Father in heaven, we bless Your name for another opportunity to gather to worship You; thank You Lord for keeping us standing, today we stand in Your grace, we stand in Your love, in Your mercy, we stand in the confidence of Your power and in the hope of a better tomorrow, Lord, we ask that You will manifest Your grace and love in our midst today and You will demonstrate Your power like never before in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Lord Almighty, we are no slaves to fear because You have not given us the spirit of fear but of love, of power and of a sound mind, we pray that for everyone under the influence of my voice today there shall be divine inspiration in Jesus name. You will be encouraged from above in the name of Jesus, and through Your word and by Your word, You will bless everyone in Jesus name.
Thank You for all that You have done for us from January up to this present moment; thank You for Your provision; thank You for Your protection, thank You for Your guidance, thank You for not allowing the devil to rejoice over us; thank You Father Almighty God for the greater miracle that You have ahead of us, thank You because it shall be well and You will round up this week for us beautifully and the remaining months in the year will be much more glorious, thank You Father because it is done, in Jesus wonderful name we have prayed.
We welcome every one of you to this glorious service today holding on the last Sunday which happens to be the last day of August, year 2025; I’m sure you all agree with me that it’s been a beautiful journey and I bless the Lord for bringing us this far and of course trust Him for the rest of the journey, all I can assure us is that there’s a glory ahead in the name of Jesus. You will not miss your steps in the name of Jesus; you will get all your blessings in the name of Jesus and you will walk in your high places in the mighty name of Jesus.
So I want us to keep hope alive knowing very well, very strongly too that the remaining four months will be much more glorious than we’ve had so far in Jesus name.
Tomorrow by the grace of God we’ll have our prayer chain, 6:30 in the evening, the theme is A New Song, and I pray, because every miracle comes with a new song, I pray that God will give you a new song of victory in Jesus name. When the children of Israel crossed over the Red Sea, they sang a new song; when Hannah was visited by God and God remembered her and gave her her request, she sang a new song; when you go through the Bible, you’ll find so many instances of people singing a new song, and I pray it is your turn and you will sing a new song in the name of Jesus. Praise the Lord.
Let’s open our Bible to the Book of Isaiah 45: 22 & 23. By the way, I want to say thank you to the choir for the beautiful reition, the Lord will bless you in Jesus name. It says, “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. 23I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return. That unto me every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall swear.” May God bless the reading and the hearing of His words in the name of Jesus Christ.
This morning I will be talking to us on the topic Look Up to God. Brethren, we live in such a time that we are faced with a lot of distractions, as a matter of fact, today, our generation is being referred to as the sight and sound generation with many ICT gadgets. We are in the era of iPhones; today you hear iPhone 16 Pro Max executive, iPad and all the rest, it got so bad that even as this message is going on, you’ll be surprised that some phones will be ringing, you’ll hear phones ringing.
You go to churches, you go to party, even places that supposed to be solemn – solemn assemblies, you hear phones interrupting the serenity of the atmosphere from time to time. So many things are vying for our attention, you will be shocked that even as the message is going on, there are some people on Facebook, look at your neighbors, tell them this is church time. They are on Facebook, some are on IG – Instagram, and at the end of the day they come to church, we ask how was the service today, they will say it was beautiful, but ask them what was the topic.
We are so distracted and when we are confronted with life challenges, we are tempted to seek help from unusual places in view of our desperation. David in Psalm 121 says I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. David asked the question where tangible definite help will come from, and he discovered by revelation that our help can only come from the Maker of heaven and earth.
Beloved, we can only aggravate our predicament by going to improbable places to look for help. I listened to the testimony of a lady in the course of the week who was in far away United States of America, but owing to desperation for marriage, her friend introduced her to a prophet and before she knew what happened, she started having online prayers with a prophet. 12 in the night, 1:00 a.m., 2:00 a.m, she said they continued their prayers and before he could say Jack, it got to a point she packed her things and decided to come to Nigeria to meet the man.
Long story short, she got married to the man and things took a different turn; somebody who has been in America came back to Lagos and she was walking barefooted along Egbeda road. But some people who knew her saw her and called the parents in America; we saw your daughter walking barefooted with pregnancy, later she delivered but it took her 3 years for deliverance to come her way.
You must be careful of places you go to for help, you know I’ve said it times and times again. For me if you look at me very well, I’m not in competition with anybody, I will give you the word of God, that is what I know, and the Bible says He sent His word, His word healeth them and delivered them from their destruction. But there are many of you, until even we spite on your face, you don’t believe that anything has happened, until we shake your head, blow air into your ears, and the likes. Desperation makes people to go to the improbable places, places where they get their problems complicated.
