Let the living in the house shout Halleluyah! I mean those who have the life of God, not pretenders. You know when you have the life of God, you bubble. The Lord will keep you bubbling in Jesus name.
I just want us to bless the almighty God for all He has done for us; for His goodness, for His kindness, for His mercies, for His love, for His grace and for His favor; let’s glorify His holy name, let’s appreciate Him; let’s tell Him Father, we appreciate You.
Oftentimes maybe we are tempted just to take the things God has done for us for granted; like the G.O was telling us this morning that some have food but they cannot eat; you can be rich, have money but yet you may not be able to eat. There are those who cannot visit the toilet, it has happened to me before; I had a procedure that actually made me to stay away from food for one week and I tell you, nothing can be more painful. That was when I realized the thing God has done; that you go to the toilet, you don’t understand.
Whenever I saw people eating, I had to leave the place because it was as if what they were eating would come to my own tummy because of the kind of excruciating pain I was going through, but here you are, how many of you have been to the toilet this morning – either for a minor for major? Praise the Lord!
Like daddy told us today, I’m happy that you can laugh; it’s not everybody that can laugh, they carry the economy of Nigeria situation and put on their heads. Praise the Lord! Laughter will not be taken away from you; joy will not be removed away from you.
I want us to bless God for the mercies of God; the Bible says ‘it’s of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed because of his compassion that faileth not’. Let’s thank God; Father, thank you for your mercy, thank you because it’s your mercy that has made the difference in our lives; is by your mercy that we are not consumed; the enemy was determined to have us, but Lord Almighty God we thank you because you are always ahead of the devil; thank you for making nonsense of the plans and the counsel of the evil one over us and thank you for the victory you have given unto us; blessed be Your name forever oh God, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
The Bible says He that has started the good work is more than able to complete it; the Bible says He’s the author and the finisher of our faith; it’s not restricted to faith alone, is everything He does. The Lord that has brought us into this year will see us through.
So I want you to lift up your hands and tell God; Father, I thank You for what You have done so far, I commit the rest of the journey unto you, Father, make it glorious in the name of Jesus; make it glorious, let it be smooth and safe, let it be more blessed than before in the mighty name of Jesus.
Father, cause what is not enough to become more than enough and let your name be praised forever more in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
There is no gainsaying the fact that realistically speaking, things are going up – inflation, prices of goods, to source for dollars or whatever for those who have needs for dollar either to pay school fees or whatever, it has become a big problem and guess what, our naira has lost its value and you hear the story of woes and other things here, but I read the Bible, the Bible says ‘though a young lion suffers lack and hunger, (it says) but they that wait upon the Lord’, is it in your Bible?
I want you to pray to God and say Father, even if a loaf of bread is going for ₦5,000, give me enough money to buy it in the name of Jesus. Open your mouth and cry unto the Lord; Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that even if a loaf of bread has to go for ₦5,000,000, Father, give us resources to buy in the name of Jesus. I decree that none of your children O Lord Almighty God will suffer lack and be hunger in the name of Jesus; blessed be Your name oh Lord, forevermore in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
As we have spoken in His ears, so shall it be in Jesus name. The mercy of God will prevail in our life in the mighty name of Jesus; the good work He has started He will complete in the mighty name of Jesus; the praise of the Lord will continually be in our mouth in the mighty name of Jesus; whether a loaf of bread goes for ₦5,000 or not, the Lord will provide in the name of Jesus; you will not suffer lack, you will not go to bed hungry in the mighty name of Jesus. God will satisfy your needs, He will meet you at the very points of your needs; He will give you more than enough in the mighty name of Jesus.
You will not be in the state of pity; you will be in a state of envy in the mighty name of Jesus. Instead of being pitied you’ll be envied in the mighty name of Jesus. My God will make way for you; your economy will blossom more than ever before in the mighty name of Jesus. God will be the lifter of your head and everywhere you turn, beginning from now, doors will be open unto you in Jesus name.
