Amen! Thank you very much for all the beautiful words; but to God be all the praise and glory for what He has done for me, in me and through me in Jesus name.
Praise the Lord! If you are here this morning and you know that your prayer will be answered by fire, shout hallelujah. If you believe that God is here according to His word to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask of Him, praise the Lord!
Our Father and our Lord, You said in Your word that before we open our mouths You know what we want to say, and while we yet speak You answer, (that is in Isaiah 65:24); as we will call upon You today, Lord answer us by fire in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
You further said that we should call upon You and that You will answer us and show us great and mighty things that we do not know, (that is in Jeremiah 3: 3); Lord, as we call upon You today, reveal Yourself in the mighty name of Jesus.
Lord, according to Your word this morning, beginning from now until we see You in glory, in every area and every facets and every sphere of our lives, begin to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ever think, ask or imagine to the praise and glory of Your name, for the extension of Your Kingdom to bless us and to make us blessings to our generation in the mighty name of Jesus.
Thank You almighty God, blessed be Your holy name in Jesus mighty name.
I will not forget to thank the pastorate of this place for the invitation to come here this morning, I pray that God will anoint His word by the power of His Holy Ghost to achieve the purpose for which it is sent, and that His word will prosper in everything to which He has sent it.
It is always a pleasure for me to come back to the blessed family where I always feel that I’m among my own people; thank you very much for the invitation.
Now to the word: our text is Jeremiah 29: 11-14; “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an unexpected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
(Please begin to follow the word of God) And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, (you will not go from here this day without meeting with God) saith the Lord: and I will turn away your captivity, everything that is holding you down, preventing you to be what God called you to be, to do what He has called you to do, to have what He has purpose for you to have, God will deal with today in the name of Jesus.
I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the Lord: and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.
You may be wondering what this passage has to do, as we go along you will understand. This is not only about you people that are here this morning, it is about every Nigerian on the face of the earth; in the mighty name of Jesus, as we have been calling upon Him all these many years, this is the season when He will answer us in the name of Jesus.
What is Prayer? Because we want to talk about the “Secrets of Answered Prayers”; simply put, prayer is a dialogue with God; I talk to God, God talks to me or God talks to me and I talk back to God; it’s communication with God; it’s communion with God, that is the simplest we can put it, and people pray to all kinds of God; this morning we are talking about praying to the God of Jehovah, the Lord of hosts, the Man of war, the God of battles, the God who has never lost a war, who is here this morning to give you freedom – total and complete, permanent and enduring in the name of Jesus.
Now then, before I delve into the message, I want to say this morning I’ve come to inspire you, number one; I’ve come to encourage you, number two; the foundation that will be laid today will be revolutionary, and from today, even before you enter the presence of God, you will know that He’s there to answer you, blessed be the name of the Lord.
I want to assure you, to encourage you, to inspire you that you can never ever weary God with your request, with your supplication and with your intercession; nothing is too small for God to bring to Him, and nothing is too big. God is there, the El-Shaddai, He has the wherewithal, He has the resources; you have sung it, you have danced it, you have proclaimed it, you have decreed it, you have declared it, you have confessed it; He’s the God of the impossible; the God of all flesh with whom nothing is too hard.
God is willing and able to come through for you in phenomenal and spectacular ways, so let us go to God’s word to confirm that this morning; Matthew 7: 7- 8; be inspired, be encouraged that when you are speaking to God, God desires that you speak to Him more than you even want to speak to Him: “Ask, and it shall be given unto you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knicketh it shall be opened”. Blessed be the name of the Lord!
Can there be any promise more encompassing than that one? Ask, all you have to do is ask; knock, the door will be open unto you; seek, and you shall find. Matthew 21: 22, I want to establish the foundation that God is here to answer you this morning; “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive”. Not one thing, not two things, all, all things; what is your problem this morning? Begin to package them so that you can bring them to the foot of the cross, blessed be the name of the Lord!
