We will take a prayer point around this special ministration from the choir as we did in the first service. In the first service I gave an illustration; many of us have found ourselves in situations where we are trying to locate a place and then we ask people we find around us and say ‘please can you direct me to (let’s say) Christ Avenue’? You are here and the person says, you see, if you go to that Lebanon, just turn there and go out, any gate you find there, just continue to drive, you will see Christ Avenue.
Somebody goes that way; and then you will ask another one and say just go down the road to your right, second turning on the right, you will see Christ Avenue. One will find Christ Avenue, the other one will go further away from where they are; what makes the difference? One knows the way, the other one does not know the way but he pretends to know the way.
Brethren, we serve a God who knows the way; not only does He know the way, He is the Way, and because He is the Way, He can order our steps aright. So we are going to pray to the Lord almighty and say Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, please order my steps in this year 2023; You are the Way; You know the way; You are the Alpha and the Omega, order my steps oh Lord; Father please order my steps in the mighty name of Jesus; order my steps; God of heaven, order my steps; order my steps this year in the name of Jesus. No wasted efforts in the name of Jesus; no fruitless labour in the name of Jesus; I will not be in a place where You are not; I will be at the right place at the right time doing the right thing, order my steps oh Lord. This year 2023, Father please order my steps, thank You Father, in Jesus mighty name we prayed.
We’ll take some prayer points from our 50 days fasting and prayer, today is day 5 and if you have not joined us, please we encourage ourselves to join our fasting and prayer program, we started on January 11, Wednesday, for 50 days, you will hear more details from the announcement, let’s just continue with our prayers.
Today, our prayer focus is around prophecies for individuals and general prophecies and the Bible text is taken from Luke 1:45. So we are going to pray, that we are standing here this morning brethren is a testimony because we are living beings, so if nothing else was achieved in 2022, you have your life; let us thank God for the gift of life; let us thank Him for every other thing that He did for us in the year 2022. For some of us, many things too numerous to mention, let’s thank the Lord almighty for all that He has done.
For some of us, maybe is just a few, let’s thank God for the few. For some of us, maybe is just one – the life that you have, it is priceless, let us thank God. Father we thank You for all that You did for us in the year 2022, glory be to Your name forevermore, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed. In Jesus mighty name we have given thanks.
The Bible tells us that – Isaiah 55:10 & 11; ‘your ways are not My ways, either your thoughts are My thoughts‘, so sometimes God says go this way, but you think this is shorter and then you go this way, what is that? Disobedience, and at the end of the day, you don’t get to see the promise of God. This year, we will not live in disobedience in the name of Jesus.
So let us pray and say Father, forgive me for every act of disobedience towards You in the name of Jesus, and for lack of trust in You; forgive me for every act of disobedience towards You; forgive me for lack of trust in You in the name of Jesus. Please forgive me Lord; Father please forgive me, for every act of disobedience and for lack of trust in You in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank You heavenly Father, in Jesus mighty name we prayed.
In Exodus 14:13, the Bible says, ‘the Egyptians that you see today, you will see them forever no more’. Egyptians are obstacles; Egyptians are troubles, they are challenges; Egyptian is a prison; Egyptians are sicknesses, it depends on what Egyptians represent to you, but we will not see them anymore in the mighty name of Jesus.
So we will pray and say Father, every Egyptian that I see today, Father by Your mercy, don’t let me see them anymore, never ever again in the name of Jesus. Banish every Egyptian from my life; banish all the Egyptians in my life oh Lord; don’t let me ever see them again in the mighty name of Jesus. I will never see them again in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank You Father, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
There were many things that happened to us or that are still happening to us that bring shame. But the Lord says He’s going to turn those things around. Isaiah 61:7, it says ‘For your shame, I will give you double’; now you wonder why not just one to cancel the shame? He will give you one first to cancel the shame and then top it up with an extra, how many people want that?
