Swimming Against the Tide

March 17, 2024

Hallelujah! Our God and our Father, we say thank You; we thank You Lord for Your faithfulness, we thank You Lord for Your mercy, we thank You for Your grace upon our lives. Father we come here to say thank You because You have healed us in the past and You are going to heal again; You have helped us in the past, You are going to help again; You have given us victories in the past, oh Lord and You are going to do it again and again.

Father, even in these current times as we swim against the tide, Father Lord Almighty we shall overcome in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord as we go into Your word, we ask oh Lord that You speak to us expressly, glorify Your name in us and through us in the mighty name of Jesus.

And Father at the end of it all, in our lives there shall be a new beginning, there shall be divine turnaround and manifestation of Your glory, in Jesus wonderful name we prayed. Praise the Lord! Praise the living Jesus!

We welcome everyone to the presence of the Most High God. I’d like to also use this opportunity to appreciate the PICP, daddy thank you for this privilege to be the one ministering this morning, the Lord will continue to enable you in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen, praise the Lord!

Brethren, you are welcome to church this morning; today, by the grace of God is the grand finale, the rounding up of our evangelism weekend in the mission, praise the living Jesus. The evangelism mission covers the following departments and so that those who are involved will know: the missions, the counseling, CRFI, and evangelism itself, so we’ll be celebrating these people shortly when it comes to the time for thanksgiving.

The theme for this year’s evangelism weekend is Repositioned for Evangelism and our text is taken from Acts 8: 5 – 8. We started on Thursday and then it ran through – yesterday, we had the neighborhood evangelism as part of this weekend and then we are rounding up today with this. You’ll recall that at the close of last year, the theme for the congress was Divine Repositioning; so one of the reasons why God has chosen to reposition us to the next level whether physically or spiritually is for evangelism.

You’ll look at the hymn that we sang this morning, it says ‘Hark the voice of Jesus calling, who will go out and work for Me today; the harvest is ripe’, praise the Lord! So we have been repositioned to go and win souls; so very briefly, I’ll go through the message for the weekend then we’ll go into our word for today thereafter.

Every soul was created in the image and likeness of God, Genesis 1: 26, and therefore every soul is important to God, no soul is better than the other – the soul of a poor man, the soul of a black man, the soul of a rich man, the soul of the president, every soul means the same, has equal value before God; the text says we were created in His image and in His likeness, praise the Lord!

Therefore, a soul is far worth more than anything in this world, Mark 8: 36, what does it profits a man if he wins the whole world and loses his soul? What’s the value to the whole world? You can imagine if I say to somebody, I give you 1 billion naira for your soul, some people will jump at it, meanwhile the Bible is telling us that the world, which is even worth more than the 1 trillion dollars is nothing compared to a soul, hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

Therefore, that is why God does not want any soul to perish, 2nd Peter 3: 9; God doesn’t want any soul to perish, so He beholds on us a duty, every one of us, we have been saved to save others; God doesn’t want any soul to perish, and by the grace of God, no soul around you will perish in the mighty name of Jesus; no soul around me will perish in the mighty name of Jesus.

So our main responsibility as a child of God is to go and win those souls. 2nd Corinthians 5: 19, the Bible says God has given us – you, me, us, all, the ministry of reconciliation; it’s not reconciliation of bank statement o, reconciliation of sinners unto God, praise the Lord!

The early church, you know we read the Acts of Apostles, we saw how Christianity started right in the Book of Acts 1 & 2, we see the growth of the church, the early church, the disciples of the early church were fervent about soul winning and you see how they approached it in one day.

According to Acts 2: 41, Peter ministered and 3,000 souls were saved; then at another time in Acts 4, again at a ministration, 5,000 souls were saved and that did not stop them, they continued to look for souls, they continued to reach out even at the expense of their lives.

At a point in time they said to Paul, who is the owner of this girdle? He said I’m the one; the prophet said oh, the owner of this girdle, this and this will happen to the person, he should not go. Paul said I’m ready to give my life and give all for the sake of the gospel, I will go. He knew what was going to happen to him, he decided that he will still go – fervent for souls, praise the living Jesus.

