Heavenly Father, we worship You this morning; Miracle Worker, we honor You this morning; Promise Keeper, we adore You this morning; Way Maker, we worship You this morning, blessed be Your name Father in the name of Jesus. Father, in Your presence there is joy, there is liberty, there is nothing we want that we cannot have in Your presence, that’s why we are here this morning, Father Lord God Almighty, please, this morning do something glorious in everyone’s life in the name of Jesus.
Even as we have come with hearts of appreciation for Your goodness unto us, we have also come to receive, let no man or woman go away empty-handed today in the name of Jesus. Make a way for us, fulfill Your promises for us and let our joy be full, thank You everlasting Father, in Jesus name we prayed. Praise God!
I thank daddy once again for this privilege, thank you Sir for this opportunity, and I welcome all of you to church again on behalf of our father in the Lord, and I know that your coming today is not an accident, God has designed something good for you this morning, you will not miss it in the name of Jesus. Praise the living Jesus!
Quickly, our text is taken from John 14: 1- 6, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4And whither I go you know, and the way you know. 5Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me”. Praise the living Jesus!
This morning, the topic of this message is He Who Has the Son (that’s our Lord Jesus Christ) Has Everything, praise God! Because He encapsulates the entire blessings of God, the entire goodness of God is in Him, so when you have Him you have everything you need both here and also in the hereafter. The greatest discovery that any man or woman can make on earth (in my view) is to discover his way in this world, that is to know why God created you, for what, and how to accomplish it; and contrarily, the worst thing that can happen to a person is not to discover his way in life, not to know why God created him or her, for what, and how to accomplish it.
It’s like for example, an athlete, a very good athlete, he can run all kinds of races and then he goes for a race (maybe) to represent his country and his country registered him only for the 100m, but because he’s good, when they called the 200m he was there on the track, he ran and came first; they called 400m, he ran and came first; 800m, he ran and came first, but when the 100m was called he didn’t come out, in fact he was there on the sideline clapping for others because he had already won supposedly gold in three, but when it was time for them to give the medals they checked the names, everybody was expecting him to be given the medal – 200m, first, his name was not there; 400m, he was not there; 800m, he was not there, he wasn’t registered yet, the one that he was registered for, 100m, they checked his name was there but he wasn’t in the race, that’s the fate of a man who came to this world who does not know his way and then begins to run other people’s races. May you not run a race that God did not register you for.
That is to say that no matter what you accomplish in life you will be excellent in so many things, a man of great accomplishment, people may praise you, people may laud you, but if that’s not your way, if that’s not what God has registered you for, created you for, is just a waste, your life will not be a waste in Jesus name.
So how best can you know, what is the best way to know why God created you, what is the way to know, how do you know your way in life? The only way you can know your way, know why God made you and how to run that race, how to go by that way in life is to have the One who Himself says I am the way, because He is the way He will show you your way, He will not only show you your way, He will direct you through your path so that you will not run other people’s races, that’s why we say that he who has the Son (who is the way) has everything, praise the living Jesus!
We know that the Bible says that Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior is the only begotten Son of God, but according to Romans 8: 17, we are also heirs of God; children of God, once we are a child of God we are co- heirs with Him, which means that the blessings that Jesus Christ has from God, whatever He inherits from Him, we are co-inheritors of those blessings, so all the things that God has given which Jesus Christ inherits from His Father which is all that God has which bequeathed on Him, as co-heirs, they also belong to us, so when you have the Son you have everything, we have access to everything that Christ has unless we don’t understand it, unless we don’t know the value of what we have and we do not know that it is our right, but this morning, the Way Maker will show you His way, the truth will open your eyes to see and you will understand the kind of life that God wants you to live in the name of Jesus.
Now this morning, we just want to look at a few of the things that we have when we have the Son, the One who says He’s the way, the truth and the life; we just want to look at a few of the things that we have by having Him:
Number one is Divine Direction, praise the living Jesus! Because you have the One who Himself is the way, you will never be stranded in life, you can’t be stranded because Psalm 32:8 says, I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shall go: I will guide thee with mine eyes; in other words, He will instruct you, He will let you know what God has created you for; then He says I will teach you how to go in that path, I will guide you with mine eyes, so He will not only reveal to you why God created you, He says He will also order your steps and then He will also watch you as you go, hallelujah! Because He is the One who knows the way, so He will divinely direct your path, hallelujah!
