Let all the works of God in the house shout hallelujah! He said all His works shall praise Him, bless the Lord my soul, once again, let the works of God in the house shout hallelujah! Brethren, we have come to do one thing today and we have come to enjoy ourselves giving praise to God, so don’t be under any pressure, if you must come under any pressure at all, let it be the pressure of praise.
The Lord has been good, if it is true, jam your hands together for Jesus. We are here to praise God and we will help you to praise God, and guess what, our praise will reach out onto God.
Our Father and our God, once again we are here, thank You for all that You have done for us and thank You for making it possible for us to come; thank You for all that You have done and thank You for thus far You have brought us, thank You for the first month of the year, thank You for taking us through the second, third, fourth, fifth, since here we are in the seven months, six months have come and gone and You remain faithful, and in this second half we know You will remain faithful because You are a faithful God, there is no turning or shadow of variableness with You, what You have done before You will do much more again, accept our thanks in the name of Jesus.
As we thank You for the first six months, we trust that the second half of the year will be more glorious, accept our thanks in Jesus name. The totality of our thanks today, Father, let it come unto You as a sweet smelling offering and by it You will bless us much more, prove that You are real, prove that You are strong, prove that You are our Father and glorify Your name today like never before, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed
.
[Birthday Celebration]
Father, once again we thank You because in Your presence there’s fullness of joy, and at the right hand there are pleasures forever more. Lord, we pray that You will fill our hearts with joy even as we praise You in Jesus name. Speak to us in this moment, provoke us for thanksgiving and let our praise and worship come to You as a sweet smelling savor.
We remember Your children who have been faithful in the payments of their tithes and in the giving of their offerings, Lord, according to Your word, You will bless them in Jesus name. All that You have said concerning obedience to Your word, let it come to fruition in their lives in Jesus name, and all of us together count us worthy to reign with you, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed. God bless you.
Happy new month to every one of you and we gladly welcome you to this thanksgiving service of today in the mighty name of Jesus, as we praise God, I pray that God will accept our thanksgiving in the name of Jesus. Let me seize this opportunity to say thank you to those who have responded to our Macedonia call (if I may put it that way) with regards to the organ that we just procured, I’m sure you have listened to the production, we have to hire somebody to come and give us a trial so that you have a taste of the assets that you have acquired.
I want to appreciate you very profoundly for your positive response, my prayer is that you will never be left alone in Jesus name, you will not be abandoned and God will continue to take care of you. We appreciate you very profoundly.
This month is our month of renewal, that is our declaration for this month, and our scripture is taken from the Book of Romans 12: 2. Seven represents perfection, like I told the workers, but truth of the matter is that we cannot be perfect without being renewed, for anything to be perfect, you need to renew, you need to recheck, you need to repackage, and for everything to be perfect with us, our lives needs to be renewed and repackaged, and that is exactly the word of God to every believer according to Romans 12: 2
It says we should not conform but transformed by the renewing of our mind, be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God for your life. The text of perfection is renewal, so I recommend renewal to you, renew your mind, refocus, be redetermined, we cannot continue to do the same thing the same way and expect a different result; if you want a glorious result, you want God to bless you, to prove what is good and acceptable as far as God is concerned, the need for renewal cannot be overemphasized. My prayer is that God will give us the much needed grace to do all that we need to do in order to become what God wants us to be in the name of Jesus.
Judges 7: 20 & 21, (you know Daddy GO’s message will soon come our way, but before then we need to serve the first course in order to prepare the ground for the main message), and the three companies blew the trumpets, and break the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal: and they cried. The sword of the Lord, and of Gideon. 21And they stood every man in his place round about the camp; and all the host ran, and cried, and fled. May God put your enemies to flight at the hearing of the blowing of your trumpets in the mighty name of Jesus.
Like I said, today we have come to express ourselves and in self expression lies enjoyment. When you express voluntarily you find out that the end result is always in enjoyment, and that’s why this morning I’ll be talking to us very quickly on what I call Supernatural Visitation, and as we are all aware, the word ‘visitation’ simply means an official visit either for inspection or for an oversight. When you visit, you visit either for the purpose of inspection or supervision, of course for commission.
While the word ‘supernatural’ there refers to something that is not natural; when you say something is supernatural, it means that it’s not something that happens every day, and when it happens, it does at the realm of the divine, not something that is not naturally orchestrated. So Supernatural Visitation then means God’s involvement and appearance in the affairs of man, and I can tell you without any fear or contradiction that there is one among the various instruments among which God can orchestrate supernatural visitation and that instrument is instrument of praise.
Praise means to commend; praise means to magnify; praise means to worship and adore God in appreciation of what He has done for us.
In the workers meeting this morning, I shared with us there about what has happened in the last six months of the year, from January to June quite a lot has happened, children have been born and of course people have also died, Yoruba will say eni t’okan lo mo, we are not rejoicing at the misfortune of anybody, but we are just trying to bring to the fore some of the great things that God has done for us.
We’ve heard of plane crashes in the course of the year, we’ve heard of fire. I met a lady yesterday, I wanted to buy corn from her and she said sir, because we used to buy from her, she said you didn’t ask after me. I said sorry, you know I don’t know your name and I just stopped to buy corn from here; she said I was a victim of fire accident, meanwhile one side of her body has the visible fire scars; she said my sister was not that lucky, that I lost that my other sister and I didn’t know when I screamed; just in the course of this year, quite a lot has happened, people travel the same road that you have traveled, some people passed through it they never went back home or to their destination.
I cited the example of this lovely Liverpool center forward, Diogo Jota, because I follow Liverpool a lot; lovely guy, stylish in playing, excellent striker, whenever he came on board, you are sure that the goal will be scored, the guy died at 28 and he did not die alone, he died with his younger brother, may God console that family. That could be one blow too many, but here we are, God has preserved us, do you know you are preserved not on account of your righteousness? How many of you are righteous?