Persecution could not stop them, therefore, what are we doing at our time? Necessity is placed on us to win souls and these are some of the reasons why we must win souls: God loves the world, let’s go out there and say to them – yesterday we went on evangelism, mummy Akinwara and I were in a team, and as many people as we told God loves you, we could see the cheer on their faces.

A lot of people are going through a lot of challenges today. John 3: 16 tells us for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son; just tell somebody God loves you, they would want to hear you, God loves the world.

Number two is that wickedness is on the increase. Isaiah 60: 2, the Bible tells us that darkness covers the earth and gross darkness the people and it continues, wickedness everywhere. We don’t even want to go into details the level of wickedness at this time, and of course, the soul that sinnneth should die, so wickedness will end in hell.

Remember where we started from: we must be interested in souls, you don’t want any soul to go to hell, so we must go out.

Then another reason why we must go out and win the souls is according to Hebrews 9: 27, it is appointed unto man once to die, and after that is judgment.

There is no repentance in hell, there is no repentance after the last breath, the only place for repentance is here and is now, praise the Lord! And every sinner, everyone who fails to repent, everyone who dies as a sinner will have their place in hell, a place of pain, praise the living Jesus!

Remember that story of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 15; so Jesus came to seek the lost, would you, would I want the reason why Jesus came here to be in vain? He has shown us the way, He has empowered us, He has created a pathway for us, let us go, let us go and win the souls.

Another reason is that time is short; some people will take time as if they are God, as if they own all the time, I will do it tomorrow, I’ll minister to my neighbor next month when I come back from my trip, who says, do it now, time is short and soul winning and evangelism even if it’s from a selfish standpoint, there is benefit.

John 15: 16, the Bible says that when you win souls and your souls abide, whatsoever you ask the Father in His name, He will do it unto you, praise the living Jesus.

Brethren, as I conclude on this part, it has been said that there are two types of believers – the ones who go out to win souls or the seat warmers or the backsliders, which one would you be? I would rather be the one that will win souls, that will obey the great commission. The Lord Almighty will bless you in the mighty name of Jesus.

You have been repositioned to win souls and so you will in the name of Jesus, amen. Praise ted Lord! Praise the living Jesus!

So I want you to fasten your seat belt for the part B: Genesis 41: 14 – 34, it’s quite a long passage but I will try to paraphrase it. We’ll be talking about “Swimming Against the Tide”; “Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh. 15 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it.

16 And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace. 17 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river: 18 And, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine, fatfleshed and well favoured; and they fed in a meadow: 19 And, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill favoured and leanfleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness: 20 And the lean and the ill favoured kine did eat up the first seven fat kine: 21 And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favoured, as at the beginning. So I awoke.

22 And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good: 23 And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them: 24 And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told this unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me. 25 And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath shewed Pharaoh what he is about to do. 26 The seven good kine are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one. 27 And the seven thin and ill favoured kine that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine.

28 This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he sheweth unto Pharaoh. 29 Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt: 30 And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land; 31 And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous.

32 And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass. 33 Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt. 34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years”. Praise the living Jesus! It’s quite a long passage, I needed to go through that, hallelujah!

Swimming against the tide: swimming, we all know what swimming is, so let me concentrate on the tide, what is a tide? It’s a current in the sea that is caused by the regular and continuous movement of the sea waves. It goes up and down, then you say you have a tide in the sea.

Oftentimes, when people swim on the sea, you go along the tide, but sometimes when the tide is contrary or somebody is being carried away, what do you want to do? You want to turn and swim against the tide, it’s always difficult but sometimes you need to turn and swim against the tide.

People sometimes refer to the forces that are difficult or impossible to control as a tide of history. To swim against the tide therefore could be another way of saying to not follow everyone else.

Now, normally you flow with the tide of the sea, to swim against the tide is uncommon but it does happen. So bringing it to our message, to swim against the tide comes in two ways: to swim against the tide may mean what every other person is doing, you don’t want to do because it is not necessarily the right way everybody else is going; secondly, it could be that there are difficult times, but to survive, you need to come against the tide so that the difficult times does not wash you away and that’s more like what we are going to talk about this morning, praise the living Jesus!