The One who is the way will not only direct you, He will keep His eyes on you; Psalm 37:23 says He will order your steps, so He will instruct you, He will direct you and will watch over you. Peradventure you miss your step for one reason or the other, He promises in Psalm 37: 24, He says though you may fall, you shall not utterly be cast down: for the Lord upholds you with his hands; so even as you go along the path of your way in life what He has showed you, if peradventure you make a mistake, you stumble or you divert a little bit, He says He will not allow you to be forsaken, He will not allow you to go the wrong way because you are His child, because He has shown you the path, He will bring you back so that you can continue on your way of life. I pray as many of us this morning who have missed our path a little bit, who have been diverted or obstructed, God in His mercy will bring us back today to the path that God has chosen for you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Number two, Divine Provision; the Son of God is the channel, the One who is the way, who is the truth, who is the life, He’s the channel – the only channel by whom God blesses us, every other channel is fake, every other channel is false, every other channel is temporary, whatever other means you go through to be blessed of God, you may get something that looks like it but number one, it will cost you more than you can ever afford to pay; number two, you’ll find that is just ephemeral, before long it will disappear because that source will never give you freedom, they always want you to come back and eventually because it’s not from God it will not endure, but it is only through Christ that God blesses us, that God gives us provisions that endure, that are perfect, that will last forever and they will not bring sorrow because the blessings of God do not come with sorrow, hallelujah!
The Bible says in Philippians 4: 19, it says but my God shall supply all, not some, you can see that when you have Him you have everything; it says my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus; His riches in glory, all that He has. Psalm 24:1 says the earth and its fullness belongs to Him, so there’s nothing you need in life that God cannot provide, He owns the cattle upon a thousand hills; He made the seas, the oceans, everything on earth is from Him, He’s the source of everything good and it says it is only by Christ Jesus, only through Him, only through Christ that God will supply all your needs, so when you have Him who is the way, who is the truth, who is the life, through Him you have divine provision; God meets all your needs, not a need, not something that will bring you sorrow, not something that will disappoint you, not something that will cost you that you can pay because God Himself has paid for it, you are only walking the path that He has chosen for you and so because He set you on that path, He registered you for that race, He provides all that you need to survive and to excel in the race for which He has set before you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Number three, when you have the One who is the way, the truth and the life, your destiny in life will be fulfilled, you will have an assurance of destiny fulfillment because He’s ordering your steps, He will ensure that you fulfill destiny. Because you are walking the path that He has shown you, He’s greater than the greatest, nobody can overcome Him, whatever He has ordained comes to pass and because He’s walking with you, showing you the way, the devil cannot divert your destiny, the enemy cannot truncate your destiny; whoever wants to truncate your destiny whether in your office, your career, anywhere, whoever determines to try and divert you, he’s going to first confront Christ because He’s the one walking with you, showing the way.
The graveyard is full of many unfulfilled destinies, but when you have the One who is the way, He ensures that your destiny is fulfilled, why, because Hebrews 12: 2 says He is the Author and the Finisher of your faith; the Author means He’s the One writing the story of your life, in the beginning He’s there; He’s the finisher, at the end of your story He’s there, hallelujah! So He’s the Author, He’s the finisher, He’s there when you begin, He’s there when you finish, in the middle of it He’s also there because according to Revelation 1:8 it says He is also the Alpha and the Omega, so when you have the One who is the way in your life, He’s at the beginning, He’s at the end, He’s in the middle, His eyes are set upon you, your destiny is bound to be fulfilled, and I pray this morning that as many as may have been tempted by ambition, inordinate ambition or the enemy has tried to divert your destiny or those of your children, this morning by the power of this word you will recover your destiny back in the name of Jesus.
Accomplishments of things in this world that men appreciate does not necessarily amount to fulfillment of destiny, you fulfill your destiny if you are able to accomplish what God has set for you to do in life. Hear me, whatever you may attain in position, whatever you may accumulate in terms of assets, whatever fame you may have all over the world may not amount to destiny fulfillment, men may clap for you but it may not be destiny fulfillment if that is not what God has set you to accomplish. Some of us, what God has set before you is just to bring up Godly children, so it is what God has set before you that God will judge you by, and I pray that in the last day when God wants to judge you and I by what message, what errand He has sent us on this earth, we shall pass in the name of Jesus.
Number four, when you have Him who is the way, the truth and the life, you have power to control your situations and circumstances, you have the ability to control even what life throws at you, you can control your environment instead of lamenting ‘hey, why is this happening’, why do I say you have the power? Because in Matthew 16: 19, the One who is the way, the truth and the life says I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatsoever thou shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever thou shall lose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
In other words, with the key that the One who is the way, who is the truth and the life gives unto you, you lock and unlock circumstances, you can lock and unlock situations, whatever you do not like you can bind it, you can lock it, whatever you want you can open it; if there is a boss in your office who is tormenting your life you don’t have to go and confront him, you have the key, the Bible says the hearts of kings and hearts of men, is it your health, is it your finances, whatever it is, He says I have given you, that’s why sometimes when we go through challenges we pray and pray, God just looks at us, what do you want me to do, I already gave you the key, but we are so timid, we are so unknowledgeable, the Bible says my people suffer for lack of knowledge, if you don’t know the value of what you have you will abuse it.
