Thank You Father, thank You Lord! Let’s appreciate the King of kings, let’s put our hands together, thank you Father; Father we appreciate you; build a nation for us where Your peace and justice shall reign in the mighty name of Jesus.
Thank you Lord, glory be to your name in Jesus mighty name we have given thanks.
We are going to pray again standing on the word of God in Jeremiah 32: 27, just like the pastor that led us in prayers did. Jeremiah 32: 27 says, “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for Me to do?” Absolutely nothing is too hard for the God we serve to do; so we are going to cry and say Father, Father, every delay in my life, every delay in my destiny, as the God of all flesh, put an end to them in the mighty name of Jesus.
Speak to your Father; call upon Him; every delay in my life, in my destiny, Father, as a God of all flesh, put an end to them, put an end to them now in the mighty name of Jesus. There is nothing too hard for You to do; I look unto You, the author and finisher of my faith; every delay in my life, with my destiny, Father put an end to them. Thank You Father, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
You will cry and say Father, Father, silence forever; every mouth speaking evil into my destiny, in the mighty name of Jesus; every mouth speaking evil into the lives of my loved ones, put an end to that, put an end to that mouth, silence that mouth in the mighty name of Jesus.
Pray, pray, call upon the King of kings; the Lord is here, strong and mighty in our midst this morning in the mighty name of Jesus; every mouth speaking god into the life of my loved ones, Father please silence them in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank You Father, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
We will cry again and say Father, You are the God of all flesh, keep me strong and healthy, bless me with robust health in the mighty name of Jesus. Bless my loved ones with robust health; bless Your church, every member of this church with robust health in the mighty name of Jesus. Call upon the King of kings, oh thank You Father, glory be to Your name, thank You Father, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
Almighty God we want to thank You again, we have spoken to Your ears and You say you will do as we have spoken in the mighty name of Jesus. In this service have Your way; be available to bless each and every one of us and at the end of the day, we are going to return all the glory unto You; blessed be the name of the Lord in Jesus mighty name we have prayed. And let the living soul say a better amen, amen!
Let’s put our hands together for Jesus, God bless you, please sit down in His presence. First of all, I want to say welcome to church this morning, God bless you, thank you for coming in the mighty name of Jesus. So we give God the glory for this opportunity again to stand before you to share with you, almighty God will hear all our heart desires in the mighty name of Jesus. I also want to thank the pastor in charge of the province who incidentally is away on another assignment, I want to thank him for this privilege to also be here standing before you, praise the Lord!
Quickly, our text for today just like we said earlier on is from Isaiah 43:18-19, and I will read quickly, it says “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old., verse 19 says, Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” That’s what the Lord said He would do for you and that’s what He will do for me in the mighty name of Jesus.
The topic for today is “A New Dawn”, we are moving into a new dawn in the mighty name of Jesus. Nigeria is stepping into a new dawn in the mighty name of Jesus; and I would like to share with you the following Bible passages before we start looking at what is a new dawn.
The first Bible passage I have here is Revelation 21: 5, and it says, “And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, (did he say that unto you?) Write: for these words are true and faithful”. We have a God that promises, His promises never fail in the mighty name of Jesus; it will not fail in your life, it will not fail in my own life in the mighty name of Jesus. As we move into the election week, the almighty God will do something new in Nigeria in the mighty name of Jesus. Praise the Lord!
The next Bible passage I would like to share with us is 2nd Corinthians 5: 17, it says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”. It shall become new for you in the mighty name of Jesus; the Lord will renew you in the mighty name of Jesus; He will also renew Nigeria in the mighty name of Jesus.
So if you are here and you have heard my word and you have not peradventure accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you will be given that opportunity to do so today in the mighty name of Jesus, so that you can start on a new dawn in the mighty name of Jesus, amen!
So today, my question is what is a new dawn? Let me try and answer that question briefly; it can simply be defined as end of an era and the beginning of another one. We have day and night, when it’s evening we say it is dusk; and when it’s morning the next day, we say it’s a dawn. So we can see the difference between dusk and dawn; dusk means the end of an era while dawn means the beginning of a new one. Praise the Lord!
Now we can also use some Bible examples, we have the case of King Nebuchadnezzar; he reigned in Babylon for so many years and eventually he now felt that he was all in all; he didn’t return glory to the King of kings, the One that planted him there and what happened? The Almighty God sent him away from the palace and he spent a whole of seven years in the forest with beasts, wild animals and the rest of them, eating grass for seven whole years. He was there until God decided to show him mercy and returned him back.
For him, that coming back to his palace was a new dawn; a new life has started for him. You can see the summary in the Book of Daniel 4:32- 33, we may not read that now, you can read that at home, Daniel 4:32-33. Amen!