We would like us to quickly take a bit of lessons and then we look at the things that I think is the core of the message of today. Without gainsaying brethren, these are not the best times in our country, in the nation; like we saw in the story of the famine in Egypt, we can liken this period to that same time of the famine in Egypt; you can actually look at that story and see some similarities to what we have gone through or what we are going through right now.

There was a time of boom that they had in Egypt that was seven years, followed by the seven years of famine, but when the seven years of famine came, it was as if there was never a boom, does that look like something anybody has seen before? What we are going through now is as if there was never good time already, but by the grace of God, the good times are coming again in the mighty name of Jesus.

So the few lessons I want us to take quickly is first that economies of the world operate in cycles. The economies of the world are cyclical, there is a period of boom and then there can be period of the low or some people call it doom or some people call it famine, there are cycles, the implications of these therefore is that if there is a not-so-good time now, in the horizon, the good time is coming.

In Genesis 26: 1, the Bible tells us that there was famine in the land, beside the first famine in the time of Abraham; this was in the time of Jacob, so between the time of Abraham and Jacob, there was one famine and another famine, in between it there must have been period of boom, praise the living Jesus. So you can see that economies operate in cycles.

The famine sometimes can be self-induced or can be human-induced, but oftentimes there are changes in the ecosystem that lead to the change in what was a boom and then they become something else.

So quickly going into the next point right after that is that no famine, no economic disaster will last forever. No economy remains in famine perpetually; in Egypt we saw there was a time of famine, seven years, but it ended. In Samaria in 2nd Kings 7, there was a period that they were all shut in and things were so expensive but it ended one day. In the name that’s above every other name, this season will end one day.

Then I also want us to know that people respond to famine, to difficult times, to economic challenges differently, praise God. In Genesis 26, we saw Isaac and the Philistines – the Philistines said there is famine, there is no water, nothing is working, so there’s no point going to farm, it is a waste of time, they sat back; Isaac said I’m used to walking, more so, God tells me to continue to walk, then I will continue to walk, so each day Isaac went out, the Philistines were looking at him, look at this stupid man, can he not see that there is no rain? But eventually, who became stupid? They were the stupid ones because when the harvest came…

So brethren, we respond to these times differently but the point I’m hitting is that no one should fold his/her arms, let’s keep getting at doing something, praise the living Jesus.

Number four, the impact of famine on people also differ.  Particularly depending on the way you respond to it; when the impact came, the Bible tells us in the same Genesis 26 that Isaac had a hundredfold return where the Philistines had nothing; the one who does nothing will have nothing, 0 * 0 is 0, 100 * 0 is 0; the one who labored effectively will make something out of the labor, praise the living Jesus!

And the next lesson I want us to see is that it does not matter how bad any economy is, God has a solution. When there was a problem in Egypt, the solution that Joseph deployed was given to him by God; when there was crisis in Samaria, the way the abundance came was orchestrated by God. In the mighty name of Jesus, our economy will not defy divine solution. God has solution, praise the living Jesus.

Now, let us look at where we are; we find ourselves in what it is, some of us were part of it, some of us just woke up to be part of it but whatever it is, none of us can dissociate ourselves from what it is that we have in our hands today, so the question is, are we going to continue and coast along with this tide or we are going to swim against the tide to ensure that we don’t get washed off the shore?

Before going into the things I think we must do, brethren, I also want to say that there’s no one that is immune from what is happening today. Somebody may say I have all that I need, yes, it’s true, you have all that you need but remember also, if there were ten people coming to you before now to ask for help, it is now 100 or 1,000; so there is nobody that is immune from what is happening today.

So what are the things that we are supposed to do or I’ll say from the passages that I’ve read in the Bible?

