Let somebody shout hallelujah! Our focus this morning is clear and it’s simply to thank our God; all the good and the bright things the Lord has done for us. If you look at the hymnal, the first stanza says we’ve sown and scattered, but God waters, praise the Lord! You know if a farmer sows and at the end of the day rain does not come, every effort will become a wasted effort and that’s why you see when farmers have done their bit, they will begin to pray to God – Father, let there be rain so that the seed can be watered in order to be enabled for growth; and my prayer this morning is that as we have come to give our thanks to God for all that He has done for us, God will accept our sacrifice of praise and of course He will bless us much more in Jesus name.
Father from the depths of our hearts, we confess Your Lordship this morning; we declare in an unambiguous times that there is no one like unto You; You are faithful, You are gracious, You are Holy, You are merciful, You are generous. Thank You for being generous to us; thank You because none of us can deny Your generosity; You have been generous with life; You have been generous with hope; You have been generous with our health; today we can carry ourselves, we were not brought in here this morning, we walked in with our own legs; it’s not by our own power, You made it happen. There are those who cannot carry themselves; I saw someone who was sick and by the time he was to go and pee, he had to be carried, but thank You because we can walk on our legs, glory be to Your name in Jesus name.
Thank You for our past, thank You for our present, thank You for our tomorrow; thank You for January, thank You for the month of February, thank You for March, thank You for April, thank You for May, thank You for the month of June, thank You for all that You did for us in the month of June, thank You for the month of July, thank You because all that You have started You will complete, accept our thanks in the name of Jesus Christ.
Thank You for victory over seen and unseen battles; thank You for rescuing us and delivering us; thank You for the grace to miss bullets; a lot of times stray bullets have flown over our heads without us knowing; a lot of times You have delivered us from sudden death without us knowing; a lot of times (in different ways, in different form) You came to our rescue; Father we give You all the glory, accept our thanks in Jesus name.
Thank You for this glorious month; thank You because it shall be a wonderful one, because we know Lord Almighty God that what You have not done before, You will do for us this month, accept our thanks in the name of Jesus Christ. Father Almighty, as we have come to thank You today, we pray You will accept us; You will accept that thanksgiving that we have brought in the name of Jesus Christ; and Lord Almighty God, in accepting us, You will do more for us and You’ll glorify Your name in our life.
Every inhibition in our life – physical or spiritual, Lord Almighty God, as we express ourselves before You today in celebration, Lord, let every barriers be broken and let the dew of Heaven be released unto us. I pray for all Your children who have been faithful in the payments of their tithes and in the giving of their offerings; You are the One that command that we should bring them, and Lord for those who have been faithful, who have been irrevocably committed, all the promises You have made because You are not a man that will lie, I pray, let them find expression in their lives in the name of Jesus.
Unto them oh God, regardless of where they are, open the windows of heaven unto them; make them a delight; a delightsome land; anoint their head for surplus and for overflow in the name of Jesus. I pray oh God almighty that all through this month of July, that every one of Your children under our control will be anointed with the oil of ease in the name of Jesus; no more hardship; no more trouble; no more heart ache; no more pain; no more anxieties; no more worries in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Let life be fun unto them and make life worth living for them; thank You Father because You have answered, in Jesus wonderful name we have prayed.
We pray You will take control of this service today and You’ll bless everyone in Jesus name. Praise the Lord!
Happy new months to you and good morning; I welcome every one of you with Jesus joy to this glorious assembly today, the Lord will bless you in Jesus name. By the grace of God, this month has been declared as our months of Divine Accomplishments; the text is taken from Philippians 1: 6; the Bible says He that has begun the good work is more than able to complete it, and that was why I prayed for you that every good work that God has started in your life, He will complete in Jesus name.
Yoruba would say our God is ‘o wi be, se be’, (the One that talks and does it); I pray in the name of Jesus, every promise He has made concerning you, He will fulfill in Jesus name.
So let’s run with it: six months has come and gone and God has been faithful; every foundation you have so laid in the course of the last six months, God will help you to finish it up. There shall be no carry over in the mighty name of Jesus, and your own portion will not be given to someone else in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
I have it in my spirit to prophesy over your life, and as I begin to prophesy, begin to receive it because the winds of blessing will blow this month in the mighty name of Jesus; shower of blessing will flow and you will not be passed over in the mighty name of Jesus.