Now we can even bring the definition closer home; we have our President in the person of Muhammad Buhari; by the constitution of Nigeria, by the end of May 28, 2023, his tenure as the President of Nigeria will come to an end, and then, that will be the end of an era, and then what happens after that? We now move into a new dawn the next day being May 29, 2023. Just like we have said, it shall be so unto Nigeria in the mighty name of Jesus.
So we can now see what a new dawn means; a new dawn beckons on Nigeria and Nigeria must witness a new dawn in the mighty name of Jesus, amen! The interesting thing is that God will use you and me to kick start that new dawn; He will use us to kick start that New Dawn and what will happen this coming Saturday? That will be the first leg of that new dawn, what are we supposed to do on Saturday? That is when we say we want a new dawn, President Muhammad Buhari, you have done your best, we want a new dawn and almighty God will give us a new dawn in the mighty name of Jesus. By the grace of God, it shall be so unto us in Jesus name.
So to cap our definition of a new dawn, Psalm 30: 5 says weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. That morning is our new dawn, remember we talked about dusk and dawn, so that morning is our new dawn, the Lord will cause our joy to be full in the mighty name of Jesus. Everything that will inhibit our joy, the almighty God will take it away in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!
Now in our text for today, Isaiah 43: 18 & 19, the Lord said we should forget about the former things, the things that have gone, the things that are old, we should forget them; and these things are (as we all know it in Nigeria): banditry, terrorism, oil theft, (name it) all over the place, the Lord said we should forget them, they are old things, they have gone; we should look forward to a new era; He said we should look forward to what He said in verse 19, He said the Lord will do a new thing.
That same God will revamp our economy in the mighty name of Jesus; He will put banditry and terrorism into a rest in the mighty name of Jesus. Remember that our prayer in Jeremiah 32: 27, it says He is the God of all flesh, is there anything too hard for Him? This one will not be too hard for Him to do in the mighty name of Jesus.
Brethren, in view of the expectations we have concerning Nigeria, we are going to make some declarations this morning, we are going to make some declarations and God will answer all our prayers in the mighty name of Jesus. So I ask you respectfully that let’s just be upstanding for the next few minutes in the mighty name of Jesus. John 14: 14 says “if ye shall ask anything in My name, I will do it”. So whatever we are going to ask God now, He is going to do it because we are going to pray in the name of Jesus, so God will do it for us in the mighty name of Jesus.
Lift up your right hand and say Father, Father, we decree and declare that the forthcoming elections in Nigeria, it shall be peaceful before the elections, during the elections and even after the elections in the mighty name of Jesus. So declare that, declare and decree, it shall be so unto us in the mighty name of Jesus.
The forthcoming elections in Nigeria, oh it shall be peaceful before the elections, during the elections and even after the elections in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank you father, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
We will pray again and say Father, we decree and declare that none of us, none of our loved ones will shed his blood or her blood during the elections in the mighty name of Jesus; the Lord will keep us safe in the mighty name of Jesus. Pray, pray, decree and declare in the mighty name of Jesus; the Lord is here in our midst in the mighty name of Jesus; none of us will shed his or her blood in these elections in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank You Father, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
We will pray again and say Father, Father, in these elections, only your counsel shall prevail; only your counsel shall stand in the mighty name of Jesus. Only the counsel of the Living God, that is the only thing that shall stand in the mighty name of Jesus, thank You Father, blessed be the name of the Lord in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
Please be seated in His presence, God bless you. Now I want to look at some of the reasons why God will usher Nigeria into a new dawn; He has done it before for the children of Israel and we are children of Israel by adoption, so He can still do it for us in the mighty name of Jesus. Exodus 3: 7 says, and the Lord said I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are where? Praise the Lord!
I will repeat it again; “the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Nigeria and I have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows”. The almighty God has heard your cry, He has heard my own cry and He will arise and give us a new dawn in the mighty name of Jesus.
That was what God saw; the children of Israel were in captivity for how many years? 430 years in the land of Egypt and the Lord said enough is enough, and He sent Moses the deliverer to bring them out from the land of Egypt. What of encounter between Pharaoh and Moses, and eventually what happened to Pharaoh? All his army and himself and their horses and chariots, they were all drowned in the Red Sea. The Lord will deal mercilessly with the enemies of Nigeria in the mighty name of Jesus. They will drown in the Red Sea of Nigeria in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!
So God will arise for us in the mighty name of Jesus. Psalm 68: 1 says the Lord will arise and scatter all His enemies; everyone who is the enemy of Nigeria is the enemy of the Lord, the Lord will arise and deal with them in the mighty name of Jesus.
