Delight Yourself in the Lord

March 5, 2023

Immortal invisible, the only wise God, the God of all, the great deliverer, the Savior of mankind; we bow before You this morning, we declare Your Lordship, we confess with our mouth that beside You there is no other God; thank You for all that You have done for us; thank You for preservation of our lives; thank You for the salvation of our soul; thank You Father Almighty God for keeping us standing against all odds; accept our thanks in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Father please accept our praises in the name of Jesus.

We want to thank You Lord because it is in You we live, we move and we have our being, and we know with You on our side we are more than conquerors through You that love us. Thank You for the difference that Your love has made in our lives; thank You for the grace that the Lord has made in our lives; thank You Father because it’s by Your grace that we are what we are today; Father we return all the glory back to You in Jesus name.

Thank You for the presidential election; thank You Father Almighty God for the outcome; thank You because the country is not in a conflagration, there is no trouble, there is no crisis, not because people are really satisfied or whatever, but Lord Almighty we thank You for calming all the free…and we thank You for the peace that You have given unto us; Lord take all the glory in Jesus name.

Thank You Father Almighty God for the special Holy Ghost service; thank You Father Almighty God for the way and manner You’ve moved in the life of Your people; thank You for Your blessing; Lord Almighty God we cannot count our blessings because You have done so much for us; Father almighty God, as individuals, as a people, as a church, Father Almighty we say thank You Father in Jesus name.

We want to thank You Lord for the first month of this year, we want to thank You for all that You did; we want to thank You for the second month, we want to thank You for Your hands upon us and we want to thank You for bringing us oh Lord Almighty God to the third month; thank You because You will take control of everything and You will take care of us as usual; Lord accept our thanks in the name of Jesus Christ.

Father we thank You for everything that You have done; on behalf of our children we say thank You; on behalf of our spouses we say thank You; on behalf of our family members we say thank You; on behalf of our nation we say thank You; on behalf of the church we say thank You; for all that You have done ,we appreciate You Lord; a billions of times are not enough to express our gratitude to You, it is You in our life; it is by Your mercy that we are what we are today; Father we say glory be to your name in Jesus name.

Almighty Father we pray, in every area we have sinned against You; in every area we have not lived up to expectation, because the Bible says if we say we have no sins (it says) we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us; therefore Father, in every area we have come short of Your glory one way or the other, we plead for mercy today in Jesus name. Have mercy in Jesus name.

We commit this service unto Your hands, take control in Jesus name; bless us in Jesus name; speak to us in Jesus name; glorify Your name in our lives in Jesus name; open our eyes O Lord Almighty God to see You in a new dimension and You will give us the grace to praise You correspondingly in Jesus name.

We pray for all Your children who have been faithful in the payments of their tithes and the giving of the offering, Lord almighty God in blessing You will bless them in Jesus name; Father, in multiplying You will multiply them in Jesus name. Father almighty God, in all their undertakings, Lord Almighty God, we pray that success will come through in Jesus name; You will favor them in Jesus name and You will glorify your name in their lives in Jesus name.

For those who have not been given for reasons of lack, my Lord and my Father, before the expiration of this month let Your grace come through for them in Jesus name; plug every hole in their lives in Jesus name; break the yoke of poverty in their lives in Jesus name, and forever let Your name be glorified; thank You for everything.

Once again, with every sense of humility we ask that You come along in this service; do that which only You can do and take all the glory in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

And the people will say a better amen! Let the people of God say a better amen! God bless you, please be seated.

I want to say good morning to every one of you, and it is with joy in my heart that we wish you a very happy new month! The church has declared this month as our month of divine upliftment; sudden promotion, sudden advancement, sudden upliftment that is divine in nature will come your way in Jesus name.

And I also want to say congratulations on the peaceful conduct of the Presidential and the House of Representatives elections about two Saturdays ago; we trust God that the good Lord that deliver that peaceful poll to us will give us same peaceful atmosphere during the second and the last lap in Jesus name.

I told the people in the first service, make sure you file out enmasse on Saturday to cast your ballot; it is your civic responsibility and I want to encourage you not to be intimidated; let nobody intimidate you, don’t be harassed and don’t be discouraged, amen. What did I say? Don’t be discouraged; don’t say oh, the other ones’ outcome is not favorable; in a contest like that one person must win, amen! And in life, you win some you lose some, so don’t be disillusioned; all we need to do now is to pray that the outcome we have, the candidate we have will deliver the good – for the common good of Nigerians.