We are going to cry to the Lord and say Father, for my shame, everything that gives me shame, Father please give me double; double glory; double mercy; double assistance; double support; double of everything; double miracle; double of your anointing; for everything oh Lord that brought shame upon my life or Father, that is bringing shame upon my life, turn it around oh Lord and give me double; turn it around oh Lord and give me double in the name of Jesus; turn it around oh Lord and give me double in the mighty name of Jesus; Father turn it around and give me double, Lord, in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank You heavenly Father, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
Some of us lost a lot of things – opportunities, privileges, money, position, whatever, but God is a restorer and He will restore this morning in the name of Jesus. Because in the book of Joel 2:25, it says “I will restore the years that the caterpillar, the cankerworm, the palmerworm have taken away from you, my army that I sent to you”.
We are going to pray and say Father, everything that I have lost; every opportunity, every privilege, every promotion, every finance, every funding, every good thing that I have lost, Father please restore unto me; Lord please restore it unto me in the mighty name of Jesus; restore unto me every good thing that I have lost in the mighty name of Jesus. Every good thing that I have lost, Father please restore it unto me in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank You my God and my Father, in Jesus wonderful name we prayed.
If there is anything that I want you to go away with from today’s service, it is that 2023 is your year of miracles; is your year of breakthrough in the mighty name of Jesus. So we are going to pray and say Father in the name of Jesus, this year 2023, perform miracles, many miracles – multiple miracles in my life; make my life a miracle in the mighty name of Jesus. In this 2023, Father turn things around for me; make my life a miracle in the mighty name of Jesus; make my life a miracle oh Lord, in the name of Jesus. Thank You Father, glory, honor, adoration, Lord we give you, in Jesus mighty name we prayed.
Praise the Lord! Our Father in heaven, we want to say thank You; authority in heaven, the Maker of the heaven and the earth, way Maker, Alpha and the Omega, the One who alone knows the way, we thank You; we have come this morning because we knew that You will be here and thank You because You are here. Father Lord, God of heaven, as we have come with our faces radiant and as we look unto you, please don’t let us be put to shame in the name of Jesus. Father we have come so that You will show us the way, please lead us through this year and according to Your word; as we will be going into Your word, Father speak to us, give us understanding, open our ears, open our hearts, open our eyes Father, that we will receive Your glory in the name of Jesus. Like never before, make this year the best ever for us, in Jesus mighty name we prayed.
Praise the living Jesus!! So once again, particularly for those I have not seen this year, I say happy new year greeting to you, God bless you in Jesus name, and for all of us, I welcome you to this sanctuary in the name of Jesus . I would like to appreciate our father in the Lord for the privilege that I have to stand here this morning to minister, I pray that the grace of God will continually increase upon his life and his ministry in Jesus name.
Tomorrow by the grace of God, we will be having a prayer chain session with theme ‘When Favour Speaks’; Esther 2:15-17. Brethren, this year is still very new as we know, is just 14 days gone, today is the 15th day, so we can still call it a brand new year. Many of us are still trying to navigate and find out what do I do, what do I not do? When and all that. Some of us are just even waking up to the fact that is a new year, by the grace of God, we had a good start; last week, our father in the Lord gave us a message that ‘laying the foundation’ for starting the year. If you were not here last week or you didn’t listen intently to that message, please go back to our YouTube channel and just listen, and the theme was ‘Laying a Solid Foundation’.
So what I’m about to do has been made simple by that ministration, all I want to do this morning by the grace of God is just build upon that foundation that has been laid, and my prayer is that we will hold it and run with it in the name of Jesus. As we seek to build on that foundation, we will consider a message which I titled “Taking or Conquering the Land”; taking the land or conquering the land, and for some people if we want to be a bit techy, we want to say “Unlocking your Potentials”. Praise the living Jesus!
The choir sang about ‘I’ve reached the land of corn and wine’, how many of us know that Nigeria, in spite what we see, is a land that is flowing with milk and honey? You will take your portion of Nigeria this year in the mighty name of Jesus. Let’s take our Bible passages, we have two texts, so we’ll be fast about it; Numbers 13:17- 33 and Judges 7: 7-25.
Numbers 13; 17- 20, “And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain: And see the land, what it is, and the people that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many; And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds; And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes.