Another reason why God will usher in a new dawn in Nigeria is because of time and chance. The Bible says time and chance happeneth to everything; there is nothing that God created that time and chance does not affect, and therefore, He has said that a time for a new dawn in Nigeria has come and nobody can turn it back in the mighty name of Jesus.
Where is my authority coming from? My authority is coming from the Book of Ecclesiastes 9: 11, and it says “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all”. We have talked about time, when it’s going to be and we all agreed earlier that the time starts this Saturday when you take the first step to cast your vote, that is the time it has started already.
Again what is chance? Chance simply means opportunity. God has given us that opportunity to turn things around, so if we fail to cease that opportunity, don’t blame God, you have to blame yourself; so grab that opportunity and do what you need to do on the 25th of February, that is next Saturday and God will hear and answer all our prayers in the mighty name of Jesus.
We have cried several times from this altar encouraging our brethren, encouraging all of us to make sure we have our PVC; if you don’t have your PVC now, there is nothing anybody can do because you can’t collect it now until probably after the election, but you can still be part of this new dawn, you can still be part of this new era we want to usher in even without your PVC, and how can you do it? You have friends, you have family who all have their PVCs, so why don’t you encourage them to make sure they vote, to make sure they use those PVCs, let them not sit at home and say they are monitoring events on the TV, they don’t need to do that, let them just go there, vote, we have prayed for peace to reign and God said He has heard us, so there will be peace in all your polling units in the mighty name of Jesus, so you’ll be able to cast your vote and at the end of the day you have played your role in the New Dawn and God will reward you for that in the mighty name of Jesus. So shall it be for us in the mighty name of Jesus.
Another thing why God said I want to do something new in Nigeria I want to usher in a new dawn for each and every one of us is because of the health of the nation. If somebody is sick, what does the person do? Go and see your doctor and then call on God to please answer your prayers in terms of healing. So the health of the nation, I’m referring to the economy, we cannot stand up and post that the economy of Nigeria is robust, yes, we are the largest economy in Africa but we all know what we are going through.
Economic analysts said we have 133 million people that are below the poverty line in Nigeria, it is not a good testimony, and that testimony shall be reversed in the mighty name of Jesus. That is why we are looking forward to a new dawn because God has promised that He is going to reverse that pronouncement in the mighty name of Jesus; that narrative will never stand in the mighty name of Jesus. He did it before and He can still do it for us again in the mighty name of Jesus.
You know I said earlier, we are children of Israel by adoption; in the book of 2nd Kings 7:1, “Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of where? At the gate of Nigeria in the mighty name of Jesus. So what do you expect in Nigeria? The Lord will turn around our economy in the mighty name of Jesus.
Prophet Elisha made a pronouncement based on the leading of the Holy Spirit and it was established in verse 18; if you look at 2nd Kings 7: 18, it says “And it came to pass as the man of God had spoken to the king, saying, Two measures of barley for a shekel, and a measure of fine flour for a shekel, shall be tomorrow about this time in the gate of where? In the gate of Nigeria in the mighty name of Jesus, it shall be so unto us in the mighty name of Jesus.
Remember the word of God in Hebrews 13: 8, it says “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever”, what does that mean? Very simple, meaning what He did yesterday, He doesn’t change, He can still do it today and He will also do it tomorrow in the mighty name of Jesus. So what was witnessed at that gate of Samaria, it can also be witnessed even on a higher magnitude in the gate of Nigeria in the mighty name of Jesus. So we key into that and it shall be so unto us in the mighty name of Jesus.
Remember His word in John 14: 12, it says “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father”. He’s already with His father at His right hand interceding for me and you so we can do greater works in Nigeria in the mighty name of Jesus. As we call upon His name, He will arise for us in the mighty name of Jesus.
We stand on the authority of the word of God and declare that the Lord will revive our economy in the mighty name of Jesus. The economy of Nigeria will flourish in the mighty name of Jesus; in this era of New Dawn, so shall it be unto us in the mighty name of Jesus.
I call upon each and every one of us again, let’s be upstanding and make another declaration in the mighty name of Jesus. The word of God in the Book of Ezekiel 21: 27 says I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him. We are going to cry and say Father, Father, every situation in Nigeria that does not glorify Your name, Father overturn, overturn, overturn in the mighty name of Jesus; overturn that situation, every situation, every circumstance in our country Nigeria that does not glorify Your name, Father overturn it in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank you Father, blessed be the name of the Lord, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
Please be seated again, God bless you. There is power in the prayer of agreement; we have agreed in one accord that this is what we want the King of kings to do for us and there shall be testimonies to glorify His name in the mighty name of Jesus.