So that should be our prayers, and we pray that the new dispensation will bring about peace and progress and prosperity to our nation, and indeed to all Nigerians in Jesus name. So don’t be disillusioned, don’t be discouraged and don’t be harassed; file out and vote. You may be the only person – it doesn’t make any difference; I remember during the presidential poll, one of the presidential candidates garnered one vote in the states, a whole state where about one million people came out to vote, he got one vote and the man is alive and he will continue to be alive.

You know, if it doesn’t happen this time it might happen next time, so Nigerians, I think we need to purge ourselves of this entitlement mentality, it has to be now now now, let’s allow the will of God to be done. In the democracy they said minority will have their say and majority will have their way, it’s a game of numbers; so if my number is more than your own, you have to take it; I hope that is okay? Let nobody begin to feel defeated.

Somebody texted me last week and said ‘I feel defeated’, I said how can you feel defeated? Even politicians themselves don’t have that feeling of defeat, so why must you carry the feelings of a defeat? We are not defeated, we are victors and conquerors and as far as the church is concerned, maybe you don’t know, we belong to everybody and to nobody, amen! That is why nobody will stay here and say you must vote for a particular candidate, it is very wrong, amen, because we are not God, and like I said, even if we are God – we are not God, let me just leave it at that, it’s a democracy, it’s a game of numbers.
So please, another opportunity presents itself like one of my friends said this morning; your local government (not local government chairman now) but your representative in the house of assembly, then the governor that governs you, so choose; I think we have so many of them including the incumbent, if you think the incumbent has done well, then you vote for him so that he continues with the good work, but if you think he has not done well you want to effect a change, you can only effect that change through the ballot, any other means will be unconstitutional. The Lord will bless us in Jesus name.

By the grace of God we will not be having the prayer chain tomorrow and the reason is that we want you to have some rest, it’s been about 50 days of intensive prayers and fellowship; every evening, we rolled out, either outside or online to conduct services, to have prayers for the nations and all the rest. We bless God that God has answered our prayers; that Nigeria is still Nigeria today, no riot, no protest in any of the states; actually it can only be God and unto Him we return all the glory, honor and adoration.

So we’ve decided to give you tomorrow as a break so that you can rest; by Tuesday, all the other activities will resume, but on Friday by the grace of God, there will be prayer – online prayer for our nation just for the sake of the election so that there won’t be problem, there won’t be any form of conflagration or violence after the poll. I pray that the will of God shall be done in Jesus name. You are not responding like this, is anyone sick here? In fact, this is a land of Goshen, once you enter, sickness will vanish; as many of you that walked in today sick, you will walk out healed in Jesus name. Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!!
Don’t worry, I know what I will do for you, I will make you dance today because that heaviness in your life will disappear, but before then let’s invite all those who are born in the month of March, if you are born in the month of March can you please stand up while the choristers give us songs – danceable songs, we want to celebrate all the birthday celebrants together and the Lord will bless you.

Praise the Lord! Birthday celebrants, praise the Lord! It is God and unto Him we return all their glory. On behalf of the church we want to congratulate you on the joyous occasion of your birthdays (this month); there is no doubt about it, it is the Lord’s doing and it is marvelous in our eyes; it has pleased the Lord to take you round another year and of course as you know, every birthday marks the end of an era and the beginning of a new one as far as your years are concerned, and we want to thank God that today you are alive and well, you are standing on your feet, you are not in the prison yard, you are not in the hospital, you can dance, you can see, you can speak, you can bend down, you can stand up, I think somebody will shout hallelujah!

There are things that we do and we take them for granted; it only dawns on you when you are unable to do it; when you have food you can eat it’s the Lord’s doing; it’s not everybody that has food that can eat it, so for all that God has done for you we rejoice with you and we pray that all the goodness of God in your life shall be permanent in Jesus name.

We congratulate you and we wish you many happy returns, long life and prosperity; the Lord will bless you; the Lord will keep you; the Lord will cause His face to shine upon you; He will be gracious unto you; the Lord will give you peace; in the morning He will grant you peace; in the afternoon He will grant you peace; in the evening your life will be peaceful in the name of Jesus. God will keep you from harm; He will protect you; He will hide you under His pavilion; no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment shall be condemned. The Lord will move you forward in grace; He will move you forward in love; He will move you forward in faith and of course in the grace of the almighty God.