Mark 11: 24, I want to establish the foundation that you will not go out of here without getting your miracle; “Therefore I say unto you, what things ye desire, (what is it in your heart that you want God to do this morning), when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them”. When you pray this morning, whatever your desire is, God has promised you in His word that He will grant you the desires of your heart.
So this morning, what things so ever you desire, when you stand up to pray, believe that you will receive it; at the point of prayer, when you say to God this morning, ‘according to Your word I shall not be barren, I’m only a waiting mother, I know that my children are on the way’, believe that you will receive it, that’s what the Bible says, and then you shall have it.
The first thing for you is to believe; when you believe then you shall have it. In the world, they say to you ‘seeing is believing’, here this morning, believing is seeing, amen. As you see it this morning, God will do it for you in Jesus name.
John 14: 13-14; you are standing on solid ground, you will never be moved, and you will never be shaken. John 14: 13-14, “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, (whatsoever, that leaves out nothing) that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son”. Do you remember that God created you for His pleasure so that His name can be glorified in your life?
This morning as you ask, God is going to come through for you. “If ye ask anything in my name, I will do it”. I will do it is a legal commitment, it’s not ‘I may do it’ or ‘perhaps I will do it’; Jesus is speaking here and says whatever you ask him my name, I will do it; that leaves out nothing, whether it is small, whether it is big, and it does not matter the magnitude, it does not matter how long it has been there, God will come forth for you this morning in the name of Jesus.
John 15: 7, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you”. If you abide in my word and my word abides in you, well, that’s one of the secrets of answered prayers.
I was just laying the foundation why God will answer your prayer this morning, but a secret has come off – if my word abide in you and you abide in my word, you will ask anything, and abiding in the word of God means that [holding the Bible] this is abiding in you; every promise, more than one thousand is abiding in you, so when you come this morning, they say ah, in your family they never prosper, you say no, what God says is that whatever I set my hand to do I will prosper in it.
As a born-again child of God, as the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, that is God’s word for you, is it abiding in you?
God is about to break the jinx in your family, all those things that have been following you contrary to this word shall be demolished today in the name of Jesus Christ. By coming to the cross to appropriate the sacrifice of Calvary, you had moved away from that family from which you came, you now belong in the best family in the universe, the family of almighty God; your Father is the Creator of heaven and earth, the God of the nations, the One as the cattle on a thousand hills, the One who is the El-Shaddai, the One who has everything in quantum, He will not fail you today in Jesus name.
Finally, John 16: 24, “Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, (not you may receive, shall is legal) that your joy may be full”. Everything that is hindering fullness of joy in your life today will come to an abrupt end. Everything that is hindering fullness of joy in your life today will come to an end in the name of Jesus.
Every month you are expectant, (I don’t know why I’m talking about the women today) and by the time the date is up you begin to weep, you shall weep no more; your fullness of joy is about to begin; God will give you double, treble, quadruple for your trouble in the name of Jesus.
I have established the foundation that you will never pray in vain; this is the extent to which God moves heaven and earth to answer your prayers. If you ask anything in the name of Jesus, as long as it is according to the will of the Father, God will do it for you.
So we want to move now into the secrets of answered prayers; begin to look at yourself, God is still potent in power, as powerful as He used to be when He parted the Red Sea and caused the children of Israel to walk on dry ground and drown their enemies to a man, He’s going to do that today in Jesus name.
God is as powerful as the days when He brought Daniel out of the lion’s den and fed his enemies to lions in the name of Jesus. God is as powerful today as He was when He brought Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego from the burning fiery furnace, today He’s going to bring you out from every tight corner in the name of Jesus Christ.
Every wall of Jericho that has been built around your success; that has been built around your destiny, that has been built around what God wants to do for you, they are collapsing this morning in the name of Jesus Christ.
The secrets to answered prayers; you can also refer to it as conditions to answered prayers because God is not a man that He should lie; He’s not the son of man that he should repent; when He says it He does it; today He’s not going to fail you, but look at the conditions, look at the secrets, the ones that is not yet operating in your life, tell God to remove it so that the barrier to answered prayers will depart from you today in Jesus name.