Make effort to improve your lot or make effort to survive this situation. One of the things a famine or economic challenge does is first, it brings hunger; next, it brings loss of vision, because all that you are thinking about is how do I live today? Nobody is thinking and planning for ten years now, how do I live and survive today? Not many people are thinking of ten years now, and then sometimes it brings death. The Bible tells us in 2nd Kings 6, women started killing their children because they had nothing to eat, praise the living Jesus!

Brethren, don’t raise up your hand in the air and say I can do nothing, make effort to survive. What are the things that we can do? The seven years of famine in Egypt in Genesis 41 was a global problem; there was no food in Egypt, there was no food anywhere, but when Jacob in Genesis 42: 1, when Jacob heard that there was food in Egypt, he called his ten sons, we cannot live and die in hunger, get up, I hear there is food in Egypt, go to Egypt and get food for the family, that was an effort to survive, praise the living Jesus.

So what are we supposed to do? We are not Jacob, we are not his sons, you can, instead of sitting at home brethren, and lamenting about how things are or they’ve been or they said they will be and abusing those in authority – this one, that one, this party, that party, that’s not the solution brethren, let’s make the best use of the time that we have, you can acquire additional skills. If what you are doing now is not providing what you need, you can acquire additional skills, you can acquire additional qualification, something else that can add to what you are getting.

If for example, all that I can do is I can bake and people are saying cake or whatever is luxury, I don’t want to buy, can I look at people who at least are hungry and want food and see how I can make food and sell? Can I look at how, for example, I can go to Mile 12, get food in bulk and look for people who don’t have time and begin to say see, I pay for your time, I do this for you; get additional skills on what it is that you can do, praise the living Jesus!

Try to expand your sources of income. There are many people who are working here in Nigeria today and they still have jobs abroad, online work; instead of wasting time on WhatsApp, Netflix and all those, can you use that internet, the same thing as an opportunity to look for opportunities over the world? People all over the world are looking for cheap labor and Nigerians happen to offer cheap labor to those in the world, so instead of paying somebody $20/hour there, they pay you $5/hour, does it concern you?

It’s an additional income, look for what else you can do, don’t fold your hands and say we are in the period of famine, it is not worth it for anyone to give up on life; some people at this point will say what else am I waiting for? Then you hear that somebody jumps into the lagoon, it’s not worth it, no one should take a permanent decision, if you jump into lagoon and you end life, that’s a permanent decision on a temporary situation. This time will be over, don’t take a permanent decision on a temporary situation.

Number four, we must maintain good discipline especially financial discipline at this time. How do I mean? Live within your means, cut down on unnecessary expenses, this is not a time that you want to impress on somebody; they say there is Aso ebi, you can’t afford it, you’ll say I also want to feel among, give me my own too with gele and everything, don’t leave me out of the group, and you cannot afford it or you barely have enough to afford it, why would it be difficult for us to say sorry, not at this time.

Live within your means, brethren, this is not the time to impress anyone, you remember the story of the five foolish virgins, I asked myself, they were waiting all night until the bridegroom came, they knew they didn’t have oil and they were gisting with those who had oil, what should they have done? Excuse me, I want to go and get oil, but they didn’t want them to say haha, you are not even up to scratch, and eventually they were not up to scratch.

Live within your means brethren; count the cost before you embark on a new project, praise the Lord! In Luke 14: 28 – 30, the Bible tells us, anyone who intends to build a tower; you count the cost first and see if you are able to finish it. If you put resources in a project, it can be a business, it can be anything, and you cannot finish it, your fund will be tied in that and you won’t get anything for it, count the cost, if you can’t finish it, don’t start it; if you can’t finish it, get help, know that you can see it through before you start.

Avoid taking nick-check decisions. Some people will just come and say, ha, Taye, how now? I’m fine; where are you going? I just want to go and change my phone to iPhone 15; he’ll say okay let’s go, I also want to change my own. Taye had planned his finances, you just say I also want to change my own; don’t take       nick-check decisions, plan, fit in into your cash flows, see that it can work for you, then take the decision, praise the living Jesus!