None of you will know a better yesterday; your head will not be bad in the mighty name of Jesus. Every of your heart desire shall be granted; it shall come to pass that God will answer your prayers and God Almighty will grant you divine upliftment and above all in the kingdom of God, none of you will be found wanting; so shall it be, for so we decree in the name of God the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit in Jesus wonderful name we have prayed.

How many of us are ready for this service? How many of you are ready? If you are not ready don’t pretend, I need those of you that are ready; if you are ready stand up, if you are not ready sit down. If there is anyone sitting down around you, tell the person I said he should stand up [Music].

Psalm 37 – I pray that the praise of God will never be removed from you every day in the name of Jesus; you will live to praise Him now and forever in the name of Jesus. Psalm 37: 4 & 5; the Bible says, “Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart”; verse 5 says “Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass”.

By the grace of God this morning, we will be talking to us on the topic “Delight yourself in the Lord”. I shared with them in the morning the same topic before we linked up with our father in the Lord and I took time to define the word ‘delight’ because it’s a keyword here, delight yourself in the Lord. Of course we know who the Lord is, so what is the meaning of delight?

Number one; according to the dictionary definition, the word ‘delight’ means to gain great pleasure, satisfaction and happiness. Additionally, we have another meaning of the Greek word for delight; in fact there are two of them: the first one simply means to be soft and tender and every genuine lovers of God are usually soft and tender towards Him, which means every genuine lover of God are teachable, they are pliable in the hands of God. In fact, one of the hallmark of a genuine Christian is teachability.

The Bible says ‘he that often reproof and yet hardens his heart (it says) it shall be destroyed but he that also reproofs and amend his way, of course deliverance, salvation will not be withheld from such’. So every genuine lover of God is teachable and is pliable.

Now the second definition according to Hebrew word, there is a Hebrew word called ‘anag’, in fact I discovered that yesterday when I was preparing; there’s a Hebrew word called ‘anag’ which commands; it’s talking about delight; it sees delight as a command, to find enjoyment in God. So when you talk about ‘delight yourself in the Lord’, it’s simply saying that as believers we must find enjoyment in God. Nobody finds enjoyment in pain, nobody finds enjoyment in discomfort; is there anyone here that loves discomfort? Is anyone here that loves pain? I’m sure nobody finds enjoyment in poverty; if you listened to the Sunday school today you would have discovered that.

In fact in the Book of Proverbs 37, it says “the destruction of the poor is their poverty’”, a rational man will not find comfort in poverty. So when God says find enjoyment in God, He knows that right in God there’s abundance of pleasure and no wonder David said ‘I will show you the path of life for in thy presence, there is fullness of joy and at thy right hands, there are pleasures forevermore’.

So delighting in the Lord as captured in our text simply (like I told them in the morning) presents us with a subtle condition to receiving from the Almighty. Psalm 37: 4, “Delight thyself also in the Lord; that is the first part of that verse and the second one says, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart”.

In other words, in order for you to get the desires of your heart you need to have delighted yourself in the Lord. You know we need to make this understanding so that we can benefit from the word of God and we can also benefit from this fellowship.
You know often time, our focus is on the later part of the scriptures than the first part which required us to delight ourselves in Him, we are always concerned about our needs and our desires such that we care less or perhaps a little about God’s desire and expectations from us.

So the scripture presents us very clearly with our responsibility to God and of course His commitment towards us if we play our part. God expects that we gain great pleasure and satisfaction in Him; He wants us to be completely entrenched in Him; He wants to be our all in all; He wants us to make Him our total dependence. According to Proverbs 3:5, it says, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding”; don’t lean on your own capacity; don’t lean on your own whatever you think you have but rather our dependence must be on God and God alone.

In verse 6 it says, “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy path”. You would agree with me that this scripture reinforces the admonition in our text as captured in Psalm 37: 4, so in order for us to get our heart desires, you know every time we come to God, ‘grant my heart desires; meet me at the points of my needs’ but a lot of time we are careless about what God expects from us; we are careless about what our responsibilities, our duties to God should be; we are careless about whether we have a relationship with God or not; we are careless about having fear for God; we are careless about the needs for us to be obedient to the word of God; all we want is ‘grant us our heart desires, grant us our heart desires’. When God says go, sometimes we sit down; when God says stand up, a lot of time we are right there seated and yet we come and say God ‘grant my heart desire’, that is not the way it should work, the way it should work according to God’s directive is that you delight yourself in Him, when you delight yourself in Him you take into cognizance the totality of His expectation from you as a person, it is then that you can now come and present your long list unto God.