Number one: the prayer that God will answer must be brought in the name of Jesus. The Bible says God has given him a name that is above every other name, at the mention of the name of Jesus, every knee in heaven, on earth and under the earth must bow. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, every blockage, every hindrance, every roadblock, every mountain to answered prayer in your life will collapse today in the name of Jesus.
When you pray this morning, pray in the name of Jesus; the Bible says God has given him a name (that name, if you want to look for the reference – Philippians 2: 9- 11), when Satan hears that name he trembles, blessed be the name of the Lord.
Number two: you must come into the presence of God with thanksgiving. Not ‘oh God see me again o, I’ve been married 19 years no child, see me again o; my mother-in-law is a witch’, if she didn’t kill the husband you married, she can’t kill you, hallelujah! Maybe she killed all the other children selectively, but if she didn’t kill the husband you married, she can’t kill you. Blessed be the name of the Lord!
So don’t come before God grumbling, murmuring and complaining; there is a lot to thank God for; enter His presence with thanksgiving, enter His gates with praise so that He can receive you and quickly answer your prayers. If you are always grumbling and complaining, some of you will say what has God done for me? God hasn’t done anything for me; if God hasn’t done anything for you, you won’t be here this morning; He woke you from sleep, He has renewed his mercy cover over you; the Bible says you will know the truth and the truth will set you free, amen.
He has renewed His mercy cover you this morning, that’s why you are alive; not everybody that slept yesterday night woke up, so you are here, at least God has done something for you, blessed be the name of the Lord!
So as Psalms 100:4 says, always come into His presence with thanksgiving; into His courts with praise. If only you will think back to where you are coming from, you may not be where you want to be yet but God has done a lot for you, blessed be the name of the Lord!
Number three: in prayer, you must go to God with the right motive, amen. The right motive in those days when I used to pray for my husband, (bless his soul wherever he is now, I know he is with the almighty God), I was praying out of selfishness; all I wanted was God to save him so I can have peace, and some of you are still praying like that; this man, God, just knock him down so that I can have peace; and that is praying with the wrong motive.
The motive should be God, save him so he doesn’t go to hell; save him so that the sacrifice of Jesus Christ concerning him will not be in vain, are you listening? Women, I know some of you are hurting, but if you pray with the right motive today, things will begin to change, blessed be the name of the Lord.
Pray with the right motive, the right attitude and the right relationship; before you will begin to pray, make sure that you have been reconciled with God, you have been reconciled with yourself, and you have been reconciled with your neighbor, not that they have been reconciled with you, that is not your problem, you just make sure that you are following the word of God, amen. Blessed be the name of the Lord!
Come with the right motive, the right attitude and be in the right relationships, James 4: 3. Psalms 66: 18, if you regard the iniquity in your heart the Lord will not hear you, so come, believing that what God has promised, God is also able to do, blessed be the name of the Lord.
Number four: if we want answers to our prayers, we must forgive others. I brought in the forgiveness this morning because again I preach from the word and I preach from my experience; I used to be very unforgiving, ‘do me I do you God no go vex’, but that’s not in the Bible, it’s not in the Bible; that is a cliché we coin to please ourselves.
The Bible says to forgive, because if you do not forgive, your Father who is in heaven will not forgive you your own sins either, Mark 11: 25; so it does not matter whether they did it deliberately, whether they did it in error, whether they are willing to say they are sorry or they are not sorry, your own is to forgive; when you forgive, God will tackle the other person. He’s only giving them long rope to pull, He says vengeance is mine, I will repay.
Vengeance belongs to God, God will repay; if you try to catch them yourself you may put yourself in trouble.
I was just telling you a few moments ago that unforgiveness was one of my greatest challenges; when I see the person who has offended me, my heart would be beating, my head would be aching, all kinds of things will be happening to me; then one day I felt God said to me, why are you doing all these kind of things that you are doing? Can you deliver yourself from them? Do you know how many enemies you have? The ones that you have, you can’t tackle them, what about the ones you don’t know?