Verses 26-33; “And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land. And they told him, and said, we came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it. Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there. The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. But the men that went up with him said, we be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight”.
The second passage, Judges 7:7-9; “And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place.
So the people took victuals in their hand, and their trumpets: and he sent all the rest of Israel every man unto his tent, and retained those three hundred men: and the host of Midian was beneath him in the valley.
And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Arise, get thee down unto the host; for I have delivered it into thine hand”.
Praise God! I will skip and go to verses 16-22; “And he divided the three hundred men into three companies, and he put a trumpet in every man’s hand, with empty pitchers, and lamps within the pitchers.
And he said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall ye do.
When I blow with a trumpet, I and all that are with me, then blow ye the trumpets also on every side of all the camp, and say, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon.
So Gideon, and the hundred men that were with him, came unto the outside of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch; and they had but newly set the watch: and they blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers that were in their hands.
And the three companies blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal: and they cried, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon.
And they stood every man in his place round about the camp; and all the host ran, and cried, and fled.
And the three hundred blew the trumpets, and the LORD set every man’s sword against his fellow, even throughout all the host: and the host fled to Bethshittah in Zererath, and to the border of Abelmeholah, unto Tabbath”.
Praise the living Jesus! We have read from two passages that many of us are very familiar with but I will just try for the benefit of those who may not be familiar with those passages, I will try to quickly summarize it in the context of the time that I have.
So the first story is about the twelve spies that Moses sent to spy the land that God had promised them. God had given them a promise that I will give unto you this land at a certain time, so when the time was getting by, he said okay, let’s even have a peep into this land, let’s see what it is; go and check what they have, what their fruits look like, who are the people there and so on. The people went; he got twelve people, each person representing each tribe of Israel – one for the twelve tribes, making twelve people in all.
Twelve people went with one common objective, with one instruction, but by the time they visited the land, saw everything and wrote their reports, they broke into two camps; one camp has ten people, the other camp has two people. The camp of ten people said yes, we are the majority, we’ve seen it all; good land, giants live there, fruitful land but guess what? It’s a mission impossible; don’t bother, just leave it, let’s continue where we are; God didn’t know what He was saying.
Then the second group of people came and said; it’s true they are giants but we have a bigger giant in God, and because God has said it, we’ll be able to take over that land, let’s go once and possess it even ahead of time. And we know what happened; eventually, it wasn’t the majority that carries the vote as it is always with God. Once you are with God, that is the majority, so the two testified and God sealed it and they took over that land.
The second passage was talking about a land also to be captured, in this case, it was the Midianites who had laid siege around the people of Israel over many years they’ve troubled them. So a time came, God said I’ve given them to you; I’ve delivered them to you, go and take them over. So Gideon called 32,000 people, he said I wish I could get more, I need like a hundred thousand people, but God said I don’t even need your 32,000. Through a process of pruning, God brought them down to 300; He said go with these 300. Again, God doesn’t work with majority, but before he went, he did certain things which we’ll see in the cause of the message, and then, eventually the Midianites ran away, just like the Egyptians that you see today, you will not see them again in the mighty na,me of Jesus.
Now in both cases, the land was taken; the people, their vision was to take the land. Brethren, year 2023 is the land and a great expanse of land that is ahead of us, are you going to take your land? By the grace of God, this year you will take your land in the mighty name of Jesus; this year, the potentials God has deposited in you to flourish will blossom in the mighty name of Jesus.
Very quickly, I would like us (using those two passages) to go through certain keys that we need to take the land over. So we’ll start with the first one; the first key is, Be positive. Tell your neighbor, be positive; things may not be looking great now, 2022 may not have been a great year, you might have suffered losses and you don’t know how you will recover from those losses; somebody might even have told you that 2023 is going to get worse, but it does not matter what they say. But because God has said this is our year of hope and great expectations, all that I need to do is key into the word and be positive. So this year brethren, please be positive.