Brethren, God’s word gives us what I call irrevocable direction and encouragement concerning where we can get authentic and durable help. The Almighty God Himself who controls the universe by the word of His power says we should look unto Him and be saved. I want to tell us today that it is our looking in the right direction that will bring the right attention.
It is on record that all those who look up to God in times of trouble were delivered, lifted and became victorious. There are many examples of such in the Bible; you know the story of David, David had issues, not one, not two, from one level of trouble to the other, but thank goodness, at every turn David was looking up to God, he never looked to up to any man. You know the story of Jabez; Jabez problem came from the beginning, the name was the source of his problem and he carried on with this problem for many years until he had a divine encounter, and that divine encounter came by him looking up to God.
A day came that he decided let me approach God, let me talk to God, he reported the matter to God and every request that he made was granted him. I pray today in the name of Jesus, as you look up to God and God alone, every of your request the Lord will grant unto you in Jesus name.
We have the story of Hannah, the book of first Samuel; she was barren, as a matter of fact, the Bible says her womb was shut, but the same womb that got shut was opened because Hannah never ceased to look up unto God. She will go before the Lord in prayers, she will go before the Lord crying, she will go before the Lord telling God, “God, You can do it for me, there is no door that You cannot open”, and I want to tell you brethren, there is nothing God cannot do.
I read the testimony of a man two days ago who said, “I praise the Lord (it was written) for saving me from air crash”. He was in Niger and he was supposed to take a particular aircraft and he said something just told him don’t go with that aircraft, he decided to go to another airline to do another booking. Long story short, he left, by the time he got to where he was going, Paris, he heard about the fact that the one that he decided or which he was booked before has crashed, no survivor. Why did you not take it? He said he just had that burden not to go with that particular airline. If you are a child of God, God directs your step.
You know Jeremiah said it is not in a man to direct his path, when God is involved, you will give the testimony of the miraculous. He could not believe what happened, but it happened. What am I trying to say? Look, your case is not beyond God, you may say, “Pastor, if you know how long we’ve been battling with this’, it’s you that have been battling with it, when the right time comes, God will just give it a kick. My prayer for every one of you today is that you will not go back home with the same problems you came with in Jesus name.
And I want to say that those who look up to God will not for any reason bow to men; when you look up to God, you won’t have any cause to look up or depend on any man. In Psalm 34:5, the Bible says, they looked unto him, and were lightened; and their faces were not ashamed; I pray today that God will take away shame from your life. Every cause of shame, God will remove in the mighty name of Jesus.
It appears it is automatic that when you look up to God you’ll be instantly saved and delivered; the encouragement to look up to God is for us all. All the ends of the earth according to Isaiah 45:22, our text which says look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. Repeatedly God is calling us to look to Him the Rock of ages, the Rock that can never fail, when we look in the right direction to God in particular, He promises to transform all the waste places, the wilderness and the desert in our lives.
According to Isaiah 51:1-3, it says, “Harken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the Lord; look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and lo the hole of the pit whence ye are digged. 2Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bore you; for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him. 3For the Lord shall comfort Zion: (I stand on this exalted altar this morning, I decree comfort unto you in Jesus name. Comfort into your home in the name of Jesus, comfort into your businesses in the name of Jesus, comfort into your finances in the name of Jesus, comfort into your bodies in the name of Jesus).
He will comfort all her waste places: and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. Let the people of the Lord shout hallelujah! As you look up to God from today, the voice of melody and rejoicing will not cease in your home in the name of Jesus.
Beloved, when the fiery snake bit the Israelites in the wilderness, they were asked to look to the symbol of the cross, that you’ll find in Numbers 21:9.
And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld a serpent of brass, he lived.
I pray today in the name of Jesus, because John 3:14 & 15 says, and as Moses lifted up the servant in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up. 15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life; as we look up to God and trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, you will surely live in Jesus name.
There is a difference between living and merely existing; there are people that are just merely existing and there are those who are living, thank God you are among the living. When you see those who are merely existing, they prefer death to life, those are the categories of people that will say iku ya j’esin, esin is reproach, shame, they prefer to die because there is no reason, there is nothing to show for life. But I decree today in the mighty name of Jesus that you will not merely exist, you will live and live to the glory of God in the mighty name of Jesus.
John 10:10 says the thief cometh not, but to steal, to kill, and to destroy: but the Son of man has come that I might give you life and life in abundance. Receive abundant life. Maybe I should speak like the evangelists will say, they’ll say where God finds the loudest amen let that miracle get there. I decree today in the name of Jesus that you will not merely exist, catch the miracle, catch the fullness of His grace, catch the fullness of His power in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is our new season, a season of celebration, a season of abundance.