I believe it was God, He said if you want to do it your way, hold them in their wrist and hold them very tight, if the tightness is too much I will remove what belongs to them and give it to them, the rest I will return to you. Do you know what the tightness mean? Don’t let Satan return anything that is not good to you, leave them in the hand of almighty God, He’s able; and if you hold them loosely, then you are not holding them tight enough, you have cheated yourself, but when God helps you to hold them, ah that’s another story, I don’t want to go into that, blessed be the name of the Lord. Forgive – it’s a secret to answer prayer.
Number five: we must pray according to the word of God (I have been telling you that since we started) Luke 1: 35- 38, I will zero in verse 38; the angel came and said unto Mary, (he said) God has looked upon you with favor, you are going to be pregnant and you are going to have a child; that child you are going to have will be the Son of the Most High. Mary said this is strange, how can I have a child without knowing a man? And I’ve not heard of any other conception without a man; if you come and say something is wrong with you and that you are pregnant, your husband has not slept with you; you will go back to where you came from o, amen.
There’s never been any other miraculous conception before Mary and after her, amen.
What she said after she had asked the question was ‘be it done unto me according to Thy word’; and according to the Bible, she was instantly pregnant by the power of the Holy Ghost. This morning, when you give God’s word back to her, ‘ah ah God, why is my own like this’? They were singing about the God who changes destiny; Jabez went to God and said I’m fed up with this nonsense name, You have to change my destiny. Anything that is in your life that is contrary to this word, that does not align with the will and the word of God, they are going from you this morning; but it is with your mouth that you will tell God.
God says in His word: as you speak into My ears, so will I do unto you; you will tell God what you want this morning and God will do it for you.
Some of you, the devil may be sitting by you now saying are you listening to what she’s saying? God may do it for the man on your left and your right, not you; tell him to shut up, God is not going to do it because of you, God is going to do it because you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus; God is going to do it for you because of the sacrifice of the cross; God is going to do it for you because He’s the ever faithful God, you can never ever be qualified for what God does for you, He does it because he’s God, and He will be God in your life this morning, blessed be the name of the Lord!
Give God back His word; the Bible says to you, if you are a born again child of God, the children of the righteous shall be delivered. Some of us have prodigal children, they are all over the place, you don’t even know what they are doing; they may be thousands of miles away, God is there; the God who does more than any mother and father can do, tell God this morning, You promise me in Your word that the children of the righteous shall be delivered, I am your righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, I decree and declare this morning standing on Your word that the snare is destroyed and my children are escaped in the name of Jesus Christ; they are coming back to do spectacular things in the name of Jesus. The purpose and plan for which God created them shall be fulfilled in the name of Jesus.
Are you a praying mother? Are you a praying father? The Yoruba’s didn’t read the Bible before saying ‘omo adura kii sonu’, what that means is that children that are constantly prayed over can never be lost. If you are praying for your children and you are waiting for manifestation, they will never be lost to the devil in the name of Jesus Christ, blessed be the name of the Lord.
Number six: we must pray in faith. This is another word I used to struggle with, praying in faith; I will gather momentum to have enough faith, it’s always in struggle; faith is not anything to struggle about.
What is faith? Faith is knowing the word of God and standing on the word of God. What does God say about your situation? What is your situation? I know my own; don’t think that as pastors we don’t have challenges, we do, it is because we can’t tell it to you, so we tell it to God, Amen.
What is your situation? Have faith in God, have the faith of God; the faith of God is standing on the word of God, what does God say about the situation? When God had the situation in the beginning, the situation was darkness; God said to darkness, let there be light, and by the power of the Holy Ghost, light appeared; you shall not be barren, that’s the word of God. Standing on the word of God means that you are telling God I have faith in Your word, Your word says I will not be barren; I’m not going to be poor, Jesus was made poor so that I can be made rich.