He says why are you disturbing me? I have given you the key of the kingdom – He even says ‘keys’ of the Kingdom of heaven, in other words, He realizes that in this world there will be circumstances, but that whatever happens here is controlled from heaven; so He says you have the keys, unlock and lock, bind and lose, so you can control your environment, whatever is happening around you may be general but He says you can control it, hallelujah!
That’s why when there’s famine, God’s children prosper in famine; when there are plagues, God’s children are shielded; when there are troubles, that’s why He says when others are saying there’s a casting down you will say there’s a lifting up, why? Because your economy, your life is tied to heaven and you have the key to lock and unlock. And as I am speaking to you today, circumstances will bow to you, situations will bow to you, men who want to be problems to your life will bow to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Number five, you have freedom from bondage. When you have the One who is the way, the truth and the life, you have freedom from bondage, why? Because He Himself says I’m the only One that you need, I know that in this world there will be tribulations, (He says) but be of good I’ve conquered for you, I’ve given you all that you need; He says in Matthew 8:32, you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free; lies will not set you free, deception will not set you free, running helter-skelter will not set you free, (He says) the only thing that will set you free is the truth and I am the truth, hallelujah!
So no matter how long Satan has used his lies and deceptions to hold you captive, once you encounter the truth who is Jesus Christ, all the lies of Satan will disappear and you are set free in the name of Jesus. For example in Mark 5: 24 – 35, the woman with the issue of blood have been held in bondage, in captivity of sickness for 12 years, she had gone everywhere, men had made memes of her, she had been deceived by all manner of men, yet she was still in bondage, but one day she had an encounter with the truth, the One who is the way of healing, the One who is the way of release, of freedom, she met with Him and that day her captivity was broken, her bondage was removed, and that will be your portion today in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the same Mark 5: 1-13, there was a man who is now known as a mad man of Gadara, imagine a name that was an abomination became a name that men will talk about forever as long as the gospel lives and for a good purpose also, for a testimony of what our God can do; this man had been demon possessed for so many years, he lived in the graveyard, he had been in bondage of satanic stronghold but one day he met with the Truth, just as you will meet with the Truth today. The day you meet with the Truth, whatever conceives lies in your life must give way, deception will give way, falsity will give way in the name of Jesus. Whatever has been camouflaging as the truth in your life which is not the truth really, because many of us are living the lives of that lies, sometimes you know it is a lie, sometimes you don’t know because you have been made to believe it, but when you encounter the truth lie disappears.
That man met with Christ that day and his bondage was broken, it was destroyed. Whatever captivity may be operating in your life, in your career, in your family, today by the power in this Word of God, your captivity is broken, your bondage is broken.
No matter how long a lie may travel, when it meets with the truth it disappears; Saul had been living in deception, in the lies of the devil for so many years thinking he was working for God, Saul was going about killing Christians thinking he was working for God, the devil made him believe that he was doing a good thing, he was living a life of lies just like some of us, we may think we are doing a good thing all these years but we may be living in lies, unless God opens your eyes by revelation.
So he thought he was doing something good but he was living a life of lies for so long, but one day as he was traveling on that road of Damascus he encountered the truth, he met the One who is the way, his destiny was already diverted but the Way Maker brought him back to the way that God has set for him, this is not what I created you for, this is not what God made you to do, you have been living a lie, today you have met the truth and God opened his eyes, he got the revelation, his bondage to lies, to falsity, to deception was broken and from that day he recovered his destiny and he became the chief Apostle.
Today, no matter how long you have been living the life of lies, by the power in the name of Jesus, today, that captivity is broken, that deception is broken, you will recover your destiny, the truth of God will set you free. May be is physical captivity or spiritual captivity, intellectual captivity, financial captivity, whatever the nature of captivity that may be operating in your life, or your family or your career, this morning by the power in the Word of God in the name of Jesus you are set free; it may be in your marriage, you are set free in the name of Jesus.
Number six, when you encounter the truth, the One who says I am the way, the truth, because Jesus Christ as a Son of God going by John 1: 1 is the incarnate God, is God in man, He’s the truth of God, when you meet Him you meet the truth of God, when you encounter Him He turns you into a usable vessel of God. When you encounter Jesus, the One who is the way, who is the truth and the life, because He’s the truth of God, no matter what life you have been living before, He turns you around just like He turned Saul around and made him usable for God. Whatever the devil has been using you for, today, God will turn you around and you will begin to be usable by God in the name of Jesus.