Look, the Bible tells us, it says you will not see the wind, neither will you see the water, but not withstanding your valley shall be filled. Subsidy or no subsidy you will fulfill destiny; inflation or no inflation you will get there; FX flunctuation or not you will fulfill destiny, the kind of profits you’ve never made before, you will begin to make from now.
But you must learn to look up to God, when you look up to God and the supernatural help will locate you, it’s automatic. Hebrew 12:2 says looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; maybe you look up to a man in the past, now it is time to repent and look up to God, trust Him to arise on your behalf. The best of a man is a man, and because the best of a man is a man, he’s vulnerable; because the best of a man is a man, he’s limited, they will promise you and fail, sometimes not because they want to fail you but limitation, because of their own limitation they will fail, but we have a God that never fails.
I remember a song, ‘I have a Father that will never ever fail me…’. God does not fail, He has not failed in the past, He will not fail now, and He will not fail you in the future.
So I want you to just go before the Lord and bless His holy name this morning, thank Him for the word that you have heard. I want you to seize the opportunity of today to repent from looking up to man, to repent from looking up to your circumstances. Pray to God that Father from today, I fix my eyes on You, I fix my eyes on You oh Lord, I trust in Your holy sacrifice of Jesus the Lamb of God that took away the sins of the world.
I look up to You Lord, from today I look up unto You; I trust You Lord Almighty God for my divine help and deliverance in the name of Jesus. Let my coming here today not be in vain, don’t let me go back home the same way I came in the name of Jesus. You have never failed before, Father in the name of Jesus I pray once again, oh Lord as I begin to look up to You, Father please don’t let me fail, let my life from today begin to attract divine help and deliverance in every area of my life. Thank You Father because You have answered, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
I want us to pray for like two three minutes, but before then I want all of us to bow down our heads. If you are here, consistently you have been let down, consistently you have been disappointed, because you’ve been looking up to men, and today you heard His word, you want to change that narrative, you want to give yourself to God and to God alone, and you want to surrender everything to God knowing full well that He’s our Father that never fails…

Mark today’s date and mark my word that things will take a new turn for better in your life from today in the mighty name of Jesus. Mercy will cancel judgment in your life, mercy will overrule punishment in your life, mercy will triumph over suffering in your life, and you’ll breathe a fresh breath of air that will bring liberation, that will bring transformation and that will bring abundancy to your life, and so shall it be in Jesus name.
So the rest of us you are going to cry to say Father, please transform my waste places, wilderness and the desert of my life in the mighty name of Jesus. In Isaiah 51 that we read, He promised to transform our waste places, our desert and our wilderness. I want you to pray whatever that means in your life and whatever means as far as God is concerned, pray to God, Father, transform my waste places, transform my wilderness and the desert in my life in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank You Father because You have answered, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
In John 10:10, the last part of it God has promised to give us life in abundance. So I want you to pray to God and say Father, by Your grace, let me live my life to the fullness in Your glory in the name of Jesus. Open your mouth and cry unto the Lord; Father by Your grace, let me live my life to the fullness oh Lord in Your glory in the name of Jesus. Thank You Father because it is done, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
The next prayer you are going to pray, you are going to cry to God, say Father, please help me to look up to You at all times so that I can attract the right attention from You in the name of Jesus. When you attract the right attention from God, you get blessed by God. I want you to pray to God, help me to look up to You at all times so that I can attract the right attention.
I want you to pray the next prayer, I want you to pray to God and say Father, give me a special gift to round up the month of August in the name of Jesus. By 12 midnight today, it is bye-bye to August 2025, I want you to pray to God very fervently this morning and say Father, give me a special gift, a glorious gift to round up the month of August in the mighty name of Jesus.”
And lastly, you are going to pray to God and say Father, let me attract Your divine attention, power, and presence all through the ember months in the name of Jesus. From 12 midnight as we draw the curtain on August, of course, we open the door to the ember months, I want you to pray to God and say Father, let me attract divine attention, power and presence all through the ember months. Thank You Father because it is done, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
I join my faith with yours and I pray that the hands of the Lord be upon you all today in the name of Jesus. It will be upon you to bless you, the hands of the Lord will be upon you to help you; everywhere you go you will attract favor and His grace shall be multiply onto you. The coming months will suit you in every area, the months of embers will suit you, it will bring you peace, it will bring you joy, it will bring you multiplication, it will bring you protection. You won’t lose anything, you will not lose your mind, you will not miss yourself in the mighty name of Jesus.
Testimonies await you and your loved ones in the mighty name of Jesus. So shall it be for so we decree in the name of God the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
September is our month of divine accomplishment, you will accomplish purpose.