So we make progress, we will move on, we want to look at some of the traits or characteristics of a new dawn, we want to focus on that briefly; the traits and the characteristics of a new dawn; for a new dawn to happen, you must envision the invisible. What ordinary eyes cannot see, what ordinary ears cannot hear is something that resides within you, you want to bring it up. God has given you a vision, God has given you a mission; the person next to you would not have heard, he would not have known about it, it is within you and you want to make it to happen.
Let’s look at the example of what happened in the Bible in the Book of Genesis 13: 14- 15, before I read the passage, it has to do with Abraham and Lot. Abraham was the uncle of Lot and they got to a stage where they needed to part because their herdsmen were quarreling with each other and Abraham gave him the option, choose first where you want to go so we can separate from each other; he lifted his eyes, looked and saw the greenery along Sodom and Gomorrah axis and said yes, this is what I want. Abraham said no problem, you go ahead and he went ahead and then Abraham listened to the voice of God and God told him this place I’m giving you, this is what you are going to experience; it will blossom and your children’s children children’s children would inherit in the mighty name of Jesus, forever, it shall be given to his seed.
So Genesis 13: 14- 15 says, “And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: Verse 15 says, For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever”.
We all know how Lot ended when he chose Sodom and Gomorrah, that was what happened to him; Sodom and Gomorrah will not happen to you in the mighty name of Jesus. That is why it is necessary for us to choose wisely come February 25th 2023 in the mighty name of Jesus.
Politicians have promised us a new dawn through their manifesto; we have all seen their manifesto, beautifully and wonderfully prepared documents; God has a better plan for Nigeria and that is why we are saying we are standing on the word of God that only the counsel of the Lord shall stand in Nigeria, we have agreed in the prayer of agreement that we shared earlier on.
Also, aside from our country Nigeria, it is also your turn and my turn to envisage our new dawn. We run our businesses, we run our careers, we run our families, in all that we do, even our ministries – we run our ministries, what are you expecting God to do for you? What is that thing that is invisible to the common eye that you want to get to? What is that thing that is inaudible to the ordinary ear that you want the Holy Spirit to minister unto you? You will have a new dawn in the mighty name of Jesus. So listen silently and the almighty God will show you where to go in the mighty name of Jesus.
Another characteristic I also want us to look at is the question of you have to think something that is unthinkable; something that is unimaginable, that’s where you would want to be. We’ve prayed for Nigeria overturning whatever that does not glorify the name of God, revamping our economy, pulling out 133 million out of poverty, it is not a day task but he is the God of all flesh, is there anything too hard for Him to do? Absolutely nothing! So He will do it for us in the mighty name of Jesus.
So for example, if your father or your parents one way or the other didn’t do as much as expected, your prayer will never be let me be like my parents, your prayer will be let me be far better than my parents; and even for us here, if you have children, what will be your prayer for your children? Let my children be far better than me. So we look forward to a better future and a glorious future and God will do it for us in the mighty name of Jesus.
He is a promise keeper, He has promised, He has never failed to keep His promise, so think of the unthinkable and it will start happening to you in the mighty name of Jesus.
So the next one we also want to look up is that for a new dawn to come, it requires prayer and also faith. Prayer and faith. Psalms 81: 10 says “I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it”. That is the promise of the King of kings, He said open thy mouth wide; how do you open your mouth? You open your mouth to pray; you open your mouth to make decree and declarations.
Remember here I asked you to respectively stand up and we all stood up and made some decrees and declarations, God opened our mouth and put those things in our mouth and we now threw it back to Him and those things shall come to be in the mighty name of Jesus; they shall all be established in the mighty name of Jesus.
So if you want a turn around, you need to open your mouth in faith and call upon the King of kings. John 6: 63 says “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life”. Because you have the Spirit of God living in you, the pronouncements that you make, the decrees that you make, they are what? They are life and they are spirit and they shall all be established in the mighty name of Jesus. Praise the Lord!
Therefore your mouth, what you say is what you have; your destiny is where? In your mouth; what you pronounce, you have it; God will not fill a closed mouth, if you keep your mouth shut, God will not fill it, God will say you are not interested and I know that we are all interested in the mighty name of Jesus, and they say a closed mouth is what? Is a closed destiny, you will never have a closed destiny in the mighty name of Jesus.
So you will open your mouth and pray, you will open your mouth and decree, you will open your mouth and declare in the mighty name of Jesus and it shall be well with Nigeria in the mighty name of Jesus; it shall also be well with your own economy in the mighty name of Jesus, so shall it be in Jesus mighty name we have prayed, amen!