Bible says in John 17:17, Jesus Christ Himself, the truth says, you know He had gathered His disciples and by extension all of us and He said sanctify them by your truth, thy Word is thy truth; unless you are sanctified, unless you meet with Christ and you are cleansed and sanctified, you can’t be set apart for the use of God; today, we will be set apart in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, praise the living Jesus!
In Exodus 3: 1-22, we saw the case of Moses; Moses was a murderer, a fugitive offender who had run away from Egypt because of his crime, but in that bush that day, he had an encounter with the Truth, he had been living a life of lies for so long, that’s why I know that there’s hope for somebody today, it doesn’t matter how long you have been running away from the truth, today the truth of God will capture you and it will set you free in the name of Jesus.
The life of Moses was going to be destroyed, he had lived up to 80 years not knowing why he was created, he thought he was in the wilderness as a punishment, he thought he was there hiding from being sent to prison or from being killed and then at 80 what remained, he must have been waiting for death, but God of mercy – he met the One who is the way, the truth and the life and God touched him, sanctified him by the word of God, He spoke to him, sanctified him, turned around his destiny and began to use him even at 80 to accomplish God’s purpose for his life.
Imagine for how long he had missed God’s purpose and destiny only to find it at 80; imagine if Moses had started his journey at 40 or 20 or 30, but it took 80 years for him to discover the truth. No matter how old you are and you have been living in a lie on the wrong lane of life, today by the mercy of God, notwithstanding your age, your background, whatever you have gone through, not regarding the kind of life you have lived, because He says your sin may be as red as crimson, but He says He will make you as white as snow, today there will be a turn around and you will become useful in the hand of the Lord in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Now number seven, when you have an encounter with the One who is the way, the truth and the life, you will not only enjoy abundant life here on earth but also in heaven, hallelujah! Abundant life here, what we see as life here is not what God sees as life, what is life here is when you are in the will of God, you are doing God’s will and He will provide for all your needs.
He says in John 10:10 that I have come that you may have life in abundance; abundant life includes the good things of life but it does not end there, it does not end in the houses, in the cars, all these things that we have; a man may be so rich and so wealthy and yet he may not have abundant life, he may not have peace, he not have joy, but God gives us gifts that do not come with sorrow, so because your peace, your joy, is not dependent on the things that you have but in who you have, in who is inside of you, hallelujah!
So when they take away all those things it doesn’t matter because you still have One who gives joy, who gives peace that the world does not give, the One who you cannot even explain, you have peace, you have joy, you have all that you need, you are sufficient in Him even more than those who have everything, you envy them because your lack knowledge. David said when I looked at the prosperity of the wealthy, of the sinful, he said I feel like joining them until my eyes opened and I discovered the truth that those who do not have the way, the truth and the life, they are like lamb that is being prepared for the day of slaughter. If you don’t have Christ in your life beloved, no matter what you may accomplished, you are like a chicken that is being bought or a goat, a ram that’s bought now in February that’s been reared and fed for slaughter in December, you will become fat and big, robust, but it’s awaiting the day of slaughtering, but that won’t be your portion in the name of Jesus, hallelujah!
He says I’ve come to give you abundant life, a life that has peace beyond understanding, joy like a river; a life that the devil cannot cut short because He’s in your life, everything around you is by His divine provision; then of course He also says for God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life, your life will go beyond this world.
He says I am the way, the truth and the life; He says I have gone to prepare a place for you in heaven, and then I will come back to take you to where I’ve prepared for you, but you see, when Christ has prepared a way a place for you, He will only take a person who is prepared to that place, He won’t take the unprepared to the place He has prepared; He has gone to prepare a place for you but He will first make sure that you are prepared because if you are not prepared and you go to a place that has been prepared you are going to destroy it. It’s like you are a man who has labored all his life to build estate, to build companies, to build everything and then you don’t train your child, you don’t prepare your child, everything you have labored for you just hand over to that child, he’s going to destroy it, you can only give a prepared place to a prepared person and the way to prepare you for where Christ has prepared for you is to ensure that you have Him and you ask Him to teach you, order your steps in the way you should live your life so that you can become qualified for the place He has prepared for you.