Because you are a carrier of grace, the grace of God will announce you in the mighty name of Jesus and it shall be well with you; I pray for all of you that have been faithful in the payments of your tithes and the giving of your offering, in blessing according to the word of God, the Lord will bless you in Jesus name; He will open the windows of heaven and He will release His blessing upon you in Jesus name.
You will not eat leftovers; you will not feed on pawns in the mighty name of Jesus. You will dwell in abundance; your cup will run over in the mighty name of Jesus. In the presence of your enemies you will eat and you will be full, and above all, in the kingdom of God you will not be found wanting; blessed be the name of the Lord forever in Jesus wonderful name we have prayed.
November is our month of turnaround; everything will work in our favor in the mighty name of Jesus. Everywhere you go, grace will announce you; favor will speak for you and you will dwell in abundance.
(I don’t pray so) but if a dollar will go for more than what it is today, my prayer is that you will have enough to buy in the name of Jesus and God will have mercy on our nation. God bless you.
Is our month of divine turnaround; we’ve seen enough of crisis; we’ve had enough of very unsettling narratives and the truth of the matter today is that even to travel between here and Ibadan comes with a lot of fear. When on the street of Lagos, people have been kidnapped; I’ve read two cases – one in Ikeja, Simbiat road, a man was kidnapped around 10 am not 10 pm; we heard of some other issues but that notwithstanding, whether naira is 900 or 1000 to a dollar, you will not beg for food; you will not run for cover; those of you that are ja-ing; somebody came to me, sir, I’m going; I said ah; I’m telling you what happened on Wednesday, he said I had to go, I said but why do you want to go? He quickly reminded me of one thing I told him some years back that it is when you are young that you can afford to get your fingers burnt; when you get your fingers burnt at some age, nobody cares, because it will heal and the scar will get covered with time but if you sustain injury at this age, the scar, it’s only God that can take it away because there is nothing He cannot do but traditionally, it takes time for scars or wound sustained at a particular age to go.
So he reminded me and I said okay, it’s nice, you remind me what I said, I am not God but again I conceit to what I said. He said I’m still young and I said the Lord will go with you; and I challenged a friend of mine that just came back and since he came back he would not allow us to rest, ‘I’m tired of this country, no light. no this one, noise is too much’, and I asked where were you born? He told me he was born here; where did you school? He said he schooled here; how much tax have you paid this year? And that was where the argument ended.
Many of us we pay tithes; I pay my tithe; don’t go out and say your pastor says you should pay tithe, how many of you pay tax? We want to hold the government responsible but the question is that are we performing our own obligations?
Government needs money to fix our road; fortunately I’m not a senator but I’m better than some of the senators and that is just the truth. I don’t want to generalize, I’m not a member of House of rep – those they call honorable, but we are more honorable than a lot of them. Some of them are crooks and I have no apology for that; crooks in the real sense of it.
I have friends and when they tell you what some of them are doing and on Sunday they come, we give them front row to sit down, there will be judgment. Some of them are crooks, so I don’t belong to that; I’m not a special advisor to any governor, neither am I a Special Assistant to any president, so I’m speaking from the point of view of what should be done.
We pay our tithes, very good; you pay, I pay, it’s a commandment for us to pay but how many of us pay tax? Payee; Corporate income; Capital gain tax; when we sell properties withholding tax, how many of us are paying? Yet we want light, value added, we want light, we want water, he who comes to equity must come with clean hands.
A lot of times we come here sanctimoniously, we criticize the government, we do this we do that but are we actually living up to expectation? And like I told them in the morning, where do we get leaders from? We get leaders from amongst us. The new set of leaders will come from many among us but why is it that successive government, successive people have not been able to make any desire impacts?
So I think all of us should sit down and begin to think, and we should be more careful about who we vote for; don’t be driven by sentiment; he’s from my town; he’s from my clan; we have seen that and we have suffered, the time has come for us to stand. Many of us will come and pray ‘God change our nation, God change our nation’, is God coming here to vote? How many of you are going to vote? If you are going to vote, raise up your hand. How many of you have your PVC? You see now, but we’ll come here ‘God heal our nation; God change our nation’, is God coming to thumbprint for us?