By the grace of God, tomorrow we’ll be having our first ever prayer chain in the month of July, the theme is ‘Help for the Hopeless’; that is to tell you that all hope is not lost, help is around, help is available and God is our help. You know the subject matter of help is ‘inexhaustible’, is ‘boundless’ and has no borders; help will locate you; in the morning help we locate you; in the noontime, help will locate you, and in the evening help will locate you; timely help will come your way; solicited help, you will receive; unsolicited will come your way too in the mighty name of Jesus.
John 1: 1-5, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not”. Never again will darkness have power over your life; I said never again will darkness have any impact over your life and that of your children in Jesus name.
Today very briefly, we’ll be talking on ‘Celebrating the Incomparable One’, in this context and generally, there is only One that is incomparable, but let me start and take one step at a time: to celebrate means to acknowledge; to celebrate means to commemorate; to celebrate means to honor and to celebrate means to worship. While the word ‘incomparable’ means without an equal; in quality, in extent, and of course I can say it without any fear of contradiction, in content.
When you talk about the incomparable, you talk about being matchless; someone or something, and in this case, Someone that is matchless. Incomparable can also be defined as being unable to be compared, something that is totally different, eminent and beyond comparison. So when you talk about the incomparable One, you talk about Someone who is matchless, Someone who is unequal, in quality, in extent, in content, in power and in whatever have you.
Brethren, it is no ruse to say here that our God is greater, stronger and higher than any other. The Bible tells us in Exodus, it says there is none like our God; He is Holy; He is loving; He is gracious and He is the all in all. A songwriter sang about our God describing Him as the way-maker, the miracle worker, promise keeper, mighty healer and Light in darkness.
No wonder Hannah declared whom our God is in such an unmistaken terms in 1st Samuel 2: 2; it says “There is none holy as the Lord: for there is not beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.” I don’t know if that one is in your Bible, it says there is no holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee; He is incomparable, matchless, beyond comparison; it says neither is there any rock like our God and that is the God that we are talking about; He is incomparable.
Moses in his own account in Deuteronomy 33: 26, Moses declared, he said “There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his Excellency on the sky.” There is no one like the God of Jeshurun; I’m sure somebody would want to ask me what Jeshurum? Jeshurun is a Hebrew poetic name for Israel; in other words, Jeshurun is a synonym for Jacob and it means the upright one or the blessed one; and when you study the Bible very well, the name Jeshurun came up four times in the book of Deuteronomy and Isaiah.
Brethren, our God is incomparable and that is why we are here today to celebrate Him, to appreciate Him, to tell Him that Father we are mindful of all that You have done for us. Our God is incomparable in many ways but I will just go through a few for the sake of our time;
Number one: our God is incomparable in love, Romans 5: 8 – 10 is my witness; the Bible says “But God commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”That is unbelievable; while we were yet sinners, He commendeth His love towards us, He did it in advance.
Also in John 15: 13, you will see another manifestation of His love; the Bible says “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” How many of us can do it? Something happened yesterday; you know there have been traffic along the Berger-Ibadan expressway in recent time, and in one of those days, one of those terrible nights, a man was driving his bus, they were stuck in traffic and robbers came, they tapped the glass of the vehicle and they asked the driver to wind down and bring his phone; and the man said that why are you disturbing me, I’m just a driver, oga is at the back, you are not disturbing oga, you are disturbing me. This happened yesterday; why are you disturbing me, I have a palasa phone, oga is here.
Greater love has no man than this, that a man that lays down his life for his friends. There is a proverb in my place, they said ‘we will not because a child will want to die, then we remove his father’s testicle to get him’; it’s not possible; if that one will die, let him die, if the testicle is there, maybe the testicle will provide another one; but that is not the case with our God and that is why He’s matchless, that is why He’s beyond comparison.
God is incomparable in love; the love of God is simply boundless, otherwise how do you explain someone laying down his life for others, and it is the same love of God that provides the basis for our salvation. The Bible tells us in John 3: 16, it says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Let me ask you, how many of you will want to give your life in the change for that of your son? I know we are good parents; hypothetically here we can say yes, but in reality, how many of you? But that was exactly what God has done; so His love is incomparable and for this we must celebrate Him.
Number two: our God is incomparable in mercy. Mercy is compassion, mercy is forgiveness shown towards someone whom it is within his power to punish or harm. When you have the capacity to deal with somebody but you just decide to let go, that is mercy.
God has absolute reason, He has more than enough reason to deal with us decisively, but His mercies always prevail, and that’s why David sang ‘for His mercies endueth forever, amen; for His mercies endureth forever.’