I shared in the morning; by the time we closed the year 2021, the exchange rate of naira to dollar was about 560; so coming into 2022, we started with 560 but it ended with around 740/750, and some people have projected further and said this year, guess what? We are aiming for 1000, God forbid. But there are prognoses that things will get worse and some people will say if we suffered so much when it became 750, imagine what the suffering will be at 1000. You will not suffer in the mighty name of Jesus, but please be positive; don’t despair, just be positive.\
The Bible tells us in Proverbs 23:7, it says “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…”; it is what you have in your mind that determines what you get eventually. Many years ago I attended a conference that was anchored by the late Dr. Myles Munroe, and one of the things he shared; he said in a jungle there are many animals, different animals of different sizes and shapes, but there is one animal that always maintain the positive attitude, and that’s the lion.
When the lion sees any animal, be it a goat or a bull or an elephant; the first thing the lion thinks is that I can take this one down, this is my lunch. It never gets intimidated by the size or the speed of that animal, it goes after and eventually it gets it. So it does not matter what the elephants are along the line in the year 2023, please just be positive that this is my year, this is my land and I’m going to take it over in the mighty name of Jesus.
I also shared a story that many of us will know already; two salesmen were sent out of their company to go and see how they can expand the sales for the company; so they went into a new territory, when they got there, they found people going about their normal lives but they were not wearing shoes, none, they didn’t even know what was called shoes. So they went through the length and breadth of the land and came back; one of them said to the management and said don’t bother, you can’t make sales in that place because they were not wearing shoes, they can’t afford it.
But the other one said, it might be that nobody had ever offered them shoes or told them the benefits of shoes, let us take shoes to them and see. So the company heeded and shipped consignment of shoes, in no time, boom! They took it all, it was over. Now, what would have happened to the two salesmen? One will be promoted to the company director; the other one will be demoted. What makes the difference? Attitude.
In this year 2023, please be positive. No mountain will be too difficult to climb over; no elephant will stand in your way, because God had already told us that He’s delivered the land to us. Please be positive.
The second key, brethren, is, you must have a vision that you are running with. In my own way, I said that a vision is a virtual picture of where you want to be at a certain time, or the things you want to do at a future date, what you would like to achieve. For example, many people who started this year by saying ‘this is my year of (too many things)’, I want to do this, I want to do that – vision. By December, I want this, is a vision.
Vision helps us to create zeal, energy, the positivity that we need to run through the day, the week, the month, they year, even in the face of difficulties. Once you have a vision, it keeps driving you from within. Normally one person sees a vision, but if the vision is big enough, many people run with that vision.
I gave the example of Coca-cola, that company that produces coke; a vision of one man or maybe I should use KFC this time around; there was one man that said he wants to just make chicken in a different way; one man’s vision, but today there is KFC all over the world. One man had the vision but the vision became so big that many people are driving that vision.
So that takes me to another concept that when you have a vision, oftentimes you need vision-enablers. As you have your visions, please look for vision-enablers carefully. There are vision-destroyers, you don’t need them, what you need are vision-enablers.
Let’s look at Genesis 12:1-3; God called Abram and gave him a great vision that only Him could comprehend, it took Abram years. If you look at verse 4, it says, ‘and Abram, after God had told him now decided to go’, it meant that Abram couldn’t take it for some time; it took time because it was a great vision. Eventually he bought into it and moved on. When he was leaving, I imagined his father saying where are you going, Mr. Man? And he says I’m going somewhere, where is this place that doesn’t have a name? I just know I’m going somewhere, when I get there I will stop. So he had a vision when he left home, then he left with two supposed vision-enablers – one was his wife, the other was his nephew, Lot. But Lot turned out to be a vision-destroyer, but for God, he would have lost his vision.
Every vision-destroyer that will go with you this year, God will disembark them in the mighty name of Jesus; they will not go with you in the name of Jesus.
Then another thing with vision is that this vision can be delayed. Because is so big and the time frame you really don’t know; Abram didn’t know where he was going to, he just knew he was going somewhere, but there can be a delay. What seems like delay to you, to God, is right timing in His program. So when there is any delay, please don’t get discouraged and don’t become disillusioned.