You know, that’s why when I see people pontificating, when I see pastors pontificating as if they are the most righteous person, I wonder, I shake my head and I shake my head in disbelief because sometimes I ask myself, is it not the same Bible that we read? When the Bible says if we say we have no sins, it says we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us, so when I see people pontificating as if they are the most righteous people, they carry on, I say to myself, may God have mercy on this man.
We are standing not because we are holy, the Bible says is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed because of His compassion, do you know your sustenance? The only thing that sustains us today is mercy and compassion, if you take away mercy and compassion, we are gone. A lot of guys that have gone, we are not better than them, even sometimes the supposed righteous ones die and you’ll be wondering if this one could die, then what about you, but God in His mercy has kept us to this moment.
It is not automatic for everyone to sleep and wake up, because there are people who have gone to bed even in the course of the last six months who never woke up, they slept and from there they transited unto death, but whenever you and I go to bed, we are sure that the mercy of God, that the grace of God will wake us up and we are always there, and that’s why we plan tomorrow I will do this, tomorrow I will do that, if you drop dead, you know your tomorrow will never come again, we do it taking things for granted. So all of that when you put them into consideration, then one thing that is required of us is to thank God, to appreciate God for all that He has done, and when we come to God together to praise and worship God, is a moment of commendation, adoration of what God has done.
You can also magnify God in appreciation for what He will do because praise is also an act of faith; praise is an expression of our faith and declaration of victory that the battle is over. According to the scriptures, Jesus at the tomb of Lazarus lifted up His eyes to heaven and said, ‘Father, I thank You because You hear me whenever I call and a miracle happen’, that is in John 11:41 – 43. I decree that every battle you are fighting today, God will give you victory over them in Jesus name.
Brethren, praise has the capacity to elevate us into the presence and the power of God; praise has the potential to bring down the presence of God because God inhabits the praises of His people, Psalm 22: 3, therefore, when you want God to dwell with you, cultivate the habit of praise and worship.
Now, when you look at Judges 7: 20 & 21, our main text for today, the Midianites oppressed the children of Israel and God told Gideon that He will use him to deliver the children of Israel; Gideon and the three 300 men that God chose for him went to the battle with trumpets, pitchers, and with harps. Initially there were about 32,000, at some point the number dropped to 12,000 plus, but eventually God chose 300, and when they got to the battleground all they did was to blow the trumpets and they broke the pitchers, then the enemies ran, the enemies fled. I decree today in the name of Jesus that as you blow the trumpets and break the pitchers by way of praise today, every enemy of your life will disappear in Jesus name.
The Bible says with the left hand they hold the pitchers and with the right hand the trumpets, and as they blew the trumpets they also at that point broke the pitchers and what the enemy saw there was confusion because they’ve never seen that in history before; when people comes to fight, they come with armors, they come with arrows, they come with machine guns, but here they saw just 300 men coming with trumpets and with pitchers. Pitchers is like racket, somebody is coming to fight you, you have come with machine gun and you see him with racket and you will feel like this guy, you have to be very careful and that was exactly what happened, they broke the pitchers and blew the trumpets and the enemies gave way. I pray in the name of Jesus that as we blow our trumpets and break our pitchers by way of praise this morning, your enemies will disappear, you will look for them and you will find them no more in the mighty name of Jesus.
In 2 Chronicles 20: 20, in the case of um Jehoshaphat, the Bible says, “And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper”. What they did was they went for battle with organized worshippers and they praised God and caused their enemies as they praise God just like it happened in Judges, it was the enemies out of confusion that helped in eliminating one another. I pray in the name of Jesus that as you praise God today, all your enemies will help in destroying themselves in the name of Jesus.
When you praise God, it brings about supernatural switch, and the case in Acts of Apostle 16: 25 & 26 is a living witness; Paul and Silas were locked up in prison, but the Bible says in the middle of the night, Paul and Silas decided to do something extraordinary, they praised God and there was a supernatural visitation, God visited them on account of their praise, there was an earth shake, their bands were loose and of course, the prison door was thrown open. I decree today once again that as you praise God today, the presence of God will come into your situation and it will compel everything that is holding you down to let you go in Jesus name.
Brethren, nothing can hinder the praise of God because e even if you are bound, all you need is that divine visitation, that supernatural visitation, and even aside from that, you can still speak from your heart to God instead of brooding over the situations of life, I want to encourage us to cultivate the habit of making melody from your heart.
I remember a song we used to sing those days. [Music], how many of you have melody in your life? When you worship God from your heart, it draws God’s attention to your situation, and Paul told the Ephesians in Ephesians 5: 19, it says, “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord”. This is a gracious encouragement to believers, to you and to me, to express our faith and worship through music, specifically by speaking one to another in songs and making melody in our hearts, it’s an act of inward heartfelt devotion to God.
And finally, praise is a command and also a pathway to increase. Psalm 67: 5 &6 say let the people praise thee, oh God; let all the people praise thee. 6Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, will bless us. Today as you praise Him, blessing will come your way; as you bless Him, upliftment will come your way; as you praise Him today, poverty will be eliminated in your life.
But you must take note of the fact that the sacrifice of a sinner is an abomination to God, think about it as we join our father in the Lord and after his ministration, of course we’ll roll the altar call together. If you are here, you have not at any point in time surrendered your life to Christ, I encourage you to do it today; it says, repent ye therefore and be converted so that your sins may be blotted out in order for the time of refreshing to come from the presence of the Lord. I pray that none of you will leave here the same way you came today in Jesus name. Stay tuned and the Lord bless you.