Murmuring, grumbling and complaining is not prayer, God does not hear it; God listens only to His word, so continuously give Him back His word, amen.
And when you are praying according to the word, you are praying in faith. God will answer you today by fire in the name of Jesus Christ, blessed be the name of the Lord.
When you pray, have a confident expectation; your expectation is in the word. This (the Bible) is the only thing, God works with His word; He doesn’t work with all those psychology, logic… His word, give Him back His word.
Number seven: we must pray in the power of the Holy Ghost. So if you are here this morning and you are not born again, I hope we will have one or two minutes to talk about ministering the Holy Spirit to you.
Some of the time and some of you who have been through that experience will agree with me; you know a situation needs prayers, you don’t know how to pray; sometimes you don’t even know the situation, so how can you pray in all those situations? That is why Jesus Christ, when He went away, He sent us the Holy Ghost; one of the names of the Holy Ghost, (He has so many names I can’t begin to mention them now), but one of the names of the Holy Ghost which you must remember and which will begin to work for you from this morning is that He is the Spirit of grace and supplication.
The Holy Ghost is the spirit of grace and supplication; He gives you grace in the place of prayers; he prays through you when you don’t even know what you are talking about, and prays for you with groaning that cannot be altered. He represents you before the Father, even as Jesus is also your intercessor, so you must pray in the Holy Ghost.
So if you are here this morning and say you are born again and then when you get stuck – sometimes it’s not even that you don’t know what to pray for or how to pray, it is that your heart is so full you cannot even pray. In those days when I had problem as agbada, by the time I opened my mouth, I’m crying; somebody knows what I’m talking about, but if you are baptized in the Holy Ghost and you have a prayer language, by the time you blow it for half an hour, the devil already is packing his load, hallelujah! You’ve got to pray in the Holy Ghost.
I’ve just given you one of the advantages in that the Spirit of grace and supplication knows what to pray for, because He knows the heart of the Father, you don’t, and when you pray in your prayer language, the Bible says you are edified, your faith is built up. You know when you are praying in tongues, except you have the interpretation, you don’t know what you are going to say next, so you are already in faith, you are praying in faith, blessed be the name of the Lord.
So you must be baptized in the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, so that you can be able to talk directly to God. When you are praying in your prayer language, the devil doesn’t know what you are talking about, so he can’t even hinder it, amen. And maybe I should advise you that if you have been baptized with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, you must try to pray every day, one hour in your prayer language, there’s no better way of praying, when you begin to do that you will see it yourself, you will experience the benefits and the profits yourself. Blessed be the name of the Lord!
Like I said, when you are praying in your prayer language the devil has no clue. Do you know that it was because he was able to hear what Daniel was saying when he was praying that he hindered his prayer in Daniel’s 9 & 10 if you read the two chapters? He needed an angel to come and remove Satan and his squads from the way so that Daniel can have the answer to his prayer.
When you pray in your prayer language this morning, he doesn’t know what you’re talking about, so he can’t hinder it. So one of the benefits, one of the conditions for answered prayer is praying in your prayer language. I’ve given you seven points, amen.
But this morning, 2nd Corinthians 6: 2; your pastor prayed for you when he was to bring me to the podium, God will answer you this morning; today is your day of miracle, signs and wonders; today is your day of answered prayers.
In 2nd Corinthians 2: 6, the Bible says today is the accepted time; today is the day of salvation. When I’m talking of salvation this morning I’m talking about people who have never given their lives to Christ; the only prayer that God will answer from you this morning is the prayer of repentance; you have walked away from your Maker, you are a prodigal son, you must come back home and give your life to your Maker. That’s one of the conditions of answered prayers; if you don’t belong to me, no be me born you, no be me adopt you, you can’t come and make any demands of me o, I will know that you have missed road, amen, but if I’m your Father – adopted or biological, then I’m responsible, Hallelujah!