We cannot do the same thing the same way and expect a different result, don’t be deceived. Today I know I’ve been stepping on toes, some people will say what is he talking about, but I think we need to confront ourselves with some of these issues so that we go back home and reflect on them in order to become a better person.
If you don’t vote, you have no right to complain; if you don’t vote – because it’s your civic responsibility; to vote is your right, and necessity is placed on you, the moment you don’t exercise it, you have lost the right to complain because if you miss it, I miss it, that one miss it, it’s a minus; at the end of the day, those who come out to vote either on account of ₦5,000 cash or olodo rice; because of rice, in some cases they package salt, insult.
Stomach infrastructure which will not last one day, you mortgage your future in the next four years and within that period of four years, they’ve stashed enough fund again to pave their way through for the second term.
Look, we have to be deliberate if we want to change this country. Nehemiah in his days, he was fighting physically and he was praying, not that every day you are going to pray, meanwhile what we are supposed to do, we are not doing it. May God have mercy in Jesus name. Enough they say, is for the wise.
I pray for you in advance that beginning from this moment, you will rise above your situation; the calmer of storms will calm every storm raging in your life in the name of Jesus, and peace shall be restored to you in Jesus name.
Psalm 95: 1-11, we’ll read very quickly; ‘Oh come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise unto the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
In his hands are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. The sea is His, and He made it: and His hands formed the dry land. O come, let us worship I bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God; and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today if you will hear His voice:
Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness, when your fathers attempted Me, proved Me and saw My work.
Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, it is a people that do err in their hearts, (they have the tendency to err in their heart) and they have not known my ways. Unto whom I swore in my wrath that they should not enter into My rest’.
My prayer for every one of you under the influence of my voice today is that if there be any one of us that harbors a stony heart, God will soften it from today in Jesus name, and whatever that may be in our life individually and collectively as a people, and of course as a church and as a nation that will not allow God’s blessings to be released upon us, my prayer today is that God will take it away in Jesus name.
The title of this exhortation (like I shared with them in the morning) is simply ‘A call to worship’, and I told them in the morning that a call to worship is a call to obedience, and this is so because we are created to declare the praise of God; we are made, we are formed to do what to declare the praise of God and 1st Peter 2:9 is a witness, it says, ‘But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light’.
One of the basic reasons that we are redeemed is simply to declare the praise of the almighty God; we are not redeemed to declare praise of man, no not at all; we are not redeemed to declare the praise of a president, no not at all; we are formed, we are redeemed, we are called, we are chosen to declare the praise of the One who has redeemed us; the One that encountered us and of course God catapulted us from the regime of darkness, from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of life; the core kingdom of His beloved Son.
A call to worship, I told them in the morning, is a call unto rest, and this is so because our rest and our peace lie in our obedience to God’s words and commandments. In Isaiah 1:19, it says, ‘If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the fruits of the land’. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the fruits of the land and the Promised Land is a picture of God’s ultimate rest.
When you talk about God’s ultimate rest, you talk about the Promised Land and to get to that Promised Land, you must walk the path of obedience, and for you to walk the path of obedience, you must answer the call to worship. It is my prayer today that as we offer our worship, as we offer our praise to God, they will find acceptance, they will find approval in the name of Jesus Christ.
A hardened heart as captured in our scripture is as useless as a hardened log of clay or a hardened loaf of bread. A hardened heart is a heart that is made up; a hardened heart is a stubborn heart and from that scripture, the Bible says that the children of Israel at that time should learn from their fathers who exhibited a kind of a hardened heart, they tempted God and of course they saw what God was made of.
He cautioned them that you cannot tempt God; you cannot develop a harden heart and expect to enter into the rest of God. Once again I pray this morning that in every area that we have been tempting God, in every area that we have not been yielding to God, as God is telling us go this way, do it this way, behave this way but we feel that we are so full of ourselves, we know too much and we can do and undo; I pray that today, mercy will cover for us in the name of Jesus Christ.
