealed in Your grace; let our coming in be sealed in Your grace; let everything we shall do this month and beyond Lord Almighty God be propelled by Your grace, and by Your grace Lord You will give us tangible results; thank You Father because You have answered.

Lord we have come to do one thing today and is to praise You, Lord please accept us and accept our worship, thank You because it is done.

We pray for all Your children who have been faithful in the payments of their tithes and in the giving of their offering, Lord we pray, in blessing You will bless them, You will multiply them, You will make them all a delightsome land in the name of Jesus. Lord Almighty God, for them and on their behalf, all the promises You have made concerning giving and tithing, let them find expression in their lives in Jesus; blessed be Your name forever, we pray at the end of this service Lord Almighty, let us have a cause to glorify Your name, in Jesus matchless name we have prayed.

If you are happy to be alive, shout a powerful hallelujah! If you are happy the same God that has brought you to today will see you through to the next month, shout a powerful hallelujah! The Bible says the just shall live by faith, and by faith I decree over every one of you that this month will be your best ever, but it doesn’t matter how solid, how magnificent this month is, the month of June will be far better and so shall it be in Jesus name.

So I welcome everyone of you to the house this morning in the name of God the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; I wish you a very happy and glorious month of abundant grace in Jesus name.

Let me seize this opportunity to say a very big thank you to every one of you for the celebrations last week Sunday and of course on Wednesday, you touched us in a very special way and at some point I became overwhelmed; I want to say that it’s not something we can take for granted and I want to say a big thank you to all of you, thank you for all the gifts, thank you for all the financial blessings, thank you for all the material blessings, and thank you for the warmth, the love, the best wishes and of course the prayers, my prayer is that God will multiply everything unto you and bless you much more in Jesus name. We are deeply appreciative of your gesture, the Lord bless you.

Tomorrow by the grace of God, we’ll be having a prayer chain and the theme for tomorrow is that “Don’t Remain Down”; you may be down but it is an offense for you to remain there and I can assure you, for as many of you that are down you will be lifted in the name of Jesus Christ. So I look forward to seeing every one of you tomorrow, time is 6:30, so come let’s pray and I trust God will hear and answer our prayers in the name of Jesus; the lead text is taken from Psalm 37: 23 & 24, the Lord bless you as you come in Jesus name.

Now Psalm 149, for the brief exaltation; as you are aware we’ll be taking our first course, then as we progress by the grace of God we will hook up to the national to be served the main meal by no other person than our esteemed father in the Lord, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, but before he comes we will in our little capacity serve you with the first course and the Lord will bless you and you will digest the food properly in your heart and in your body and He will cause the food to be a blessing to your soul in the name of Jesus.

Psalm 149, it says “Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of the saints. 2Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. 3Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. 4For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. 5Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds”. May the Lord bless the reading and the hearing of His words in the mighty name of Jesus.

This morning very quickly, I’ll be talking to us on the topic, “The Heavenly Ringtone”. The contemporary telephone space is a washed with all kinds of tones, some of these tones are developed either locally or internationally, and their uniqueness of course defer one from the other depending on the kind of reaction they elicit. Thank God we are in a church and everybody is expected to put his or her phone in silence mode, otherwise if some phones were to ring as you are seated, you will jump up and run because some ringtones can be so scary, some can be so loud and repulsive and some – in fact there was a time I was in the bank and the man standing beside me who came for a banking transaction’s phone rang everybody in the bank was scared, our hearts cut, not only that the ringtone was a funny ringtone but it was also in the highest volume ever and you wonder, in fact I told you how are you sleeping with this kind of ringtone, this thing can destroy your eardrum.

Ringtone, there are some that are pleasant, there are some like I said that can be very repulsive; however, as there are earthly tones, so also there is a heavenly tone; the tone that the angels love is a tone that delights and excites God, and it is the tone of praise; it’s a tone of upliftment, God is lifted when the tone is produced and always draws men unto Himself. It is a tone of appreciation, a tone of gratitude, that is appreciating God for who He is, for what He has done and of course for what He’s doing and for what He will yet do.