So that’s why I call it a subtle condition, a subtle prerequisite to receiving our blessings, but I pray today; because you are here, because I’m here and because we are all here and because God is here, God will give us that grace so that we’ll delight in Him and from this moment we’ll continue to have our heart desires come to pass in Jesus name. Can somebody please say a born again amen! Shall somebody give me a delightful amen!

Brethren there are many reasons why we should delight ourselves keenly in God; I said it in the morning, it’s a long one but I will take a few for today and by the grace of God next month if Jesus had not come we will continue from there; if we don’t finish next month then we’ll continue and the Lord… because it’s a series of teaching, we need to teach ourselves, we need to know the mind of God, we cannot claim to be on the Lord side when we don’t even know what God is saying, what God expectations are from us; we cannot continue to walk in the dark and expect not to dash our feet against the stone, but where you know God’s expectation, you know what God is expecting from you, you know what God desires of you, then you’ll be able to operate in conformity with the will of God and the purpose of God for our life and it is in doing that that God will be readily available for us; it is in doing that that God will readily answer our prayers.

I pray that from today, God Almighty will glorify His name in our life on daily basis in the name of Jesus Christ.

Number one: delight in His grace. Don’t forget we are talking about the reasons why we should delight ourselves daily in the Lord; number one, delight thyself in His grace. Grace as we all know is unmerited favor which can only be drawn freely from the throne of God.

There is nowhere else (like I told them in the morning) that you can appropriate
grace, grace can only come from the throne of God. It is the same grace that found us when we were lost. For those of us who were lost and now found, it was that same grace that had found us; it is by that same grace that we are what we are today in Christ. Our salvation is a product of the same grace according to Ephesians 2: 8, the Bible tells us “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God”, when you read verse 9, that same scripture, “Not of works, lest any man should boast”.

It’s by grace we are saved; it’s by grace, it’s not by work, it’s not by work of righteousness. A songwriter says ‘it’s not by work of righteousness but by His grace alone; it’s not by work of righteousness but by His grace alone; it’s not by work of righteousness but by His grace alone, oh we are completely…’

Grace brings about our completeness; our completeness starts and ends with grace; no man can save himself neither there is any man that can save other men, the best a man can do is to share the word. That’s why sometimes I laugh when I hear people say ‘oh I’m going to save souls, I’m going to do this’, who are you to save souls? No man can save souls, praise the Lord!

Get me right and get me clearly, no man can save soul. In the light of that scripture where the Bible says it’s by grace we are saved; it’s not of any man, it’s not by work, it even says that it’s not by work, lest any man should boast of it.
And in 1st Corinthians 3: 6, Apostle Paul puts it very succinctly there, he said “I have planted, Apollos watered; (he said) but God gave the increase”.

That you are here, that I’m here, yes, somebody preached to us, because the Bible tells us in Romans that faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God; all you can do is to preach the word, you don’t have the capacity or the prerogative to save; salvation is a product of grace and it is God’s prerogative.

So we are saved by grace and like I said, grace is an unmerited favor, God dispenses it the way He wants and nobody can query Him. You can be poor and be saved, you can be rich and not be saved; you can be a president and be saved and you can be a president and not be saved; the capacity to save belongs to God and it is anchored on His grace and for those of us who have been in Christ, we are in Christ all by His grace. According to 1st Corinthians 15: 10, it says, “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me”.

You know when I see some men of God, they come and begin to flex muscles, they begin to boast; Paul said look, with the grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain, (he said) but I labored more abundantly than others, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. Whatever you are able to accomplish, whatever you are able to deliver; whether in ministry, whether in your professional career, maybe at work, maybe as a father, maybe as a wife, maybe as a mother, is all by grace; it is not because you are so smart, it is not because you are – yeah you can be intelligent without the grace, you know what that means, your intelligence will become something else; my prayer is that as you continue to delight in the grace of God, that grace will continue to be multiplied unto us all in Jesus name.

There are many multiple effects, what I call the impacts of grace; grace has the capacity to change situations; grace has capacity to reposition; grace has the capacity to recover; grace has the capacity to restore; God’s grace has the capacity to reposition and I pray that wherever you are today that is below, that is below God’s expectation, the grace of God will reposition you to the right place in Jesus name. Can I hear a born again amen! Can I have a delightful amen! God bless you for me in Jesus name.