Don’t be wasteful. In Egypt, in the seven years of boom, the Bible tells us in Genesis 41: 53 – 54, Joseph stored grains in warehouses all over, in cities all over Egypt until there was no space again to fill, they didn’t waste it. Don’t waste resources, if you have it now, don’t waste it.

And then the next one is delay gratification. If you are doing a business, somebody has promised you a contract, you have not even gotten the contract and you are spending the profit. Delay gratification – get the contract, do the contract, do the arithmetic, this is my gain, it is out of your gain that you can take.

And for those who are selling, sales is not the same as profit. You make sales of ₦10, they say they want to buy something, you say take, this is my own money; you have finished that business because you may not be able to continue – delay gratification.

Number eight: avoid borrowing where it is not necessary. Many of you will be wondering why am I saying avoid borrowing, there are many things people borrow, but don’t borrow to keep up with lifestyle; don’t borrow money to buy shoes, don’t borrow money to buy wristwatches, don’t borrow money to buy iPhone 14, 15, 20; don’t borrow money for those things, don’t borrow money to wannabe like the other people, avoid borrowing as much as it can be, don’t use borrowing to puff up your lifestyle.

On the other hand however, if you want to take advantage of a situation and you can see to the end, you can see the cycle complete, you can take advantage – take a borrowing, take it out, return the money with cost, take your own portion and move on. It is called leverage. Leverage is coined from the word ‘lever’; a lever is a machine that enables your capacity to do more than you can.

If borrowing will take you to a level beyond where you are, all well and good, but if borrowing will leave you where you are or will take you further down, don’t go near it. Many people will say, ‘a t’owo olow, a t’owo eni, k’owo sha ti wa l’owo eeyan’, (whether it’s my money or another person’s money, so long as there is money to spend), you will spend that money.

In 2nd Kings 4: 1 – 7, Elisha the prophet told the widow, he said, go to your neighbors, go and borrow, not a few, and then she did borrow, she filled the oil, sold the oil, returned the vessels and left the remaining to live, that is borrowing. When borrowing is going to take you up, take it, if it’s not going to take you up, don’t borrow. Many people borrow, they forget the cost; there’s interest cost, particularly in Nigeria today, interest cost is around 30%; I don’t know what business you are going to do that you can pay 30% per annum, if you cannot afford it, don’t borrow, because when you borrow and you can’t pay, you see those bankers, those financiers that wear nice suits, when you default, you will know that there are different people.

And when you borrow, please repay your loans, and if you have capacity before the repayment date, pay it, pay it off.

Number nine, protect what you have, protect your assets, protect your own to avoid deterioration, to avoid demolition in value, to avoid impoundment, to avoid losses. The Bible tells us about Joseph, going back to Genesis 41: 56, it says he stored grains in warehouses; he could have left them in the open, what would happen? Sun, rain will wash them away; birds of the air, other animals will come and eat it, praise the living Jesus.

Whatever it is that you have now brethren, it may be difficult to replace it, please keep it well. How many people can buy new cars now? I was reading the other day, they said a Prado is ₦120,000,000, how many people can buy one now? So the one that you have, tuke tuke, please, maintain it well, keep it, praise the Lord!

And in addition to keeping it, another way to keep the assets that you have is to insure; insure your assets, so if there’s any loss, if there’s any theft, you will not fall to ground zero, you will find something to keep you back up or give you a buffer to stand again. Please, it may take a bit of cost, but it will help ultimately.

Number ten; keep your ears to the ground. At this point in time brethren, information is important; the information you have can turn things around for you, and some people, what they live on is information, the moment they get the information, before it becomes public, they go in and come out and everybody else comes and then you are just buying the short end of the stick.

But people who live on information, the one who gets information first acts first. Genesis 42: 1, going back again to Israel, when Jacob saw, another translation says when Jacob heard, another one says hear; how did he hear as an old man and his sons did not hear? Keep an ear to the ground, look out for information.

A lot is happening now, the Central Bank continues to issue policies, continues to give circulars, continues to change things, some people don’t even know what is happening, keep your ears to the ground. A lot of companies are declaring losses now and that’s when you want to buy their stock; the exchange rate is at the point now and you say ha, I want to invest in this; you need to understand what’s happening and how do you do this?