I told them in the morning that a harden heart is like a bread that harmattan has done serious justice on; how many of you have seen such a bread before? Just pray that they don’t hit you with that kind of bread, is worse than being hit with a stone because a hardened bread, there is nothing you can do, you will just see it like this and it’s useless, you can even sit on it because it’s as hard as anything; even when you sit on it, you will not be comfortable because usually once it is hard, it is useless; it’s like a log of clay.
Like our daddy was telling us this morning, he gave a testimony of a man that was sick and they’ve tried everything, the doctor just said look, let us open him, let’s do a kind of exploratory procedure and they did; they saw that the liver has turned to stone and they just covered it and they said, look, you may have to go home because your case has gone beyond redemption. That is a hardened heart.
I pray once again; because the hardened heart will rationalize the word of God; the hardened heart will despair the word of God; it doesn’t matter how much you show the word, a hardened heart will begin to tell you, no, you cannot work this way, it doesn’t work this way and at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how much of it he heard, he profits him not.
I pray in the mighty name of Jesus that whatever that will not allow the word of God to profit you, God will take away from your life in Jesus name.
The psalmist warned against hardening our heart as Israel did in the wilderness by continuing (like I said) to do exactly what God did not want them to do; they also refused to declare the praise of God. You’ll find that in Exodus 17:7, (we are not going to read); then Numbers 20:1-13 numbers.
You see the children of Israel, they were so convinced that God could not deliver them that they simply lost their faith in God and I ask this question; have you lost your faith? Help me ask your neighbor, have you lost your faith? Today, it is my prayer that you will recover it if you have lost it in Jesus name.
Now when a man’s heart becomes hardened, that person is so stubbornly set in his ways that he or she finds it difficult to turn to God and like I said, it does not happen overnight; it’s a build up; it’s a cumulative thing; the thing will start coming and it happens by the set of choices or the series of choices that we make and if you resist God long enough, God may just brush you aside like a hardened heart or a hardened bread that is useless and worthless; but I pray for you that whatever it is that you have done, God will overlook it in Jesus name.
The Bible says mercy triumph over judgment. The mercy of God will supersede judgment in your life in the name of Jesus.
Therefore I would like to encourage you this morning to be mindful of those little forces that hinder us from enjoying the benefits of God on a continuous basis. There are forces, I will share about four or five of them very quickly because of our time; number one is ungratefulness: Psalm 95:2; it says, ‘Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms’.
Brethren, God is counting on our praise. Amen. God is counting on your praise and therefore you must cultivate the habit of coming to His presence with thanksgiving and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms. So let those who are in the house and those who are under the influence of my voice make a joyful noise unto the Lord.
When God says come, and make a joyful noise, (I said it in the morning), I said it appears God is jealous of His praise; and you know the way we give praise to people these days, it’s so much that sometimes a lot of people have gone gaga just by the level of praise that people give to them.
You will see social media; people will rent a house, they will snap it and they will say they just bought it; people will buy a tokunbo car and they will say we’ve just bought a brand new car and everybody will be hailing. And meanwhile most times, it’s a fake but because they see (maybe the previous day) somebody who did it and they saw the amount of praises and applaud that he or she got and they want to do their own.
A young lady some years back snapped a man’s house and put it on the internet, I think that thing became a serious matter and the man saw it on IG, this is my house now and I’ve not sold this house and of course the lady was taken to court. That is what is happening in our time and that’s why I want to beg you today, don’t get carried away by what you see on social media. Amen.
You know I have to tell you the truth; don’t get carried away by what you see on social media; all that glitter is not gold. In fact me, I started running away from social media long time ago when this idea of ordering for items came into effect; I saw a beautiful slippers – leather slippers, this is a beautiful one, I ordered for it and I paid; when they delivered it, I said no, this is not what I ordered for, and since that time, as a local boy when I see social media, the thing is shining, I’m running. It’s not a joke. In Nigeria; if I travel abroad, I ordered because what you see there is what you get but here, okay, praise the Lord!