We are products of God’s mercy; Psalm 103: 10 says “He has not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.” It is by His mercy that we are still alive to witness this glorious day. Lamentations 3: 22 says “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassion fails not.”
Let’s have verse 23 and you will enjoy that bit of it; it says “They are new every morning:” the mercies of God are new every morning; as if the mercies for yesterday are not sufficient for today, so they are renewed, they are recharged, they are repackaged, so that on daily basis you have enough measure of mercy.
And in James 2: 13, it says “For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy; (it says) but mercy triumph over judgment”; and Ephesians 2: 4 says “Our God is rich in mercy.”
Number three: our God is incomparable in power, Ephesians 1: 19. Brethren, God’s power is incomparably great; it says “And what is the exceeding greatness of his power towards us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.”
They taught us in biology those days that power is the ability to do things; our God is incomparably great in power; His power is beyond comparison because there is no any other power in heaven or earth that can come anywhere like His. Like God Himself, there is nothing up there on that level that we can say God’s power is like; His power is one of a kind according to Isaiah 40:18, it says “To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will you compare unto him?” Is anyone like Him? Hannah said there is no rock like Him; and Isaiah said to whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare unto Him? There is no one like our God.
Isaiah 40:25 says “To whom then will ye liken me, (God Himself was talking) or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.” I think these are enough reasons for us this morning to thank God from the depths of your hearts regardless of what you think are your challenges, who are you going to compare God with? Who will you equal Him with? He has no equal; and in Matthew 28: 18, He says all power on earth and in heaven has been given unto Me; and Paul says that God’s power is for us who believe, and this for me is amazing and deeply comforting, hence we need to celebrate Him today and always.
The incomparable power of God is on our side and it is by that same great power that we became children of God, John 1: 12 is my witness; it says “He came unto his own but his own received him not; but as many that received him, to them gave he power to become sons of God.” I pray that someone under the influence of my voice will receive power today in Jesus name; fresh power from above, undiluted power for healing, power for deliverance, power for divine manifestation, receive today in Jesus name.
Number four: God is incomparable in grace. Titus 2:11, it says “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, (verse 12) teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world”. The basis for our salvation and sanctification is brought about by the grace of God; it’s not the grace of man, it’s not the grace of a president, it’s not the grace of a king, it’s not by the grace of any of his majesty except the original Majesty, the original Excellency; I pray today in the name of Jesus that someone will come in contact with the grace of God like never before in the name of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is the grace of God to mankind; Jesus is the grace of God in the life of mankind. Believers especially wouldn’t have had any platform at all but for the incomparable grace that Jesus brought to our lives. We are told that it is likewise through the grace of the Lord that individuals; through faith in the atonement of Jesus Christ and repentance of their sin, receives strength and assistance to do good work. In John 1:16, it says “And of his fullness have we all we received, and grace for grace”.
We receive grace for grace enablement, our God is incomparable in grace; and Paul in his own testimony in 1st Corinthians 15: 10, it says “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain”. I pray today that the grace of God upon your life will not be in vain. That’s why if you are here you have not given your life to Christ, you have that grace, the grace is coming to you now through the word and can be very disastrous if it is resisted, so I want to prepare your mind that when the time comes, embrace this grace; He has given us grace for grace and as you receive that grace today, your life will not remain the same in Jesus name.
Then lastly for today, maybe some other time I will be allowed to talk about defense, provisions and all the rest, but time is not on our side; so for the last one today, God is incomparable in battle. Brethren, our God is a mighty warrior according to Psalm 86: 10, the Bible tells us “For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone”. Incomparable! Exodus 15: 3 says “The Lord is a man of war: and the Lord is his name”. He has never lost any battle before; He can fight on the ground, He’s a commander of the infantry battalion in heaven; He can fight in the air, He is the general Marshall in the sky; He can fight in the sea, what the Ocean Gate people cannot do, He can do it.
As a matter of fact, those guys were testing the power of God; you can’t test the power of God and get away with it. When God decided to sink his titanic and you said you wanted to go and see where it is, you want to know what …but God said okay come, you will never come back to give your testimony; we are not rejoicing over them, far from it, but sometimes we need to know to give honor to whom honor is due.