Many will miss their place because they not prepared to go, but as many as allow them to be prepared and the only way to be prepared is to have the way, the truth, and the life in your life, and when He prepares you, because He’s the only One that prepared that place, He knows what the qualifications are, He knows what God is looking for and so when you are in His hand and He prepares you, He’s the best preparer, He is the only One that can make you fit for the purpose, He’s the only One that can make you fit for that house where He has prepared for you in heaven, nobody else, not social media, not men like yourself, it is only God, only the One who says I’m going to prepare a place for you, and He didn’t say for 12 people, for 16 people, He says I’m going to prepare a place for you, so everybody is a candidate, is a potential occupier of that place, but whether you will get there is a matter of choice, that’s why He said I place before you life and death, make your choice; God is not One who imposes Himself, He gives you the choice, so you can decide that you want to go to that place He has labored to prepare for you, you can decide not to go by a simple decision and I hope that you will make that decision this morning in the name of Jesus.
Don’t forget, even when God prepares a place for you, if you refuse to accept that offer, another person will take it, may another not take your place in the name of Jesus. That place He has prepared for you, your money will not take you there, your position won’t take you there, connections won’t take you there, position in the church will not take you there, the applause of men won’t take you there, popularity won’t take you there, the only thing that will take you there is the One who says I am coming to take you there, it would be the height of foolishness for anybody to refuse that wonderful offer when He says I’m come to take you there and you say no.
It doesn’t cost you anything; maybe because it doesn’t cost you anything that’s why we trivialize it, you know men, we value what is expensive, we disdain the things that appear to be cheap because we are always looking for the cost, what does it cost me? People will say okay, salvation now is going to cost you 10 million, you say can I pay 20 million? If salvation could be purchased, if that place could be purchased, the only people in heaven will be the richest people, but thank God that is not the case, heaven is where everybody is potentially qualified but only those that will go are those who make the choice to have the Son in their lives, he who has the Son has everything.
In conclusion, there are so many other things that you have when you have Jesus; of course, you are going to have redemption, you have access to the Father; He said whatever you ask the Father in my name you will get, so when you abide in me and abide in you, whatever you ask you get, He’s the key to answered prayers, hallelujah! He’s the only hope of eternal life, you want to live a life that pleases God here on earth and still be able to make heaven, there’s only one choice, those who have made that choice I beseech you make sure that you keep steadfastly to it that nothing – there’s so much distraction in this world today that the world that we are fighting as believers, is the world to ensure that we keep our eyes fixated on that path that we have chosen, and to ensure that the Author and the Finisher who is watching us that we don’t run out of His hands, that we remain on that lane, we don’t cross lane because the greatest battle that the devil is fighting you as a believers is to ensure that he distracts you.
He’s not bothered about any other thing, the greatest victory of Satan will be if he’s able to take you away from the hand of the One who is the way, takes you away from the way of salvation, the way of God, diverts you into somewhere else which looks like heaven, which looks like the best life, you’ll say wow. That’s why unbelievers, you see they seem to having the best life but it’s a deception of the devil, it is a deceit of the devil; that’s why the Bible says that we must work out our salvation with fear and trembling, so if you’re a believer there’s still work to do and if you have not given your life to Jesus, there is no better offer for you; you want a job, you want a marriage partner, whatever you want.
Look, it’s like hitting your head against the wall if you keep going about without Christ; Christ is the One that can open the hearts of men, people you don’t even know to favor you; He’s the One that can show you the path to go, He’s the One that can direct you to where your blessings are, so your real problem is not that you don’t have a job, it’s a problem of wisdom, you are not making the right choices and the best choice you can make first and foremost is to make a choice that you will accept the Son so that you can have all that the Son has.
Let’s rise to our feet; can I just ask us to bow our heads and just shut our eyes and begin to pray that Father, thank You for saving me, the path You have chosen for me don’t let me miss it.

The rest of us let us pray these two prayers: say Father, thank You for the salvation of my soul, whatever may happen to me don’t let me lose my salvation in the name of Jesus. Pray that prayer for yourself, don’t let me lose You, don’t let me lose my salvation; pray that prayer with all your strength, in Jesus name we prayed.
Say Father, for the rest of my life, let me remain connected to You in the name of Jesus. Lord, let me remain connected to You, let nothing disconnect me from You; my wife, my children, my husband, my career, my family, all that deals with me, that I’m involved with, don’t let us be disconnected from You, in Jesus name we prayed.
Finally I want you to pray this prayer because it will be sad if a man makes heaven but your wife doesn’t make it, your children doesn’t; say Father, by Your mercy, let none of my loved ones miss heaven in Jesus name. Pray that prayer for them, that is the best you can give to them – your children, your spouses, your siblings; Father, please, whatever it will take You, don’t let anybody in my family, don’t let my loved ones miss eternity in the name of Jesus. Thank You precious Father, in Jesus name we prayed.