Attend seminars, attend conferences, if you cannot attend them, after every seminar and conference, sometimes they show in the news, they put the caption, listen to the news, take newspapers, go on the internet and search on the topic, what is happening. You need information right now brethren, don’t live and let things happen to you, you should happen to things by reason of the information that you have.

Jacob told his people in Genesis 42: 1, go and look for food, I heard there is food in Egypt; if he had not heard, chances are that they would have died in hunger.

Number eleven, seek professional advice. If you are going to take any decision, particularly on financial or investment decision, you need professionals if it’s not your field. Because people say I don’t want to pay professional cost, but they do an investment and lose their money, it’s better to pay 5,000 than to lose 1 million, praise the living Jesus!

When Pharaoh had a dream, the Bible tells us that Pharaoh did not call his butler to interpret the dream, Pharaoh did not call his driver or horseman or carpenter to interpret the dream, he called Joseph, an expert in the interpretation of dreams. Let us go to the experts for advice, let us go to the professionals for advice; for example, on investment matter, if it’s stock, there are people who are registered stock brokers; if you want to buy properties, there are seasoned real estate agents.

How many of us know that along this Lekki-Epe axis, there are some places marked already for demolition by government? People are looking for how to sell their lands, if you go and say they said this land is cheap and you buy, the person has traded his woes to you, but if you have an agent or a professional who would say don’t go to that place. Don’t just make decisions without seeking the help of professionals; don’t launch into the deep blindly, brethren, hallelujah!

Number twelve, stay out of trouble. These times, people are looking for trouble; trouble is cheap, if you see trouble coming, just escape it, stay out of trouble.

Obey the rules of the land; there are some people who are on the road, they wear one uniform like that, the fear of them on the road is the beginning of wisdom. If you cross the lane or you take one way and they catch you, you must pay before you leave; you want to pay out of still looking for money? Stay out of trouble brethren, and people are looking for – when you are in a public place and people are talking and there are heated arguments, just stay away because that argument can turn into fight, before you know it they would come and carry everybody, what you know nothing about, you will go and explain in the police station.

Stay out of trouble, and if for any reason you get into trouble, please seek legal advice quickly before they take you to court.

Number fifteen; help those who are in need. There are many people around us that are in need, if you have enough and you have extra, please help the next person. Genesis 41: 56 – 57, Bible tells us that Egypt had enough, the other countries did not have, they came to Egypt to buy corn; Egypt could have shut its doors and say this is not enough for us too.

Help people in need, the Bible tells us in Proverbs 19: 17, he will lend to God and you can’t lend to God and He will not overpay you.

And finally brethren, trust God for divine direction. He knows everything; one person’s situation is different from the next person’s, but God knows what fits each person. The solution for Samaria was different from the solution for Egypt, it was different for solution for other countries at another time; God knows, go to the Lord Almighty and He will give you the solution for a time like this.

In summary brethren, we will have to swim against the tide, otherwise, this tide is capable of taking one away from your destiny, and by the grace of God we will swim against the tide successfully in the name of Jesus. The Lord Almighty who knows the way will show us the way; there is no economy that is a perpetual famine, this one that we are in also will pass in the mighty name of Jesus.

But if you are going to depend on God, you must be able to hear the voice of God and God must know you also. In 1st Chronicles 4: 9 & 10, Jabez called unto God, he was in an economic mess like this and God heard him because he called unto God; you need to be able to call on God.

[Altar call]

Let’s begin to appreciate the Lord Almighty; let us thank Him for His message that He sent to us this morning; let’s thank Him for His faithfulness; let’s thank Him for the solution that He has for us at this time, in the mighty name of Jesus. In Jesus mighty name we have given thanks.

We are going to pray and say Father, please help me to swim against this current tide of economic tragedy and succeed in the mighty name of Jesus. Help me oh Lord to swim against this tide of economic tragedy, thank You heavenly Father, thank You blessed Redeemer, in Jesus mighty name we prayed.