The Bible says the power of God is unsearchable; there are things that people just try to – there used to be a river in my place, some people ganged up and said we want to know the source of that river, they never came back. The Bible said the deep and the secret things belong to God, but the things that are revealed to us are for us and are for our children, let’s make good with the ones that we know, why are we looking for what is not lost? What is your business looking for titanic? Titanic that sank as far back as how many years back, I can’t understand this problem, you know when people become too rich sometimes it becomes problematic.
God is the Rear Admiral or the Admiral in the sea, there is no submarine ship that He cannot operate and that’s why I can assure you your enemies are in trouble. If they try to escape on the ground, they will be killed; if they try to fly, they are in trouble; if they try to go under, the One that sank the titanic is waiting for them, no escape route for your enemies, the Lord will deal with them in the mighty name of Jesus.
Our God is an all-round champion, and today I pray that that same God will prove Himself in your life mightily in Jesus name. Let me tell you this, because I said it, I received that auction to bless and I’m releasing them; every gang-up against you from today will scatter; all the challenges that have been contending with you, this month you will give the testimony of victory; everything taken away from you either forcefully or for whatever reason that belongs to you, this is the season of restoration in the mighty name of Jesus.
The Bible says He will go before you as a mighty warrior and stir up your sea; with effect from today, God will renew your zeal. You know what zeal means, you know you’ll have the urge to go forward, you’ll have the feeling that it is possible, God will renew your zeal in the mighty name of Jesus. That is what Isaiah 42: 13 tells me, it says “The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies”. Every enemy of your life is in a mess in the name of Jesus Christ; God will fight them; the one that needs to be blindfolded, God will blindfold them. Like it happened when they went for Elisha; Elisha said God please blindfold them and he took them to their enemies place; Elisha was a generous man but very tough: you arrested people, you took them to a place, then you now opened their eyes so that they would see, he now said they should give them food; he was a good man, may God bless his soul. I’m sure you that I’m looking at, in fact you would have plucked those eyes out -enemies fall down and die. Elisha gave them food, how many of you would like to give your enemies food? Your enemies will sha’golo for you.
When you go through the Bible, everywhere you see the Lord of hosts in the Bible, God is simply referring to the indomitable power of God, praise the Lord!
In conclusion, there is nothing beyond the control of God’s divine ability and indeed what our God cannot do (according to the saying) does not exist; He is an incomparable game changer.
In Mark 4: 41, the Bible says “And they fear the exceedingly, and said one to another, what manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?” An incomparable game changer; He will change the game in your favor in the name of Jesus.
So today as I close, I want to encourage you all to celebrate Him like never before and it is in doing that that the spirit will be activated to work like never before in your life. However you need to know, you need to be aware that the spirit does not come alive in the life of a sinner until you deliberately appropriate His grace (like I said before) into your life by confessing your sins and forsaking them.
I just want us to bow our heads and worship the Lord; sing a song of your choice to appreciate the Lord; express your appreciation, your gratitude to God for all that He has done for you; but if you are here you have not given your life to Christ, it is time for you to appropriate His grace so that the grace He has so demonstrated, the grace He has so manifested in your life will not be in vain; in Jesus mighty name we have worshiped.
If you are here and you want to say yes Lord, I want to appropriate Your grace, I want Your grace to intervene in my life, I want Your divine intervention, I want Your incomparable power to be made manifest in my life, raise up your hand; this is the moment of renewal, the grace of God is sufficient.
Our Father and our God once again, we want to say thank You; thank You because You are an incomparable God; You are incomparable in love; You are incomparable in mercy; You are incomparable in grace; You are incomparable in power; you are incomparable in battle. We want to thank You because You are our all- round champion, accept our thanks in Jesus name, accept our praises in Jesus name.
Thank You for reaching out to us in a wonderful way today; thank You for stirring us up with Your word; we pray in the name of Jesus that by reason of Your word oh God, that You will eternalize the concept of praise and gratitude in the life of every one of us today in Jesus name. And we ask Lord that the word we have heard today will not work against us on the Day of Judgment in Jesus name. The grace to praise You all the days of our lives, come rain come shine, grant unto us in Jesus name. And every one of us that need to react to the word we have heard today, one way or the other, in the area of pursuit of righteousness and Godliness, give us the grace and the zeal to do the needful in Jesus name.
Bless us like never before and let Your mercy never be aborted in our life; we pray for the word we’ll be hearing very shortly from our father in the Lord, anoint the word again in Jesus name and let it fall on the right side of our heart, in Jesus wonderful name we have prayed.
And the people will say a better amen!