Number two: you can delight in His mercy and compassion. God’s abundance mercy is something we can never comprehend, I don’t know if there’s anyone here that can actually comprehend the mercy of God. The Bible says it’s not of him that willeth, neither of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy; so mercy is somehow incomprehensible, you cannot just comprehend it, it’s only God, it’s not of him that willeth; you may will for it you may not have it, you may not run for it you may not have it, but it’s God that showeth mercy.

We had the Presidential poll, we had about 18 candidates but the three major contenders, out of 36 states each one of them got 12 but mercy gave somebody an edge, it is mercy. There is this song that says – praise the Lord! I know this is a church, when the pastor is talking forget about it, whatever your insinuation you better swallow it. We are all political animals but we have done our bit and we need to abide by the outcome, so whatever you are saying, if anybody is alleged rigging, if we go through, there is none of them that can pass the test of no rigging, nobody will pass it.

I’m not saying everything is all right, no, that is not what I’m saying; I will not stand here and say everything is all right, but at the end of the day, everybody had his own flaws but at the end of the day somebody won; it’s not of him that willeth neither of him that runneth but of God that showeth mercy.

So even if they all rigged, somebody outrigged the others, we just have to make ourselves happy, my brothers and sisters. Even the United States of America, the father of democracy, they had their issues; a sitting president refused to go, in fact he said something I would never forget, he said ‘I don’t know how I’m going to do it now, that sleeping show of all people will come and beat me’, he said, maybe I have to leave the country but he never left, he is still in the country, as a matter of fact he is preparing to run for another election and that is the beauty of democracy; if you lose today, prepare for 2027; we’ve seen those who lost before, they came back to win.

The incumbent president that’s going, he failed three times but eventually he won, true or false? So fortunately there is another opportunity in 2027, so let’s just allow this to go so that we don’t burn the country. I share your pains, I share your views with everybody but the truth of the matter is that a winner has been declared and we should allow it, if you have issues go to court.

Let somebody shout Hallelujah!

I was saying this morning during the workers meeting, my ministers are laughing because they knew what happened; I was saying this morning that let them just allow peace to reign and all the rest, let them not go to court. My chairman told me and said that is the beauty of democracy, let them go to court, if court in his wisdom decides to upturn it, glory be to God but if the court has affirmed it, then that is the end of it, but that should not kill your motivation and make you not to vote on Saturday, is that clear? File out on Saturday and do your own bit.

Except because God is merciful, we can stand before Him whiter than snow under the cleansing blood of Jesus according to Isaiah 1: 18, the Bible says, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord; (it says) though your sins may be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; (it says) though they be red like crimson, (it says) they shall be as wool”; and it is the mercy of God and compassion that redeemed us, if you take away mercy there will be no compassion.

The Bible said the wages of sin is death, it says but the gift of God is eternal life and eternal life can only come from grace and mercy, its mercy. Yoruba has a song, ‘modupe, mo ri aanu gba; modupe, mo ri aanu gba, ’tori kii se gbogbo eniyan l’ori aanu gba’.

Brethren, that we are here today, I said it, you may be rich, you may be high up there and you don’t have that mercy, and yet you may be poor, you may be a struggler and God will show you mercy. If we have to use class I will not be standing here before you today, it is that mercy that we have received; if it’s by class maybe some of us will not have the opportunity to even enter this church, mercy and compassion.

In Lamentations 3:22, it says “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not”. I told them in the morning, I said human mercy can overstretch but the mercy of God endurance forever; His compassion is limitless and is ever constant.

In James chapter 2: 12: 13, we are told that mercy triumph over judgment. See, the question today is that where would you have been but for God’s mercy and compassion? Ask yourself, where would you have been? What name would you probably be bearing? What association would you probably be keeping but for the mercy and the compassion of God and that’s why we must be deliberate in delighting ourselves in His mercy.

Number three (and that’s where I will stop): delight yourself in His word. John 1: 1- 3, the Bible says “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God; (verse 2) says, the same was in the beginning with God; (verse 3), all things were made by Him and without Him was not anything made that was made”.

I have said it again and again on this pulpit that God and His words are two inseparable entities. From what we can see in Genesis, the word of God was an instrument of creation; everything so created by God including you and I are the products of God’s infallible words.
David confirmed the word to be a lamp unto his feet and a light unto his path according to Psalm 119: 105, it says “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path”.