So today is the accepted time, today is the day of salvation; so when I make the altar call, if you have never given your life to Christ, some of you are afraid they will call you fanatic, ah you are going there, if I was not fanatical, if God did not deliver me from the hand of the devil I won’t be holding the microphone this morning, I would have died 40 something years ago, buried and forgotten. Those people that you are afraid of, in the day of trouble they can’t deliver you; in the day of trouble they can’t help you; in the day of trouble they will even pretend they don’t know you, remember Peter, Peter who went in and ate with Jesus, he said I never knew the Man; but if you come to God today, you come to Jesus in salvation today, God will answer your prayer. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
Or if you are a backslider, you have gone off doing your own business, God has been too slow for you, because some of us is the ‘microwave mentality’ in- out, and God is not your house boy, you have to be patient with God, God has been patient with you; if God was not patient with you, you won’t be here this morning, [sound off] and God has not come through for you and you have walked away, come back, where you have gone they can’t help you they can only deceive you, blessed be the name of the Lord.
So the first altar call will be for people who want to re-dedicate themselves to God or people who want to come to God because they know only God can help them; after we have done that, we are not going to pray long this morning because you are going to pray concerning your concern, your challenge, your problem, I’m going to pray about mine, so when we begin to pray you’ll be saying your word, I’ll be saying my own, so in about one or two minutes we should finish.
So when the people who are going to give their lives to Christ have come forward and I believe they will not let the devil hinder them, those who have gone away because God has been too slow for them, God is here this morning to answer you but you must come back, that will be one of the conditions, blessed be the name of the Lord!
And if we have a few minutes left we can now minister the Holy Spirit, because you must not go away from here this morning, even if we cannot minister the Holy Spirit, after the service tell your pastor to give you a hall and let your pastor look for a Spirit-filled Christian that will minister the Holy Ghost to you so that when you kneel down tonight and you begin to pray, the devil would have known that you are coming from somewhere, blessed be the name of the Lord.
So if you are here this morning, like I did some 42 plus years ago, came back from my wandering and gave my life to Christ, just stand on your feet. Don’t bother who is looking at you, the only people who will be saved and I’m not trying to frighten you, I’m trying to just inspire you and encourage you and tell you the truth, the only people who will be free from trouble in the season where we are now are the people who are marked by Jesus. You look to your left it is trouble, you look to your right it is trouble, in front of you it is trouble, at your back it is trouble, but God says to you, be of good cheer, I have overcome the world; He overcame the world for you, not for Himself; He has promised you no evil will befall you, no plague will come near your dwelling; a thousand shall fall at your left, ten thousand by your right, it will not come near you, but you can only claim that promise if you belong to Him.
Some of you know you have been up, you have been down, you have been north, south, east and west, instead of getting better, it’s getting worse, come to the One who cannot fail this morning; so I’m asking you now to come forward, it may be only just you that I’m here for this morning. The Bible says there is rejoicing in heaven over one sinner that repents; begin to come if you want to give your life to Christ and begin to come if you have backslid, God is willing to take you back, begin to come; come, if you think you are saved and you are not sure, come and make assurance doubly sure this morning, don’t look at anybody; if it is only you, God will rejoice over you this morning.
If you are here this morning, you want to give your life to Christ or you want to come back home, come, when you come God will begin to fight for you as He’s fighting for me, God will begin to protect you as He’s protecting me, God will begin to provide for you as He’s providing for me, God will begin to push your enemies to shame, come in the name of Jesus.
Tomorrow is inauguration day you don’t know what is going to happen, but like the Bible we read this morning, God’s thoughts towards His own children are thoughts of peace not of calamity, to give you a hope and an expected end; begin to come, don’t look at anybody; begin to come begin to come and lift up your right hand and say to God, God, I am here; I have come unto You, I’ve had Your word and I believe Your word, all I’m asking Lord (in the name of Jesus) is that You will take me back, is that You will save me and begin to answer my prayers as I’ve heard that You will do. Lord, I come to You, it is to You that I have come; I have not come to a church, I’ve not come to a pastor, I have not come to any man, I come this morning believing that Your word is true, believing that You are able to do all things, believing that You cannot fail.
