Hallelujah! Please let us lift up our hands to God and just worship Him; He’s the only One that is worthy to be praised, God is the great Father, dependable Father, reliable Father, forgiving Father, ever-giving Father, He’s a compassionate Father, just give it to Him.
Let’s worship and adore the name of the Lord. Father, we give You glory, what a mighty God that we serve, what a dependable and reliable God. Oh, we worship You Lord Jesus Christ, we magnify You Lord, we thank You for all that You have done, what You are doing; in the name above every other name, we say thank You, blessed be Your holy name, our Father. Thank You heavenly Father, in Jesus mighty name we have worshipped.
Put your hand on your chest and say my Father, reate a new heart in me, renew my heart and let me know You anew, draw me closer to Yourself. Declare that in the name of Jesus. Create a new heart, oh God, let my old heart be renewed in the name of Jesus, let me know You deeper, let me serve You in a manner that will bring glory to Your name in the name of Jesus.
You desire my worship, You commanded my worship and I pray my Father, that You will help all of us in the name of Jesus Christ. Father, old anointing will not do, we need a renewed one, oh God, this is the time, oh Lord of heaven, of the blessedness of the renewal, renew Lord, renew our heart, renew our lives and let Your name be glorified. Thank You my Father, blessed be Your holy name, in Jesus mighty name we prayed.
And pray finally, you are going to say my Father, in the land of the living I will please You in the name of Jesus. Give me the grace to please You all the day long, give me the grace, King of glory, to walk in Your will, to walk in Your power, to walk with You in the name of Jesus Christ. Give me the grace my Father, give all of us the grace. Thank You Father God, in Jesus mighty name we prayed.
Wonderful Father, we magnify Your name, You are the only One that is worthy, worthy to be praised; every man at their best we are dust, it’s only Your Spirit that quickened our hearts, we say thank You to You. Thank You that we are alive and we are still with You; Lord, our father in the house, said today is the 27th of the seventh month in this year, only You can sustain hitherto and we are not taking it for granted, Lord, we say thank You, please accept our thanks in the name of Jesus.
Lord, we are here today to worship You and because there are presents in the presence of God, presents for everyone who present themselves in the presence of the Lord, and as we have come to worship today, the blessings and the present that is in Your presence, gift of healing, spirituality and many other things, let it be given to everyone in the name of Jesus.
Those who came in sick, let healing come over them in Jesus name. Everyone who is discouraged and down, let the Spirit of the Lord lift them up in the name of Jesus. Everyone who is hard up and they don’t know what to do next, let the light of God shine on their part in the name of Jesus. Those who are lonely, let the encouraging word that cannot fail, ‘I will never leave you alone’ be real to them in the name of Jesus. Everyone trusting You for life suitor, everyone trusting You for fruit of the womb, everyone trusting You for deep spiritual work, trusting You for enlargement, trusting You to make it in their academic and in their career, today Lord, actual and virtual, let all needs be met in the name of Jesus.
Our father and our mommy in the house here, we ask that glory will never cease upon their lives. You will move them from one level of glory to another, even if the church and the people in the house doesn’t echo amen, do it all the same, and please, we ask of You, Lord, that in life and destiny, the purpose of our existence will be fulfilled in the name of Jesus. We will not miss it, we will make it; we will not be abandoned, we will be accepted; we will not be denied, we will be invited with honor in the name of Jesus.
Our pains of now will become pleasure in the name of Jesus; our problem of now will become promotion in the name of Jesus. Our frustration will become manifestation, obstacle will become a miracle, test will turn to testimony in the name of Jesus. And we pray that all the prayer that have been put forward today, King of glory, You will answer all. This fellow that has been having consistent nightmare, because You are here today, we declare by the authority in the name of the Lord Jesus, that nightmare ceases in the name of Jesus. Thank You Father.
Lord, it’s a distant time I’ve been here and I came here to represent You, please, the word You had parted in my heart by the reason of what is being treated this month, please take over in the name of Jesus. Make the word simple but let the simplicity oh God convey the real message. We thank You our Father, blessed be Your holy name, in Jesus mighty name we prayed.