How many of you understand what I’m talking about? You know it. So it’s not everything you see on social media. In fact I saw one of the thespians, they dressed as if there was a wedding and I thought they had married and I was saying in my spirit, thank God this guy got married. He and that lady have been playing, only for me to get to know afterwards, they said there was no marriage; I said haha, but what about that one? They said it was a social media creation.
What social media cannot do, (don’t say) it does not exist.
God is jealous of our praise and we must be very careful of those we praise. Amen. Men will throw themselves at you so that you’ll praise them; women will throw themselves at you so that you’ll praise them; even sometimes your children, they’ll want you to praise them; you will hear daddy, you are not even clapping for me and I used to hear, what have you done that I’ll clap for you? What have you done that eyes have not seen before?
Unconsciously, there is entitlement in our contemporary environment, so much entitlement. Everybody is craving for praise, even men of God are not left out, and meanwhile it is the grace of God; everything a man does is all by grace; it is not by righteousness; it is not by work or righteousness but by His grace alone; we are complete in Him.
We are complete in Him who is the head of principalities and powers; our completeness is in God. If you pray and God answers, is God; if you decree and is established, is God; it’s not by work or righteousness, is all by the grace. It’s only God that deserve our praise.
Another force is resistance to worship or lack of submission. Psalm 95: 6, it says, ‘Let us come and worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker’. When you bow or you kneel, is a sign of surrender, submission.
When we were much younger, we were trained, as a man you bow down when you greet your elders; as a woman, you kneel down before your elders or your husband in particular; if I go to that area now, there will be serious problem. Amen. But let me fish in trouble water a little bit; you kneel down, but whether male or female when you come before God, you kneel down.
When a man kneels before a man, is a trial by ordeal. What you should do as this is to prostrate but after that you stand up; but if you have to kneel perpetually as a man, it’s a trial by ordeal, but God is saying here you kneel before your Maker but if you kneel down for 10 hours praying, you are doing the right thing; you are just telling God, over to you; I’m Yours; I cannot share it, I am Yours.
It said ‘…and bow down and let us kneel before the Lord our Maker’. Especially for a man, please mark my word so that I will not be taken out of context; a woman can kneel before the husband; you can kneel down before your father or your mother (as the case may be), but as a man those days, in fact they would tell you no, don’t kneel down; as a man we were trained to prostrate.
Number three; hardened heart, we must get rid of it. The psalmist warns us to desist from hardened heart. Hardened heartedness will for sure not allow us to have the best of God’s blessings and privileges.
In Hebrew 4:5-11, we are further encouraged to avoid hardened heart and also reject the glamour of sin and anything else that may lead us away from God.
And number four; you must kill doubt, amen. Trusting God is a vital part of our relationship with Him and why? He knows it all; He is the one that can fix it all.
I told them in the morning; if you get the man that made this chair, if there is a problem with this chair, he’s in the best position to correct and to fix it; and I pray today in the name of Jesus, everything that is broken in your life, God will fix in Jesus name.
Proverbs 3:5 & 6; it says, ‘Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding’. How then do we strengthen our faith for those of you who might have lost it?
Number one; Trust. Trust God; Proverbs 125:1 and of course that Proverbs 3:5.
Pray. Jesus started with prayer and He ended with prayer. Somebody said prayer is not the only Master key and I agree because you also need the Word, especially to pray correctly. You have to pray and I cited the story in Mark 9:24; this morning Jesus Christ had just arrived; he had just returned from the Mount of Transfiguration and he saw a commotion amidst His disciples and some people, a brought his son and they could not do anything and Jesus Christ said look, how long will I be with you? If you believe all things are possible, the father of the boy said Lord, I believe oh, help my unbelief.
You see sometimes you may think that you have faith but your faith may not be strong enough, so how do you pray effectiveness into your faith? Is by asking God, help my unbelief and God hears and answers prayers.
The Bible tells us that men ought to pray and not to faint and of course in 1st Thessalonians 5:16&17, it says ‘Pray without ceasing’. God will hear your prayers in Jesus name.