Then another thing I also want to draw our attention to is that ushering a new down has its own civic responsibilities, there are things God expects us to do. Civic responsibilities have to do with government laws, obeying government rules, regulations and the rest of them. For example, you should be able to take part in the next election that is coming, it’s our civic duty to do that. You should be able to take part in the census, I understand census is coming probably in April or May this year, so you should be able to take part in that and also you are a worker, you are a businessman, you should be able to pay your taxes to government so that tomorrow you cannot come back and say ah government failed to do this, they failed to repair this road; you should ask yourself how much tax have I paid to government?
These are all our civic responsibilities and it happened in the Bible, we can see that in the Book of Luke 2: 4- 5, it says “And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) Verse 5 says, “To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child Jesus”. So he paid his tax, he took his family – that’s Mary carrying Jesus and then they went and performed his civic duties, so we should be able to perform our civic duties; one is coming up as I said on Saturday, be there to perform your civic responsibilities, God will hear all our prayers and God will answer all our prayers in the mighty name of Jesus; He will never leave us stranded in the mighty name of Jesus.
His word says that He will not forsake us, He will never forget us in the mighty name of Jesus; everything we have spoken to His ears this morning, He will turn them to testimonies in the mighty name of Jesus. Father we just want to say thank You, thank You Lord.
Now before we round up, I want to make a call; you have heard my word, I want you to look inside and say how am I standing with the Lord Jesus Christ? Have I given my life to Him? Am I ready to come under His Lordship? He has promised each and every one of us something this morning, He said He will give us a new dawn and for Him to do that for us, we must have accepted Him as our Father so that we can talk to Him son to Father relationship and He will accomplish all those things He has promised to do for us.
So are you here, you are yet to give your life to Christ or you accepted him in the past but for one reason or the other you are no longer sure of your salvation, if you fall into this category, can I see you wave your hand? I just want you to take that bold step to come here so I can pray for you so that your own New Dawn can come speedily in the mighty name of Jesus.
Is there anybody here, you want to say Father, I want to come to You; I want to accept You as my Lord and personal Savior, even in the gallery is there anybody who wants to do that? Here in the auditorium, if you want to do so you can just wave your hand and we are going to pray for you in the mighty name of Jesus.
Anybody in our midst who wants to say Father I thank you, I glorify Your name; in the auditorium, is there anybody here who wants to say Father, I want to accept You as my Lord and personal Savior and it shall be well with me, thank You Father. It appears we have all accepted Him, thank You Father.
Let’s just bless the King of kings, let’s just give Him thanks, let’s be upstanding, let’s just bless Him, let’s just give Him thanks, let’s give Him praise, let’s give Him adoration; He’s a wonderful God; He’s a mighty God; the King of kings and the Lord of lords; the Lord strong and mighty in battle; let’s just bless Him. Father we just want to say thank You in Jesus mighty name we have given thanks, amen!
We are going to say a few prayers as we try to round up quickly; the word of God says in the book of Haggai 2: 9, it says the glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former in the mighty name of Jesus. We are going to relate that to Nigeria that the glory we are expecting in the new dawn, it shall be greater than the former glory in the mighty name of Jesus.
So we are going to cry and say Father, Father, in this new dawn, in this new dawn, let the glory of the latter Nigeria be greater than the former in the mighty name of Jesus. Talk to the King of kings, talk to the Lord of lords; my Father and my God, oh in this new dawn, in this new era, the glory of the latter Nigeria will be far greater than the former in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank You Father, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed. Amen!
Also Haggai 2: 8 says the silver is mine and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts, all belongs to Him, and when we are talking about silver and gold, we are talking about the economy, not just the economy of Nigeria again, the economy of me and you; we are talking about that; all these things belong to Him; the wealth of the nations, they belong to the King of kings.
So we are going to cry and say Father, Father, in this new dawn please revive our economy, prosper the works of my hands in the mighty name of Jesus. Cry unto Him; my Father and my God, in this new dawn please revive the economy of Nigeria, prosper the works of my hands in the mighty name of Jesus; help us Lord and let Your name be glorified. Thank you Father, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
We are going to cry again and say Father, Father, in Nigeria, banish banditry, take away banditry, take away terrorism, take away kidnapping from our land in the mighty name of Jesus. They do not belong to us; all these evil vices, Father please take them away, take them away from Nigeria in the mighty name of Jesus.
In this new dawn Father, take them away in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank You Father, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
We will pray again and say Father, in this season, in this season as we continue to wait on You, as we continue to wait on You through fasting and prayers, Father please answer all my prayers in the mighty name of Jesus.