I want to appreciate God for the opportunity that God has given me to be here again in the house, I want to thank our father in the Lord and our mommy in the Lord, and I’m not making it up, I really mean it for our papa and mama, they said you don’t throw a proverbs in the presence of elders but in my place they told me, t’omo eniyan be gbe’gun, olowo ori mi, oko iya mi ni won n pe, so thank you very much for what you are doing for our generation and mommy, the Lord will continue to keep you, the color of your anointing will never fade, it doesn’t matter what happens in life, you will get to the topmost top, God’s favor will be your clothes, any evil finger pointed at you, the hand will be cut off.
Everyone that wish you joy, they will have multiple joy; anyone that wish you evil, we back it to sender and the Lord will be with you; and I wish the same for all my leaders on the altar, God bless you, sir and ma. My biological father told me when you are greeting your leader, remove your cap and bow. I remove my cap and I bow, the Lord will bless you in Jesus name.
Psalm 51:10, create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me, the Lord bless the reading and hearing of His word in the name of Jesus. The
Blessedness of Renewal, we are living in the time where human hearts grow weary and spiritual fervency is replaced with fatigue, compromise and complacency, yet God calls every one of us who belongs to Him not only to receive miracle – to receive miracle is very simple for God to do, but God also desires something from us, God calls His people to revival, He wants us to be refreshed, He wants us to be revived and He wants us to be restored to the original design.
So when we talk about renewal, it’s not just a necessity, it is a blessing, it is a divine reset that aligns us back to God and aligns us back to God’s perfect will. David the man of God said create in me a clean heart, oh God, and renew a right spirit within me; the heartfelt prayer of David is that he might have a renewal, an inner transformation, he was crying from the death of sins for a restoration. And may I say to you sir and ma, renewal is a must, even believers sometimes can drift spiritually, no created thing stand by itself.
Charles Spurgeon says our heart sometimes deteriorate without God’s sustaining grace, so David plead in Psalm 51:10, what he said to us there, he’s talking to us that sometimes sin can stain people’s heart, only God can wash and renew it. In 2 Corinthians 5:17, the word of the Lord says if any man therefore is in Christ, is a new creature, old things are passed away – a divine transformation, new creation is more than forgiveness, it is a rebirth of a spiritual life. In Romans 12:2, it says, be ye transformed by the renewing of your heart.
Renewal is not just emotional, it is reset of our thinking to God’s truth. In Ephesians 4: 22- 24, I paraphrase, it says, put on the old self, be made new in the attitude of your mind, put on a new self, a step by step of radical identity shift through renewal of the spirit. In Isaiah 40:31 that those who wait upon the Lord will get their strength renewed.
So renewal brings supernatural power and to persevere. In Titus 3:5, it says he saves us through the washing of rebirth and renewal of the spirit. Spirit is the agent of transformation; when Hosea was talking in Hosea 6:1 – 2 and Psalm 85: 4-7, now I paraphrase, he said God will bind us up our wounds, He will revive us and He will restore us, so the path from brokenness to revival and joy is in His presence.
What is a renewal? To make new again. What is a renewal? To replace the worn out. What is a renewal? To restore vigor, vitality, and spiritual freshness, and when you talk about spiritual renewal, it is a divine process by which God revitalizes the hearts, restores spiritual passion and rekindle fire of devotion. In Psalm 85:6, it says, wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? When I was reading, checking from the original translation, I went to look at the Greek interpretation of renew and I saw what they call anakainosis, it means renovation, complete transformation like remodeling a house, very important.
Let me now go into few things I need to say; what are the reasons for renewal? I will mention five; number one, there are spiritual declining among many believers. There are believers today who tell lies and they don’t wink the eyes, even my background doesn’t help us, somebody is going, he would say I’m coming; I don’t know where we got it from because there are certain lies that have become the order of the day. Like three square meal, three is not square, three is triangle, there are many things that are lies but have become the order of the day.
There is a spiritual declining among many believers; sin and worldliness have eroded the spiritual sensitivity of many believers. In the Book of Revelation 2: 4 – 5, (you can read on your own), the Bible says I have somewhat against thee, because you have left your first love; David cried out in that Psalm 51: 10 – 12, for renewal after falling into sin. There are people today, believers, tongue talkers, they do certain things that are demonic and devilish and sinful but it never makes any sense to them, it’s part of Nigerian culture but remember Nigerian culture is not heavenly culture.
Number two, what are the reasons for renewal? Many believers are battle fatigues, they are purely tired; they bind, lose, they have done everything, seem that there is no result, you know, serving, praying, enduring trial can leave believers worn out, that’s why in the Book of Isaiah 40:29-31, we are encouraged to wait for the Lord to get our lives renewed.