The Bible tells us in Habakkuk 3:3 that the vision is for an appointed time, though it may tarry, but it will surely come. It may tarry, it will surely come. Again using Abraham in Genesis 15; he became disillusioned, God You have promised me this, when is it going to be? And God said come out; God took him out, Genesis 15: 5&6, He took him out and said look ahead, can you count the stars? Just count, how many stars? I imagined he started counting 1,000, 10,000, 1,000,000, 10,000,000 and after sometimes he said ‘I give up’.
God said as far as you can see, as many as you can count, that I will give unto you. God gave him a reassurance; anytime you become disillusioned, look up to God, He will reassure you because is His vision in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Proverbs 29:18, “Where there is no vision, the people perish”. Now brethren, let’s speak to ourselves; many people (as today is 15), they don’t even know what to do this year yet. You need to have a vision, you can’t run through this year without a vision, otherwise, you will waste your life. Please go before the Lord Almighty, let Him open your eyes, what are you looking at this year? And the Lord will reveal it to you in the mighty name of Jesus.
Because anyone that doesn’t have a vision is like a man that gets to the bus stop, buses are coming, he looks at them and said this one looks good, let me just enter and conductor says we have gotten to this bus stop, where are you going? He said I don’t even know, just keep carrying me around. He has nowhere he’s going, you will not walk aimlessly this year in the mighty name of Jesus, because you are going somewhere.
And on the last point on vision, every vision should be written down. Habakkuk 3:2 says, write it down on a tablet, and make it plain so that every time you read it, it can inspire you and it can run with it. Write down your vision, write it somewhere, and keep it.
Growing up, my father used to tell me the dullest pen is more reliable than the best brain. I would explain it; even the pen that is struggling to write, if you can eventually write something down on paper and keep it, anytime you go to it, you will see it; but if it is in your head, one day you will forget. Write down your vision; look at it every time and run with it and you will see that this year will be much more glorious than ever in Jesus name.
The third point; vision is usually so huge that you cannot achieve it just in one day and in one step. So you need to break it down into simpler forms, into things that you can relate with day after day, week after week or month after month.
Our next point says; you need good strategy or planning and execution of your plan. You need a good strategy, planning and execution of your plan. A vision is usually so big that you need to break it down, and what is a strategy? It is a set of plans that you put in place with intentions to achieve your vision.
Judges 7, now let’s go back to that passage; Judges 7:16-18; Gideon had a vision, God says I’ve delivered the Midianites to you, that was everything he needed to achieve. He had gotten vision-enablers but God told him, over 30,000 of these (supposed) enablers are destroyers, let them go back home. So he left him with 300 enablers.
Now, they are standing, what to do? But Gideon broke the task into simpler forms. First, he said he divided the 300 men into three equal companies of 100 each. Next, he gave each person a trumpet and empty pitcher and put lamps within the trumpets. The next one, he said to them, just look at me, whatever I do, do it. the finally he said to them, blow the trumpet, and after you blow the trumpet, just shout or cry and say the sword of the Lord and of Gideon. And somebody would have asked him what next, he said, let’s leave the rest for God, let’s do what is humanly possible. So he broke it down.
When you have a vision, to be able to run with it, break it down into actionable steps. And is not enough to just break it down, if you do nothing with the vision or your plans, is at best a plan, so you need to execute it.
Still this same passage, Judges 7: 19 – 22; so now what did they do? So Gideon had one of the companies of hundred with him, and he came outside and he blew the trumpets, and broke the pitchers. And as soon as they saw it, what did they do? He had instructed them, look on me, and do as I do; so they also did the same thing, and as soon as they did that, what was next? He had told them, cry. The Bible says the next thing, they cried; the sword of the Lord and of Gideon, and after that, what did he ask them to do? Wait and see what God will do.
Let’s see what God did in verses 21 & 22: and then every man in the camp of the Midianites began to run, nobody was chasing them, they just heard the cry and as they were running, in verse 22, they were killing one another until there was no Midianite again around the host, around the land of the Israelites. Vision, mission accomplished.
So there was a vision, there was a strategy and there was execution. Brethren, when you write it down, work with it, actionable steps, and you will achieve what you need to achieve in the name of Jesus.