Then you need the word of God; the Bible says faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God, Romans 6:17 and Psalm 119:105, the Bible tells us – David said ‘Forever Your word is what is settled’.
I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that God Almighty will settle His word in your life in Jesus name.
And of course number next; you need to live out the word. Simply apply the knowledge of the word to your daily walk with God and God will surely deepen our relationship and consequently our faith will be enhanced.
And of course lastly; be the light. Mark 11:25; be the light. The Bible tells us in Matthew 5:16, it says ‘We are the light of the world; go there, show the light’, and the Lord Almighty will keep you shining and keep you shining and shining and shining until the perfect day according to His words in Jesus name.
Shall we rise on our feet; how many of us are ready to praise Him this morning? You want to dance? You want to praise? You want to answer the divine call to worship? Then you have to be intentional about it. Worship is a deliberate thing; you must make up your mind because there are no two ways to it; is either we do it in order to fulfill destiny or we decline the call and face the consequences.
However, no sinner can actually praise God without an encounter, he might join others to do it but he cannot be deliberate about it and the Bible tells us very clearly that the sacrifice of a sinner is an abomination; some other versions say is detestable to God and Proverbs 21:27 says, ‘…Even more so when he brings it with a wrong motive’, because some people will come to say, ‘Father bless me, bless me so that when you will bless me, den go take in my village; den go take; won ma gba; I will show them; that’s a wrong motive because God has not blessed you so that awon eeyan kan a gba (some people will marvel), what for? God has given us everything (like our daddy said today) so that we can be a blessing unto others. That is pure and simple.
How much of our income do we spend? How many of us today spend 10% of our income on ourselves? That is just for the blessings of others. I pray that you reap the fruits of your labor in Jesus name.
So as we bow down our heads and begin to thank God for this wonderful session, also if you are here and you have not given your life to Christ, I want to encourage you to make the most of this opportunity this morning, I want you to cry unto the Lord; Father, have mercy on me; I’m a sinner, I have tried to live above sin but I’ve not been able to help myself; I need Your help because I know when You help a man, that man is strengthened for life. Father, I want to be strengthened for life; I want to be backed up for life; I want forgiveness for all my shortcomings.
So if you pray this prayer wherever you are, can you please raise up your hand very quickly, we want to close this chapter. God bless you, come forward; the
Lord has brought you here today so that He will encounter you and turn your life around, we want to say Lord, I cannot help myself and truly nobody can help himself; even no pastor can help himself; anybody telling you he can help himself is a lie.
The Bible says ‘…give us help in trouble for vain is the help of man’, Psalm 62:11. So if you are there you want to say yes Lord, help me Lord, help me Lord, help me; I want my sins to be forgiven; please raise up your hand wherever you are.
[Prayer] Father in heaven we want to say thank You; thank You because the entrance of your word giveth life, accept our thanks in the name of Jesus Christ.
Thank you Father Almighty God for the genuine call to worship you, and thank You for the grace You have given unto us Lord today, as many of us that are here and those who are listening to us online to be part of this glorious occasion, we ask Lord Almighty that by reason of our answer to your call, may we all experience divine visitation in Jesus name.
Lord Almighty God, is a season of a great turnaround, we pray God that you will turn around our lives; you will turn the situation of our life around for better in Jesus name. Send Your rain upon us; the rain of blessing; the rain of healing; the rain of promotion; the rain of advancement; the rain of fulfillment; Father let it be sure in the name of Jesus Christ.
We pray Lord that all those forces; ungratefulness, hardened heart, doubt and all the rest of them Father Almighty God that have been hindering the full blown of Your grace and Your glory in our lives, Father take away in the name of Jesus Christ. Bless us Lord and as we have come today to worship, accept that which we have brought in the name of Jesus, and accept us as well, thank You for everything; we pray at the end of everything today that we shall have cause to glorify your name in Jesus wonderful name we have prayed.
Praise the Lord!
Praise the living Jesus!