In the Book of 1st Kings 18:38, a man called Elijah called down fire; but in the Book of 1st Kings 19: 4 – 8, yesterday he called down fire, but today in 1st Kings 19: 4 -8, he told the Lord, kill me, my life is not better, and many believers are worn out. Church, Holy Ghost service, miracle service, teaching service, there is a need to renew because many believers are purely tired.
Number three, many have lost their first love, many have lost their intimacy. There are people now, their morning devotion is (speaking in tongues) ‘darling, is my food ready?’ When intimacy with God is replaced with routine religion; in the Book of Revelation 2:4, nevertheless, I have somewhat against thee, because thou has left your first love.
Renewal – re-ignite passion for Christ, when last have you evangelized? When last have you owned up? You are not ashamed to be a Christian. When last have you been courageous enough to declare boldly ‘I cannot join what you are doing’? Daniel said in the Book of Daniel 1: 8, he proposed in his heart that he will not defile himself with the meal of the king and he stood, three Hebrews, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego; in that popular passage of Daniel 3: 16-21, they stood, we will not bow.
There are many people who have compromised, in fact, if Nigeria will change, it has to be from the church. People don’t worship God now, they worship money. Sometime as a young person, (I’m still a very young person, I’m going to 67 now), but when we were growing up, there were things that were working and there is no much money, we didn’t have oil, we didn’t have nothing at that time, it was cocoa, groundnut and all the things, so I keep wondering, where is your first love? Some people will get to hotel and use the towel that they use to clean the body to, he said I want to spend part of my money, they say it’s a government property, they will refix it, where is your first love?
Number four reason why you need a renewal, you need to walk in newness of life, you need a renewal to walk in newness of life. Renewal empowers people to live righteously, Romans 6: 4, but Ephesians 4:24 says that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Our minds are transformed to discern God’s will, beloved, don’t let just come for miracle, miracle is good, miracle is part and parcel of children of God, but let’s fulfill our obligation to the mighty God, let’s fulfill it in our community we live, let’s do it everywhere we are, let there be that uniqueness in our life. We were told in the Book of the Bible in Daniel 6:3 that excellent spirit was upon him; don’t just do it; today, ask a plumber to come and fix the thing in your house, he will use fake and you will not see them again; tell a carpenter to make you – please, let there be newness, let salvation touch your performance, let people know that you are part of the people that are pushing the kingdom.
And number five, the reason why we need renewal, to fulfill destiny. There’s a need for renewal, without renewal, many faint before their purpose is realized. In Galatians 6: 9, I like that particular passage, and let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season, we shall read, if we faint not.
Renewal position us to see with clarity and run with strength; in Habakkuk 2: 2, when they said we’ll talk about the blessedness of renewal, I said well, you are the one who asks for teaching, otherwise I just shout here and receive your miracle and go; now he says, and the Lord answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. Renewal positions us to see clearly where we are going.
The other day my father asked me to go and pray for somebody, from the gate, marble, when we entered inside, I said I’ve not been to heaven but this is like heaven, but the man wasn’t healthy; with my three-piece suit I was sweating, I was feeling chilly, but he wore something casual and he was sweating profusely – fulfillment of life. You are here for few years, if you praise there, if I praise there, I will die, if I curse there, I will die, it’s an appointment, so why would I not use this short life I have to serve Him?
What are the obstacles to renewal? Number one, pride and self-sufficiency. Thank God for what you have achieved but you are not the only one who achieved it, is by the grace of God. In James 4:6, God resists the proud, humility is the gateway to renewal.
The Laodicean church thought they had no need, read that in Revelation 3:17 – 18, we have no need, we are okay, there’s nothing I have that God has not given to me, there’s nothing you have that God has not given. Your beauty, your handsomeness, your physique, your good houses, your children, your wife, your work, everything is a gift, even kings, they came here to the world naked and they cry in my mother tongues both white and black, they cry in my mother tongue, you know how they cry? Mo’a, mo’a, ihoho mo’a, he said I have come, naked did I come; anything you have achieved, God is the One.
Number two obstacle to renewal, un-confessed sin and un-forgiveness (if you allow me to say that). Sins separate us from God, Isaiah 59:1-2, God is near, God’s ear is open, His hand is long to take, but sins separate people from God. In Colossians 3:13, it says we should forgive others, there are people who are not forgivable, you are thinking of forgiving them, they do something worse, they are like the brother of Peter.