Number 4: Diligence. Diligence is a constant and earnest effort to accomplish that task that you have proposed to do. Diligence is hard work. Not just hard work, smart work quality work. Work smartly, work well, deliver high quality products, be excellent.
The Bible tells us in Proverbs 22:29; “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men”. Seest thou a man diligent in his business, what would he do? He will be so promoted that his friends will be kings; he will not be left among average people. Halleluyah!
Proverbs 6:6-11, the Bible tells us, it says let us look at the ant, without anybody guiding them, they do their work, they gather, they know when to store. In the summer, they work hard, double, and store enough for the winter when they cannot work. So that tells me a few things about the ants; you will never see an ant that is poor; you will never see an ant that is begging for food. Praise the Lord!
And the Bible tells us in that verse 16, it says, the sluggard, that is a lazy person who will not be diligent this year, poverty will come upon that person like a bandit. Who wants to be poor here? Nobody. Let us be diligent, praise God!
And in being diligent, there are a few things; self discipline; just keep at your work, do what you have signed to do, do it well. Praise the Lord!
Another one attached to diligence is, work truthfully. Don’t deceive anybody; don’t scam somebody to make it. Nobody ever scams – have you seen the name of the top 10 billionaires in the world a scammer? There is no yahoo plus that can take you to top 10 billionaires in the world. Do your work well, don’t deceive, don’t scam. Halleluyah!
And there is no eye service, Colossians 3:22-25 says, we should work, not as men pleasers. Let us work as people who are working for God and see if God will not reward you.
Also play to your strength. There are about 7 billion people on the surface of the world, may I tell you something? There are no two people like you. There is only one you, don’t copy somebody else. The script that you have to answer is different from the script of your neighbor, if you look at his own answer, he will get it right while you will get it wrong because you are not answering the same question. The questions to your life is unique to you, run with it brethren.
Number 5 and final; stay connected to God. Having done all of these four things, they are good, and the best they will give you a temporary or sub-optimum achievement, but the moment you bring God into it, all of these, just pull it together and give it to God, there’s no limit. This is our year of unlimited possibilities.
Psalm 100:3 says that we are God’s people; we are the sheep of His pasture. Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that God has a distinct plan for each and every one of us; and Jeremiah 1:4 & 5, the Bible tells us that even before we were formed, He knew us. So when you are cutting that vision, He already knew about it. Because He is God, so you cannot run the vision without Him. Praise the living Jesus!
And how do we get connected with Him? In no particular order; Praise Him like never before; make sacrifice for Him; sacrificial offering, sacrificial worship, sacrifice your time, sacrifice your professional skills for Him; obedience; faith. Hebrews 11:6, “Without faith it is impossible to please God”. You must be saved; you must be sanctified; John 17:17, “Sanctify them by their truth, thy word is truth”. Reverence God; Psalms 128:4-6, and make the word of God your guide.
Remember that song the choir sang, ‘He will order my steps’, how? By Thy word. Psalms 119:11, “Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.” Brethren, it does not matter what the analysts will call it this year, particularly as it is the election year, all sorts of permutations have gone around, please stay positive.
And if you don’t have one yet, today, don’t sleep until you have a vision for your life. At the minimum, start with the vision for this year; set a vision for yourself, if you don’t know how to do it, cry to God; please give me a vision of my life, let me see myself as you see me Lord. Everybody needs a vision to be successful, even those who are already successful, nobody wants to be tagged a successful man of yesterday, they want to continue to be successful, so they need vision to remain that way or to even get better.
Get vision enablers, not vision destroyers. Map out your strategies or plan to work out your vision; work at it diligently; be yourself, don’t copy another person’s note, and most importantly, cling to God; connect yourself to Him, don’t let anybody take you off from God.
Lamentations 3:37 says, ‘is there any man that will have a vision and will be able to achieve it outside of Me?’ it doesn’t work that way. Anything we say here and we do here, do not put Him in the notion ‘You are talking trash’, but because we are putting Him in the equation, it will be established.
John 15:4-7 say, “Abide in Me, and I abide in you”; it says let’s work together because you cannot bear any fruit without Me. Verse 5b says, “For without Me, you can do nothing”, but in verse 7, it says, “If you have Me, anything you ask for, I will do it for you”.