You see, you cannot walk in the word of God and regret it, and like I keep saying, the word of God is strong. The Bible says the word of God is sharper than any two edged sword, it can penetrate into the thickest of things and guess what, the same word is life and Spirit according to Jesus Christ; He told His audience, He said ‘the word that I speak to you, they are life and they are spirit’, so you cannot be a friend of God without delighting in the word of God.

In John 15, it says abide in me and I also abide in you; it says, there is no way a branch will bear fruit without remaining in the vine, and that is why it is incumbent on every one of us, (we call ourselves believers) to treasure the word of God; to find enjoyment in the word of God and do you know what? It is in the word of God that you know your rights, the benefits accruable to believers and that’s why the Bible says they that know their God shall be strong; they will do exploit.

How do you know your God? It is through the word. How many of you have seen God before? You can only see God through His word.

So brethren, I recommend the word of God to you this morning and I want to encourage every one of us to delight in that infallible word. The word of God is the key – is a master key to life; the word of God is the hope and joy of every believer. The Bible tells us that in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God; so it means that the word of God and God Himself are one inseparable entity, and I pray in the name of Jesus, as you treasure the word of God, as you allow the word of God to have effect in your life, the name of the Lord will be glorified in your life in Jesus name.

Therefore if you are here you have not given your life to Christ, you have not deliberately given your life to Christ, I want to challenge you this morning that there is need for you to do so, and fortunately we are talking about the fact that the mercy and the compassion of God is the one that has the capacity to prevail over judgment. It is sin that brings about judgment and judgment brings about death, but the Bible says mercy triumph over judgment and death.

So if you want to be alive in the Lord, you want to be strong and you want to take your portion, you must be with God; you must reconcile back with God and for the rest of us who have given our lives to Christ, all you need to do is from time to time delight yourself in the grace; you don’t take the grace of God for granted; you don’t take your salvation for granted; you don’t take your sanctification for granted.
The Bible says if any man thinketh that he stands; (it says) let him take heed lest he fall.

The reason why you see people crash out sometimes is because it gets to a point they assume that ‘we are there’, and meanwhile that is the grace of God; and God will never share His glory with any man, so I want to request all of us to stand up this morning, but if you are here you have not given your life to Christ, as we all stand on our feet and close our eyes and bow our heads, we want to say yes Lord, I surrender to You; I don’t want to go back home the same way I came; can you please raise up your hand wherever you are? Can you please raise up your hand.

You want to say yes Lord, I surrender to You the totality of my life, I want You to take control; I don’t want to continue to struggle with sin, I don’t want to continue to struggle with my flesh, I want to live a life of dominion and I want Your grace to find expression in my life. I want the benefits of mercy and compassion to be clear, to be made manifest in my life; wherever you are can you please raise up your hand, I want to pray with you and after that we go into our thanksgiving .

You want to say yes Lord, we surrender to You; take my life and take my time, let everything be. I bring everything before the throne of Christ today, I bring everything before the cross, I want You to take the totality of me; never again will I live my life for myself; never again will I delight in my weaknesses and delight in my carnality; I want to delight myself with You so that whenever I pray You will answer my prayer.

You know I told you you must delight in order for you to have your heart desires granted; so once again all eyes closed, all heads bowed; you want to say yes Lord, can I have your hand up, don’t struggle with your maker, shall we pray;

Father in heaven we want to say thank You this morning; thank You for Your word; thank You Father Almighty God for the impact of Your grace and the effect of same on Your word, accept our thanks in the name of Jesus Christ.

We pray Lord concerning everyone that heard Your word this morning, Lord that You will stir up our hearts and You will give us all that is required to delight ourselves in You in Jesus name. I pray especially for Your daughter who heard the word and is convicted by the word and she came out, Lord please receive her unto Yourself in Jesus name.

For those that have received the word but maybe for fear or for being shy or whatever they didn’t come out, all the same we pray Father almighty God let Your grace for salvation come through for them in Jesus name.

We ask Lord Almighty that the grace to delight in You, to delight in Your grace, to delight in Your mercy, to delight in Your word, to delight in Your love, to delight in Your excellencies, in soul winning, every area; Father all the days of our lives grant unto us in Jesus name, and we pray that the same word we have heard today will not stand against us on the day of judgment.

Blessed be Your name forever oh God, in Jesus wonderful name we have prayed.

And the people will shout a better amen! God bless you!