Peter went to Jesus, the other day You are talking about forgiveness, my brother offended me seven time, Jesus said I didn’t say seven time, 70 times seven times; ah, Peter said even a lunatic cannot offend you as much in one day. You are forgiving people not because of them, because of you, and if you have any sin in your life, confess to Him. 1st John 1: 9 says if we confess, own up, its your life; David got renewal after he confessed his sin, and David renewals started with repentance. You will read the entire chapter or Psalm 51: 1-10.
Number three obstacle to renewal, spiritual apathy, lukewarmness, weariness, it’s okay, God is not as hard as that. In Revelation 3:16, we are told there, lukewarmness quench revival; so then thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Many are satisfied with religion not relationship, are you related to Christ? Does He know you? Have you heard Him this morning? Did you hear from Him to take the decision you took yesterday, day before yesterday? Why are you blaming Him?
Number four obstacle, fear of change. Now, renewal often requires surrender and let go of the old. In Mark 2:22, no man putteth new wine into the old bottles, and when we talk about change, change is inevitable, if you don’t change, change will change you, so change, husband change. I don’t know why my wife is not respecting me because man needs respect, but how much of love do you show to your wife? Because the nature of man, this selfish nature of every man and you know I’m a man like those of our brothers here, I don’t know why things are like that.
Since you came to this house today, many of you have never laughed to anyone, you just look straight, these people didn’t know people have problem, I only come here so that God can answer my prayer, let them do what they want to do, they don’t know, oh, they don’t know what I’m going through, there’s nothing you are going through that is not common, there’s nothing new under the sun, change. Some resist change; any day, change will threaten your comfort, it will move you from your comfort zone.
Number five, neglect of spiritual discipline. Convention is coming, when we ask people to fast, ah they don’t know I have ulcer, ah, they don’t know I have this, try now, if you can’t fast till 12, fast till 9, if you can’t fast till 3, fast till 12, if you can’t fast till 6, do it, do it for 3, 3:00, just try. Martin Luther Jr. said if you can’t fly, run; if you can’t run, walk; if you can’t walk, crawl; if you can’t crawl, by any means, keep moving. Some people are dry, Act of the Apostles 3: 19 – 20.
Let me quickly mention (within the time I have) the blessedness or the blessing of renewal, I will mention them, I may not be able to discuss them;
Number one is restoration of joy and strength. In Nehemiah 8:10, it says the joy of the Lord is my strength; in that Psalm 51:12, when David regained his forgiveness, joy came through renewal.
Number two blessing when you are renewed, your purpose is clarified – clarity of purpose. Renewal aligns us with God’s will and vision, there is a configuration about you, you didn’t drop just to do your will. In the Book of Jeremiah 1:5, God created you, He knew you before you entered your mother’s womb and you are ordained for a purpose, but without renewal you will be walking about as an aimless person.
This has nothing to do with money, there are many people who have money but they are frustrated, well educated, frustrated, well positioned, frustrated, so renewal will clarify your purpose. Romans 12:2, I quoted earlier on, Habakkuk 2:2, I quoted earlier on.
Number three, fresh anointing and power. In Acts 4:31, now renewed believer walk in fresh grace and divine empowerment; when you are renewed you walk in a very powerful way. In Isaiah 61: 1-3, it talks about how you need to go and move.
What is the blessing number four? Spiritual fruitfulness. May I ask you, don’t answer, but answer in your heart, how many people have you won in the last one year to Christ? Let’s forget about winning, how many people have you talked to about Christ? Spiritual fruitfulness. And we are saved to serve, we are kept alive to serve, whatever I am given is to serve the Lord. Renewal produces fruit that endures; Jesus mentioned in John 15:4-5, He talks about how you bear fruit.
Number five blessing, revival in the church. Today, many are using God, ‘is a fire we fall’, one evangelist, fire is coming from his mouth, he’s coming to Christ the Lord’s parish and you see, he can prophesy and you will see fire like this, go there. Many people are God’s users, some people are husband users, wife users, child user, they use people but when renewal comes, there’s a revival, individual renewal sparks corporate revival. 2 Chronicles 7:14, and when the Holy Spirit came in that Acts of the Apostles 2: 1-4, there was a renewal.
Number six, peace and rest. Renewed souls enter rest of God. Hebrews 4: 9-11, Jesus also said in the Book of Matthew 11:28-30, come unto me all you that are labor.