Begin to talk to God: God, I come home, (if you are a backslider) God, I dedicate my life to You; (if you are a backslider), God, I’m asking You to save me because You own me anyway in the name of Jesus Christ, so that Your word will begin to be performed in my life, blessed be the name of the Lord; thank You almighty God, in Jesus mighty name.
And so Father God almighty, in the name that is above every other name, the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I’m handing over these people to You this morning, You know them severally, You know them individually, You can see their hearts; my Father and my God in the name of Jesus, everyone that is coming to You this morning to be saved by You, this is why you gave Jesus, save them oh Lord in the name of Jesus.
Every backslider that has come back home, restore them oh Lord in the name of Jesus, and fill them with power never to go back from You; thank You Lord because it is done, in Jesus matchless name.
You are here this morning, you know that you know that you know that you are born again, you also know that you know that you know that you are not praying according to the will of God yet, that will happen to you this morning. The Bible says the Spirit of grace and supplication will help us in the place of prayer; when I first started to pray, by the time I was kneeling down near the bed and I was praying, five minutes I was gone, it’s when I woke about 3 A.M or 4 AM that I would discover that I was supposed to be praying.
If you are here this morning and you are born again, you know you are born again; the Holy Spirit is here to help you in the place of prayer, to help you to pray according to God’s word, because it’s the Spirit of grace and supplication, come now, don’t look at anybody, they will be saying all these years that she’s born again she’s not speaking in tongues, it’s not their business; I’m not prophesying doom, the days are getting tougher but it won’t be for you if you belong to God. It will get tougher, go and read Matthew 24; but if you are here this morning, you are born again you know that you are born again, you are praying but you cannot pray in the prayer language, you are not baptized with the Holy Ghost…
What we want to do this morning is to help you to be baptized in the Holy Ghost; let me also remind you that Jesus Christ sent the Holy Spirit to us from heaven, and Jesus Christ is the baptizer in the Holy Spirit, it’s not me, it’s not the pastor, if you are willing and you are obedient you will eat the good of the land; part of the good of the land is baptism in the Holy Ghost, so when we pray this morning, believe that you will receive the Holy Ghost, then I’m believing with you, the pastor is believing with you.
The Bible says if two shall agree as touching anything that they shall ask it shall be done for them of My Father which is in heaven; if you are genuine and you are in sincere, before you leave here this morning you will speak in tongues.
Lift up your two hands; (when you lift up your two hands it’s as a sign of surrender, you are saying God, I give it all to You; I’m surrendering it all to You;
I want to be only Yours, and in every way that You can help a man I want You to begin to help me. I want You to baptize me in the Holy Ghost) say Father, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I lift up my hands to You; I come this morning to be baptized in the Holy Spirit so that I can become an effective prayer warrior in the name of Jesus.
So when I say receive the Holy Ghost, don’t speak in Yoruba don’t speak in Hausa, don’t speak in English, open wide your mouth, God will fill it; receive the Holy Ghost in the name of Jesus; receive the Holy Ghost, don’t say amen, begin to pray in tongues; receive the Holy Ghost… in the name of Jesus.
Receive the Holy Ghost; open your mouth and speak in tongues, receive the Holy Ghost, receive the Holy Ghost. My Father and my God in the name of Jesus, receive the Holy Ghost… Open your mouth and speak in tongues, you can’t speak with your mouth closed; open your mouth, receive the Holy Ghost.
Quite a number of you have spoken in tongues, I know that; all who have spoken in tongues put up your right hand, now, you are like children learning to talk, I want to advise that as from today, each time you kneel down to pray, you will pray in the Holy Ghost because if you don’t practice you can’t become perfect; each time you kneel down today to pray, for the next seven days pray in the Holy Ghost and God will continue to fill you and refill you with power that no enemy can confront, power that no enemy can change, go and be continuously filled with the Holy Ghost in the name of Jesus Christ.