So, there are people here, you are not connected to Him in any way, and you want a different narration for your life this year and going forward, your best bet brethren, is to get connected to the source of life, the source of all visions, and there can’t be a better time to do it and the best way to do that is to first come and surrender your life to Him; submit to Him in its entirety and you will see what He will turn your life around to become.
Before we go into praying, we would like to offer opportunities to people as many as you want to connect to Him so that they can run their lives successfully and achieve this vision. You are here this morning, you want to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour; you know that you are not connected to Him, you know, please raise your hands or just come forward.
You are here this morning, you want to accept Him as Lord and Saviour, you want a turnaround in your life; you are here this morning but you know that you used to be connected but you are no longer in that connection; you want to be grafted back, please come and accept Him as your Lord and Saviour.
We are going to say Father, this year, please help me to stay positive; it does not matter what happens, help me oh Lord to stay positive this year, in the mighty name of Jesus. Help me to remain positive, to have a positive attitude towards everything that comes my way this year. Brethren let us pray that God will give us a positive attitude towards everything that comes our way this year in the mighty name of Jesus; help me oh Lord to remain positive this year in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank You Father, in Jesus wonderful name we prayed.
Vision is about opening your eyes to see yourself as God sees you and you can then run with it. so we are going to pray and say Father, please open my eyes, let me see myself the way You see me in the mighty name of Jesus. Please open my eyes, let me see myself the way You see me Lord; open my eyes oh Lord, let me see myself the way You see me oh Lord, in the mighty name of Jesus.
Father, please open my eyes, let me see myself the way You see me in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank You heavenly Father, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
We are going to pray and say Father, please send vision – enablers to me, and take away every destroyer of vision away from me; take away from me every destroyer of my vision; send vision – enablers into my life; Father please, send vision – enablers into my life; take away destroyers of vision in the mighty name of Jesus. Send me vision – enablers oh Lord, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
In Psalms 144:1, the Bible says God is able to teach our hands to war and our fingers to fight; what that is talking about is execution, how you run your strategy and work with it. You are going to pray and say Father, please teach my hands to war, and my fingers to fight in the mighty name of Jesus. Teach my hands to war, and my fingers to fight in the mighty name of Jesus. Father please, teach my hands to war, and my fingers to fight in the mighty name of Jesus. Teach me oh Lord; teach my hands to war, and my fingers to fight in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank You heavenly Father, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
Proverbs 12:24, the Bible says “The hands of the diligent bear rule”; when you are diligent, you will be on top; when you are diligent, you will be the king; the slothful will be servants and pay tribute to you, how many of us want to be on top?
You will pray and say Father, let my hands bear rule this year, and I will never be under tribute to anybody in the mighty name of Jesus. Let my hands bear rule oh Lord this year; don’t let me be under any form of tribute, in the name of Jesus. From now and henceforth, let my hands bear rule, Lord, in the name of Jesus. Thank You my Father, in Jesus mighty name we prayed.
Romans 8:35-39 speak to our connection with God; it says is there anything that can separate me from the love of Christ? And Apostle Paul answers that question and said nay, nothing shall separate me from the love of Christ. You are going to cry fervently brethren, please, don’t let anything be good enough to separate me from You; Father, let me remain connected to You all through this year and in my life; don’t let anything be good enough, be strong enough to separate me from You.
Let me remain grafted into You; let me remain connected to You, Lord; don’t let anything be good enough to separate me from You, in the mighty name of Jesus. Don’t let anything be good enough to separate me from You in the name of Jesus; help me to do Your will always; help me to please You always; help me to dwell in Your presence always in the name of Jesus. Thank You Father, in Jesus mighty name we prayed.
Please take one minute and talk to God about your life; this is a brand new year, there is a land ahead of you to take, to capture, to conquer; the desire of the Lord is that you conquer your land, He has already given you the land; talk to the Lord almighty, ask God to help you, and God is faithful concerning His promises; as He said it. shall He not do it, thank You Lord.