Number seven, renewed vision and passion for the lost. Before Isaiah got that vision, he was woe-lizing everybody, ‘woe unto this, woe onto this’, but in Isaiah 6: 5 – 8 when he saw the glory of God, it was a different ball game.
Please there are biblical examples; David, after sin and guilt, he cried out, he was renewed; Peter after denying Jesus Christ, he became the lead Apostle; Isaiah after he was renewed, he became a sober prophet; Paul the persecutor became the preacher; and Israel under Nehemiah became revived; the prodigal son when he got the nude, his identity came back to life.
What are the things I need to do rather than this one? Number one, you need to confess and repent. The greatest tragedy that any man could suffer is to live in self deceit. In the old, in those days before I got born again, we used to listen to Bob Marley, ‘they think they are in heaven but they are in hell’ (I can’t remember that line again). Confess and repent, David repented, and if you confess…
Number two, pray a prayer of renewal. Like David said, you need to pray a prayer of renewal, fellowship with God through prayer and worship, because God is a Spirit, those who worship Him must do in Spirit and in truth, that’s John 4: 24.
Number three, prioritize the word of God. Isaiah 40: 8, grass withers, flower fade, the word of our God shall stand forever; Matthew 4:4, Luke 4:4, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God; Psalm 119: 9 -11, wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to the word of God. 11Thy word have I kept in my heart, that I might not sin against You; in John 17:17, sanctify them through the truth, Your word is true.
Number four, you need to yield to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Permit the Spirit to walk through you, to wash you, to renew you and to do the needful.
Number five, wait on Him. Isaiah 40:29 – 31, wait on him. I don’t know who I’m talking to today because service is just for one person, maybe you are the one, which area of you miss it? Our faces are shining but you know where you are, the greatest tragedy that could befall anyone is to live in self-deceit, where are you?
This day as we pray, you are going to ask the Lord, renew my heart, I don’t just want to take advantage of the blessing that You have released, I also want to be Yours. Let’s rise up and pray.
Lord, renew my heart; you know your life, you know the area you are missing it, Lord renew my heart, I want to have the blessing of renewal, Lord renew me, renew my heart, I want to walk with You, I want my spirit, my soul and my body to be for You. Your will and your walk must be for God, Lord help me, thank You everlasting Father, You are my Father, I worship You. Thank You our Father, blessed be Your holy name, in Jesus mighty name we prayed.

Eternal Father, thank You, I worship Your holy name my Father, thank You Almighty and ever faithful God because You are the One who has ordained me to this service. Behold the hands lifted, I stretch forth my hand over those hands today, let the renewal of transformation, rejuvenation, a new beginning commence in their lives right away in the name of Jesus. Let the blood of everlasting Jesus cleanse them from all iniquity in the name of Jesus name.
I ask oh God that in the maternity of God today, a new birth of glory will come in in the name of Jesus. And I pray that the power for all of us to serve God, You will give unto us, thank You our Father.
Those who raise up their hand, I want to be praying for you specially like my father in the Lord said, I should bring the names of those who will surrender their lives to Jesus anywhere I go or who want to dedicate their lives, but please I want to do this prayer because the Lord spoke to me expressly while we were doing the first prayer that someone in the house, you felt there is no hope, God said I am a renewal of hope and I will surprise you as this month end.
A young lady here, I don’t know what happened but God said over the years you have had series of disappointment and you felt maybe serving God didn’t worth it, the Lord spoke to my heart expressly that it worth it, you are just one foot to your blessing.
Father, by the commandment of linking our hands together, I lifted up my hand here and I pray that everyone in this house, young or old, may the power of renewal come into their lives in the name of Jesus Christ. Whatsoever doesn’t agree with the name of Jesus, whatsoever God has not planted, may they be rooted out in the name of Jesus Christ.
By the power of Jesus, by the power of the word from the beginning, by the power of the Holy Spirit, let everything that is working against their progress be totally disbanded in the name of Jesus. And I pray that everyone in today’s service will have a lasting testimony. I declare over everyone here that that which you are configured, wired, destined, appointed for will come to fulfillment in your life.
By the time this particular service ends, all your sorrow, problem, lack of spiritual flavor be terminated in the name of Jesus, and may the Lord answer all our prayers; here on earth, may we fulfill our purpose and make it to the kingdom of heaven, in Jesus mighty name we prayed.