The Bible tells us that when we appreciate His work, God does more for us. In John 12: 32 for instance, it says, and I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me; the text we have just read, Psalm 149, there we are encouraged to praise God, we often aren’t sure the best way to go about it because when you tell people come and praise God, sometimes not too many people have the surest of idea of how to go about it, the surest of approach, but our text makes it very clear to us about how praise, that heavenly tone should be produced.

We are encouraged to do it in the dance, verse 3 says, let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with timbrel and harp. So here we are expressly encouraged to ring the tone in the dance, with a voice and with timbrel and harp.

Brethren, let it be on record that God enjoys His people and we should also enjoy praising Him. In Psalm 150, which incidentally the choir referred us to, their text before the ministration, it says praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 4Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs 6Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

Brethren, necessity is placed on us to praise the Lord, we’ve got no option about it, it is a compulsory affair. Music and songs were integral parts of Old Testament worship; David introduced music into the tabernacle and temple services and that you’ll find in the Book of 1st Chronicles 16: 4 – 7, the Bible tells us that 7then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the Lord into the hand of Asaph and his brethren; people like Zachariah, people like Jeiel, people like Shemiramoth, people like Jehiel, people like Mattithiah, people like Eliab and of course Benaiah and Obed-edom. Jeiel, the Bible says with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals. The music must have been loud and joyous, the release of instruments and presence of the choir and song leaders.

Music is also important in the New Testament worship because the Bible tells us in

Ephesians 5: 19 & 20, it says speaking to yourself in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We also find out in Colossian 3: 16, it says “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” let me hear somebody shout hallelujah!

[Music]

This was not how Asaph, did it this was not how Jeiel did it, Eliab did not sit down praising, he held his psalm; Shemiramoth, all of them did not sit down holding their phones, holding their bags and looking at me with one eyes while the other eyes was on the phone, they sang from the depths of their hearts and guess what, God received them and received their sacrifice of worship. Today as you bless God from the depths of your hearts, I trust God, He will accept you, He will accept your worship, and by the same token you will be blessed in Jesus name.

So how many of us are ready now to join the heavenly choir, to give God that heavenly ringtone? Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!

However as I round up, without the word of Christ dwelling in you, dwelling richly in you in wisdom, you cannot praise God with praise in your hearts to the Lord; therefore for your praise to be acceptable, you must cry to Him this morning to save your soul if you are not saved already, but if you have been saved this morning I want you to put your praise in second gear, pick your own choice song in worship of the Almighty God.

We were told that we should do it in the dance, do it with our voice, don’t look at anybody, don’t be shy, no man can do what God has done for you, in a way you are not responsible to any man in your journey of life, you are responsible to God, but if you are here and you have not given your life to Christ, pray to God that He will release His grace upon you today and He will show you mercy, in Jesus mighty name we have worshiped.

If you have not given your life to Christ all you need to do this morning is to pray to God, Father have mercy on me; cause me an encounter with Your grace this morning, don’t let me go back home the same way I came, touch me today, manifest Your grace in my life and Father, wipe away every sin and every trace of sin in my life from today, in Jesus name we have prayed.

All eyes closed all heads bowed, if you have prayed that prayer of mercy…

[Altar call]

Our Father and our God we want to thank You because You are a gracious God, Your steadfastness endureth forever, Your mercy is always in operation, and thank You because Your grace is ceaseless; thank You for all that You have done for us, thank You for giving us a shoulder for us to lean on, thank You because whenever we call upon You in prayers You always hear and answer us, accept our thanks Father in Jesus name.

Lord Almighty, we pray that the heavenly ringtone of praise will not cease in our mouth in Jesus name, and whenever we call upon You oh Lord Almighty God, by saying, You will hear answer us in Jesus name. For Your children that have heard Your word this morning and have voluntarily, on their own, yielded themselves unto You, Lord please receive them unto Yourself in Jesus name; write their names in the Book of life in Jesus name; let mercy triumph in their situations in Jesus name.

And Lord Almighty God, we pray that from today You will open onto them the door of refreshing, the door of blessing, the door of glory and the door of abundant grace, let it be so forever in Jesus name. As we continue in this service Lord, please let Your spirit come along with us in Jesus name; glorify Your name and bless everyone here and bless everyone listening to us online in the name of Jesus, and at the end of everything today let every one of us have reasons to bless You for You’ve heard, in Jesus wonderful name we have prayed. Praise the Lord!
